CURRENT WORK

THE TERROIR WORKSHOP: GLOBAL COMMS

As the global agency of record for Grandes Pagos de España (GPE), Gregory +Vine launched The TerroirWorkshop in 2023, the first global education platform dedicated to promoting the rich legacy of single estate winemaking in Spain. As part of agency scope, G+V directors Helen Gregory and Natasja Mallory co-authored more than 1,000 pages of coursework and dynamic visuals, involving extensive travel and collaboration with 30+ winery members to present terroir culture on a whole new level. The agency also recruited top global educators throughout the U.S., United Kingdom, Mexico, Canada and Japan. The Terroir Workshop by GPE has doubled in size and expanded to five countries since its launch in Spring 2023. Working with GPE member wineries, G+V is committed to enriching a global conversation through an expansive definition of terroir that encompasses history, science, geography, language and people.

RIAS BAIXAS: ROAD SHOW TOUR 2023

Gregory +Vine has been the US agency of record for D.O. Rías Baixas for a decade. Our goal has been to elevate Albariño wines of Rías Baixas by reputation and sales to the ranks of world-class white wines. Since 2015, Rías Baixas has far outperformed other premium wines, reaching a record 14% growth (by value) in 2022, comparable only to export wine leader, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

Our 2023/2024 campaign celebrates the origins of Albariño through an integrated PR focus on winery events, direct-to-consumer sales promotion and trade education to reinforce current releases and emerging sur lías, añada and espumoso styles. In fall 2023, 17 wineries traveled to Miami and DC (the first winemaker tour since 2018), and a record 23 wineries are scheduled for the West Coast tour in June 2024. To honor a decade of partnership, G+V re-imagined the illustrated map of Rías Baixas in art, wine and history, drawing praise for creativity in experiential, POS and digital work.

Gregory +Vine has been the US agency of record for New Zealand-based Giesen 0% since 2022. The G+V team has helped solidify Giesen 0% as the premium market leader for NAwines — and the fastest growing 0% brand — through a dynamic PR campaign to educate and inform sober-curious audiences. G+V has supported the launch of four new Giesen 0% wines since spring 2022, including the highly anticipated Sparkling Brut 0%, which debuted fall 2023.

The December 2023/Dry Jan 2024 program resulted in a 200% increase in editorial mentions over the previous year (source: Meltwater audit). G+V recruited celebrated Dry Jan author Hilary Sheinbaum and Mixologist Pam Wiznitzer to support earned PR efforts, resulting in 2.2 billion impressions in just 45 days. Additional tactics included a three-city media tour with Winemaker Duncan Shouler; a national wellness survey; influencer engagement and a dedicated sampling campaign. The 2024 Dry Jan campaign was a great example of agency collaboration with the Giesen 0% team in New Zealand and the US to exceed year-over-year benchmarks.

VINS DU LANGUEDOC: TASTE WITH US

Sunny, warm and welcoming, Languedoc is characterized by a diversity of terroir from more than 20 appellations with a wide array of red, white, rosé and sparkling choices; a tremendous quality-to-value proposition; and a youthful energy defined by up-and-coming winemakers working an astonishing one-third of France’s organic acreage. Much of this is new to the U.S. market: our goal is to reinforce positive perceptions and grow the region’s business footprint as the French wine region to watch.

As the US Agency of record for Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins du Languedoc (CIVL) since 2022, G+V is charged with driving image and market share for growers, winemakers and négociants. Programs include a trade education campaign that launched at SOMMCon 2023 with stops in Boston, NYC, DC and Chicago in partnership with energetic speakers who attracted full-house crowds. The region has reported a 17% increase in U.S. export growth by value, a truly exciting outcome — and all the inspiration we need for another campaign year!

Driven from their childhood home in Lebanon by the trauma of war, Daniel and Georges Daou have realized an American dream on DAOU Mountain in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. DAOU Family Estates has become one of the fastest-growing fine wine brands in the U.S. and beyond.
