GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE

July brought us plenty of much-needed rainfall over 13 inches in total since June! While the wet weather presented some challenges, our dedicated maintenance team has done an outstanding job improving course conditions each day, and we appreciate your continued support and patience.

Looking ahead, we’ll be completing our second and final aerifications of the year this month. This round will be a bit less aggressive than the first to minimize stress during the August heat. These important practices will help strengthen the turf and set us up for outstanding playing conditions this fall and a healthy transition into winter.

Aerification Schedule:

Tournament Course: August 4th–6th

Member Course: August 25th–27th

We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to seeing you out on the course!

ARROWFIT

Behind Your Golf Swing: Strengthening Your Posterior Chain

Most golfers focus on perfecting their mechanics, but one of the biggest things holding your swing back may be right behind you. Your posterior chain, the network of muscles running along your back including your rhomboids, middle traps, rear delts, and rotator cuff, is the unsung hero of a powerful, consistent golf swing

Often times, we are hunched over a computer, slouching in your car, looking down at your phone These lifestyle habits create "anterior dominance" your chest and front shoulder muscles become tight while your back muscles become weak. On the golf course, this imbalance translates to loss of posture during your swing, reduced clubhead speed, and that frustrating inconsistency

When your posterior chain is strong, you maintain better posture throughout your swing, create more separation between your hips and shoulders, and generate the crucial deceleration forces needed after impact. Without this strength, your swing will lack control and leak energy.

**Try This Exercise:** Face pulls with resistance bands Set up at chest height, pull the band to your face while squeezing your shoulder blades together This targets your rear delts and middle t
