InColossians,PaulwritestothechurchinColossaeencouragingthemtoestablishtheirfaithinJesus. InColossians1:10,heshares,“soastowalkinamannerworthyoftheLord,fullypleasingtohim: bearingfruitineverygoodworkandincreasingintheknowledgeofGod,”thesourceofaChrist follower’sstrengthandjoy.
Colossians1:10andtheideaofwalkingworthyservedasOrangewood’sspiritualthemelastschool year.ThroughouttheNewTestament,followersofJesusarechallengedtoliveouttheirfaithina mannerworthyofHim.Yet,wedon’tdothisonourownorthroughourownpower.Rather,Jesus callsusintoapersonalrelationshipwithHimwhereinwefindourstrength,ourloveforGodand othersgrows,andourbeliefsandactionsalignwithHischaracter.
It’swiththisunderstandingthatOrangewoodChristianexiststopartnerwithfamiliesbyequipping studentswithChrist-firsteducationwhichwepraywillprofoundlyshapetheirloveforJesusalong withtheirdailywalkinleadingandservingothersforChrist.

Highschoolstudentsparticipatedasbothlawyersandwitnesses inafictionalcriminalcasecompetition,withOrangeCounty judgespresidingoverthetrialsandlawyersactingasjurorsto evaluatescores.Monthsofpreparationwereevidentthroughout thedayasstudentsexaminedwitnesses,enteredevidence, arguedrulesoflaw,gaveopeningstatementsandclosing arguments,andtestifiedaswitnesses
Inthefall,Orangewoodvarsityfootball, cheerandvolleyballathleticsteams traveledtoLovelandColoradotocompete againstResurrectionChristianSchool.It wasagreattripforteambonding,culture building,devotionalsandspeakers,with footballandvolleyballgames
Orangewoodbroughtbackthetraditionofanannualtripforourseniors tofosterrelationshipsandbuildcommunity.
Thiswasourfirstyeartoparticipate intheScrippsNationalSpellingBee competitionfor4ththrough6thgrade students,allowingthemto competitivelyrefinetheir spellingskillsandexpand
AttheheartofOrangewoodChristianSchoolisthecommitmenttoprovidea Christ-centeredcollegepreparatoryeducation Fromthelowerschool’sprojectbasedacademicfoundation,tothetransitionalcurriculumgrowthinmiddle school,andonthroughtherigorouscoursesofhighschool,everyacademic subjectistaughtfromaBiblicalworldview.Thestrengthinfulfillingthis commitmentlieswithourtalentedanddedicatedfacultymembers.Thisyear73 teachershelpedguidestudentsinacademicgrowththroughcoresubjectsand enrichmentactivitieswithaneffectiveblendofeducationaltechnology, experientiallearning,andtraditionalinstructionalmethods;alltoencourage studentsinbecomingbetterthinkersandproblem-solvers,andtoknowhowmuch theyarevaluedasindividuals.
