HOW TO APPLY FOR AREA COLLEGE CONCURRENT
ENROLLMENT
Updated: December 2, 2024
Concurrent enrollment gives high school students the opportunity to earn college credit while enrolled in high school. It is available at private and public Oklahoma colleges.
Note: Concurrent enrollment affects both your high school AND college transcripts.
STEPS TO APPLY & ENROLL IN AREA COLLEGE CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT
Step 1: Apply.
Find applications on the college’s concurrent enrollment page. Do not use your Epic student email when applying. Some colleges have separate concurrent enrollment applications. List Epic Charter Schools as your high school, not homeschool.
Step 2: Submit Your Documents.
Requirements vary by school. Many want transcripts sent from Parchment. Create a learner account if you have not already.
Step 3: Get a Dual Enrollment Form.
Step 4: Give your College Schedule to Your Teacher.
Usually found on the college’s concurrent enrollment website. Some colleges use portals. Fill out the form, sign it yourself, have your guardian sign it, and then email it to your Graduation Support Specialist (GSS). Only a GSS can provide the final signature. Retrieve your schedule from your college portal. Your teacher must submit it to your GSS. This ensures the class is on your Epic schedule for end-of-semester grading.
The Learning Fund is available to help with some of the costs associated with concurrent classes. Learn more below
Note: The Learning Fund may not cover the full cost of concurrent enrollment. Any remaining balance is the family’s responsibility.
