$15,000-25,000

In honor of the 90th anniversary of the Cartier Santos Dumont model first conceived in 1904 at the request legendary aviator and friend of Louis Cartier, Mr. Alberto Santos-Dumont, the Maison celebrated with very elegant and ultra-thin Santos Dumont with salmon dial, blued steel Breguet hands, and platinum case. Limited to only 90 examples, the manual-winding timepiece is incredibly
thin measuring less than a total thickness of 4.5 mm., making the modest sized watch very comfortable and conforming to the wrist.
Originally, Mr. Santos-Dumont requested a wristwatch from Louis Cartier as a time-telling device would be much easier to read on his wrist rather than taking out a pocket watch from his jacket while navigating a plane. The Santos remains as Cartier oldest watch design and is one of their most popular watches that is still being manufactured today.

Movement: Automatic
Dial: Champagne
Case: 37.5 mm. wide
With: 18k gold and stainless steel Patek Philippe bracelet and deployant clasp, overall length approximately 190 mm.
$15,000-25,000
Consigned by the family of the original owner, the present timepiece is a keen opportunity to acquire a lesser-known, and uncommon configuration of the storied Nautilus model. In fact, the movements of the early 3800 models, such as in the present lot, have a gold rotor without the famous Calatrava cross engraving which is unusual and unexpected to see, even for the astute collector of Patek Philippe watches.
Reference 3800
Reference 3800 represents the mid-size iteration of the iconic Nautilus model. Released in 1981 to entice collectors who deemed the 42 millimeter size of the original Nautilus as excessive, the watch amazingly remained in production until 2006, during which the movement presented several evolutions.
Many early models feature caliber 335 SC without the quick set date feature through the crown. Such development was introduced in all 3800 models in 1987 while keeping the same caliber 335 SC. In 1992, a third generation was introduced featuring caliber 330 134, and finally caliber 330 194 was employed for the pieces made from 1997 to 2006. LEARN MORE

An undoubted treat for collectors, this discontinued reference 5711/1R-001 is part of the most coveted timepieces of Patek Philippe’s contemporary production. Launched at Baselworld in 2015, it was the first Nautilus to be crafted in rose gold with matching rose gold bracelet. The dial, a sumptuous chocolate brown, was also a first for the reference, and has since remained a popular pairing for Patek Philippe.
Reference 5711/1R
Referencing the original Gerald Genta designed 'Jumbo' reference 3700/1A of 1976, the 5711/1R draws striking similarities in design to the original models but also offered a modern update with a new case size which is 1mm. larger than its predecessor and made in
three-parts rather than the two-part cases of the original Nautlius, it also features a sapphire display back revealing the caliber 26330 SC movement with a sweep centre seconds mechanism with hacking feature in addition to the date function. In fact reference 5711 had three generations of movement caliber starting with the 315 SC from 2006 to 2007, which was quickly followed by caliber 324 SC from 2007 to 2019 and finally caliber 26-330 SC which introduced a hacking seconds feature to the model and was in use until its discontinuation in 2021. The rose gold bracelet model quickly focused the attention of Patek Philippe collectors, it is highly sought after and considered as a must-have within contemporary collections.

$20,000-30,000
Launched in 2011, the Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire embodies several of the firm’s horological achievements, notably the time display with a jumping seconds hand showing 1/6ths of a second increments. The true genius of this watch however lies within the Dual-Wing movement concept, featuring two independent power supplies: one entirely dedicated to creating a perfect timing foundation regulated by escapement and balance, the other solely for the display of time, hour, minute and seconds hands, as well as date and the age of the moon for the Northern and Southern hemispheres. Both are synchronized through the jumping seconds hand mechanism driven by the escapement.
The new Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 381 consists of 369 parts and is without a doubt a true masterpiece of micromechanics. Associated with the 'Dual-Wing' concept and the jumping stop seconds it ensures accuracy to the nearest 1/6ths second when setting the timepiece. In addition, the mechanism is equipped with a zeroreset function which simplifies the synchronization of the watch with a time signal. When the crown is pulled, the seconds hand automatically jumps to the 12 o'clock or zero position.

Launched in 2017, reference 6006 is the successor to the unusual and quirky reference 5000, a timepiece rumored to have been intended for an exclusive limited edition with Ferrari that never happened.
Featuring a larger 39 mm. case, the timepiece now includes a pointer date, adding a new layer of depth and 'sportiness' to the timepiece. The watch also has 3 circular tracks, skeletonized and painted white hands, and a subsidiary seconds register at 4 o'clock, making it very distinct and non-traditional for the Calatrava family and storied brand.
F.P. JOURNE. AN EXCLUSIVE, RARE AND ATTRACTIVE PLATINUM AUTOMATIC ANNUAL CALENDAR WRISTWATCH WITH BLACK DIAL AND RETROGRADE DATE

Case: 38 mm. diam.
With: Platinum F.P. Journe buckle, Certificate of Origin, polishing cloth, product literature, presentation box and outer packaging
Remark: Black Label Collection
$150,000-300,000
The present Octa Calendrier belongs to the ultra exclusive Black Label collection. The Black Label Collection version of any F.P. Journe model is always the most prized and difficult to obtain. As production is extremely limited, Mr. Journe only offers the Black Label Collection pieces to existing F.P. Journe watch owners. Encased in platinum with a black lacquered dial, each Black Label watch is personally checked by F.P. Journe before being allocated to a client. These timepieces were only available through F.P. Journe boutiques and each boutique received only between 2 and 12 Black Label Edition timekeepers each year (2 per model per year).
Octa Calendrier
The Octa Calendrier was François-Paul Journe’s first annual calendar wristwatch and the third complication to be integrated into the Octa automatic calibre series. The integration of an annual retrograde calendar while maintaining the dimensions of the movement was another significant horological achievement. As was the system whereby all the indications are set via the crown, without the need for extra pushers on the case band. The instantaneously advancing day and month display is self-adjusting for months with 28, 30 and 31 days, only requiring manual adjustment at the end of February only during the non-leap years. With its unique date disc with retrograde indication and a power reserve of 120 hours, there was nothing quite like the Octa Calendrier when it first appeared on the market. LEARN MORE

The F.P. Journe 'Chronographe Monopoussior' was inspired by the timepiece made by F.P. Journe for Only Watch 2017 but with an evolved new movement caliber. The model also features a very large date function.. The ceramic tachymeter bezel insert with new typographic numerals pay homage to the 2017 only watch timepiece.
The LineSport Chronographe Monopoussoir was available in four versions, two in grade 5 titanium with aluminum alloy movements, one in 18k pink gold with 18k pink gold movement and one in
platinum with 18k pink gold movement. Made entirely in-house, the superb finishing of the calibre 1518 movement can be admired through the transparent sapphire back. The movement, with 80-hour power reserve, is called a ‘single-button split-seconds chronograph’ movement or ‘monopoussoir’ because the start, stop and reset are all controlled by the single pusher at two o’clock, while the pusher at four controls the split-seconds. In the F.P. Journe manufacture, a single watchmaker is responsible for the complete making and assembly of each individual watch, unique in the watchmaking industry.

The Greubel Forsey GMT Tourbillon Reference GF05 was the first wristwatch in the world to feature a world time, dual time, and a 25° inclined 24-second tourbillon within a single timepiece. Given its complexity and multiple patents, it was one of the first watches from the brand to truly put them 'on the map', and it may, in fact, be the only timepiece to combine these specific complications. With production beginning in 2011, only 100 examples of Reference GF05 were manufactured over its 11-year run.
Featuring the brand's distinct asymmetrical case with two lower protrusions, these elements accentuate the remarkable 24-second tourbillon, which is tilted at 25° to offer greater resistance to gravitational forces. The left-side protrusion houses a superb threedimensional rotating world time display, with a second display on the reverse to account for daylight saving time or solar time. The watch also includes a 12-hour dual time display and a power reserve indicator with a maximum of 72 hours. This stately timepiece offers an excellent opportunity to acquire an important watch from a highly respected independent manufacturer. LEARN

JAEGER-LECOULTRE. A RARE AND HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE PLATINUM
LIMITED EDITION SEMI-SKELETONIZED SPHERICAL TOURBILLON WRISTWATCH WITH 24 HOUR DISPLAY AND POWER RESERVE

When Jaeger-LeCoultre decided to re-interprete their mythical Reverso model from 1931 to celebrate its 80th anniversary, the result was beyond expectations. Sculpted in platinum, the legendary Art Deco case has been enlarged to house the Gyrotourbillon 2. Composed of 371 parts and 58 jewels, the present model goes beyond limits already achieved with the 1st edition of the Gyrotourbillon 1 developed by genius watchmaker Eric Coudray. While the Gyrotourbillon 1 is beating at 21'600 alternances per hour, the present Gyrotourbillon 2 is impressively calibrated for 28'800 alternances per hour.
The Gyrotourbillon 2 incorporates several technical advances including beating at 28,800 alternances per hour instead of the 21,600 beats of the Gyrotourbillon 1. However, the chief feature is the spherical tourbillon itself, the rotation of which is extremely unusual. The tourbillon is quite spectacular to watch in action and is so precise that it enabled Jaeger-LeCoultre to win a prize the first official timing competition of the 21st century. The carriage itself is machined from a single block of titanium, in addition to the tourbillon revolving around the axis of its titanium carriage, it also rotates around a second axis, inclined at a 20° angle. The combined effect of these two rotations (respectively 30 and 15 seconds per revolution) frees the watch from the effects of gravity and also results in it being extremely lightweight and of very high precision.

In 2011, De Bethune won the 'Aiguille d’Or', the highest distinction awarded by the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prize), for its DB28 model. The present timepiece is numbered '01' out of 50 examples, in which the Maison offered two different limited editions of the DB28 to celebrate their incredible achievement.
This series features striking ‘claw’-shaped hour indexes and a transparent caseback. The other series features a solid back and traditional round hour indexes, making the present version more
desirable. Symbolic of the Aiguille d’Or, this edition includes a gold power reserve hand visible through the display caseback. With a stunning overall black-and-white aesthetic, this extremely lightweight DB28 - crafted from titanium and anthracite zirconium - stays true to the model’s DNA. A notable feature is the ‘bestperformance zone indication’ or torque indicator, situated between 2 and 3 o’clock on the dial. Displaying the optimum energy supplied by the two auto-compensating barrels, the pointer moves between a sapphire (indicating optimal torque) and a ruby (indicating minimal torque).

F.P. JOURNE. AN IMPORTANT PLATINUM LIMITED EDITION
AUTOMATIC FLYBACK CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH DATE SIGNED F.P. JOURNE, OCTA CHRONOGRAPHE RUTHENIUM MODEL, NO. 54/99-02C, CIRCA 2008

With: Platinum F.P. Journe buckle, Certificate of Guarantee dated 18 September 2008
Remark: Limited edition of 99 pieces
$100,000-200,000
This limited edition Ruthenium Octa Calendrier is number 54 of only 99 pieces made between 2001 and 2003. This special series in platinum was produced at the end of the period when F.P. Journe was using brass movements. From 2004 onwards, Journe’s movements have famously been made from 18k gold. With the tremendous and continually growing interest in François-Paul Journe’s work, collectors have focused their attention on the early production and pre-production watches with brass movements. Consequently these watches which are an important part of F.P. Journe history have become extremely sought after and very difficult to obtain.
Octa Chronographe
The Octa Chronographe is one of the rarest and most intriguing of François-Paul Journe’s early series wristwatches with only 313 examples ever made across all production. The present watch as part of the ‘Ruthenium Collection’ is particularly desirable as part of the early ‘brass movement’ era watches and is hardly ever seen at auction. Technically brilliant, the Octa Chronographe uses the same caliber 1300 as other Octa models but is fitted with an integrated stopwatch mechanism on the dial plate. This allowed the Chronographe to be the same height as other Octa models, a quite remarkable achievement. The Octa Chronographe was replaced by the ‘Centigraphe’ in 2008.

Reference 16808
Launched in 1979 along with its sister reference 16800 in stainless steel, these watches represent a transitional period for Rolex and were the first Submariners to covet a sapphire crystal and quick-set date. Reference 16808 featured a now-collectible 'nipple' dial while its stainless steel sister reference had lume applied directly to the dial. The model was manufactured until approximately 1987.

DAYTONA 'PORCELAIN' 'FLOATING' COSMOGRAPH DIAL REF. 16528
ROLEX. A VERY RARE 18K GOLD AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH 'PORCELAIN' 'FLOATING' COSMOGRAPH DIAL AND BRACELET

Movement: Automatic Dial: 'Porcelain' 'Floating' Cosmograph Case: 40 mm. diam.
With: 18k gold Rolex Oyster bracelet and deployant clasp, overall length approximately 185 mm., later product literature and presentation box
$70,000-120,000
The present reference 16528 is from the R-series, featuring a socalled 'porcelain' dial, produced in an exceedingly small number only. The dials were in fact layered with a coating resembling porcelain, signatures and scales printed on top, giving it an almost floating appearance. The intention behind this version was to render it a more appealing look. Due to high production cost, manufacture of these dials was soon ceased, rendering the ref. 16528 'R' models much sought after collectors watches.
Another difference is the 'floating Cosmograph' which shows the designation 'Cosmograph' with a marked distance from the previous 'Officially Certified' lines. In later dial versions the designation Cosmograph is found immediately below the other descriptive lines. In conjunction with its floating dial, this early version reference 16528 boasts the correct version of the tachymetre scale calibrated to 200 units and not the 400 units found in subsequent versions.
This exceptional watch represents the rare opportunity for collectors to acquire one of the exceedingly rare examples of the legendary reference 16528 from the R-series.

$35,000-50,000
Launched in 1985 and discontinued in 2007, the reference 3940 has always been a much-loved watch by collectors and is a significant reference in the modern history of Patek Philippe. The 3940’s reputation is further enhanced by the fact that the then head of the company, Philippe Stern, chose to wear the model as his everyday watch.
Offered in very good overall condition, the present timepiece is furthermore accompanied by the undated Certificate of Origin, sales tag, product literature, leather folder, presentation box and outer packaging.
Reference 3940
The Reference 3940 and its sister reference (the Ref. 3970 perpetual calendar chronograph) were launched in the mid-1980s, at a time when few complicated wristwatches were available and the mechanical watch renaissance wasn’t entirely underway.
The watch was incredibly slim at 9 mm., thanks to the Cal. 240-Q movement with a 22k gold micro-rotor. The design of the dials, in line with many Patek Philippe references, has evolved over the 20 years of production resulting in three clearly defined series and some rare variations.
COMPLETE CALENDAR
AUDEMARS PIGUET. A HIGHLY IMPORTANT AND EXTREMELY RARE 18K GOLD COMPLETE CALENDAR WRISTWATCH WITH MOON PHASES AND BREGUET NUMERALS
REGISTERED BY AUDEMARS PIGUET, MOVEMENT, CASE, AND BACK OF DIAL NO. 37'891, MANUFACTURED IN 1927

Dial: Silvered
Case: 25.5 mm. wide., 37 mm. overall length
With: Audemars Piguet digital Extract from the Archives
Remark: Approximately 35 pieces made in 'pale' yellow gold
$50,000-100,000
The present Audemars Piguet timepiece is an extremely early and coveted wristwatch featuring a complete calendar with moon phases and running seconds. Confirmed in the registers by Audemars Piguet, the watch was manufactured in 1927 and was sold years later.
This important wristwatch has a well-preserved 18k 'pale' yellow gold rectangular case in which the gold has developed an attractive purple/red patina over the near-century of safekeeping. The case has a hinged back that is beautifully inscribed reading 'My dearest, remember me always, your loving Aline. December 2nd 1942'. The

case is large for the period and measures 25.5 by 37 millimeters, a wonderful size for the taste of contemporary collectors.
Like many early watches from Audemars Piguet, the same, single serial number is produced on the movement, inside caseback, and back of the dial. In this case it is number '37891'.
described in the registers as GHSM 15/12 (HSM for hours, seconds, minutes, 15 mm. x 12 mm).
Like some of the other extremely rare and early calendar wristwatches from Audemars Piguet, the watch has a silvered dial with a symmetrical calendar configuration for the day, date, month, and moon phases with running seconds. Its attractiveness is further enhanced by the handmade and applied Breguet numerals and blued skeleton diamond hands. The text and the outer track have been executed in black enamel, exemplifying the tedious and expensive small manufacturing details that Audemars Piguet undertook in their early watches.
These early calendar wristwatches from Audemars Piguet represent some of the most important, collectible, and rare timepieces from the Maison, and this lot is an incredible opportunity for the astute collector to own a watch that was last publicly sold in 2001.
Audemars Piguet’s earliest calendar wristwatches are legendary rarities with most examples now in either museums or private collections. They almost never appear at auction or on the open market. The first Audemars Piguet calendar wristwatches, of which the present watch is one, were fitted with the caliber 10GHSM movement. These first phase so-called ‘Pre-Model’ watches are appreciated as some of the rarest and most important models ever made by Audemars Piguet.
Although a very approximate figure, it is thought that around 48 wristwatches sharing the characteristics of the present watch were made – rectangular-shaped case, triple calendar, and phases and age of the moon (complete calendar). Today, only around 10 examples are known publicly but with diverse dial designs and hand types. The present watch is undoubtedly one of the most attractive of the known examples, featuring applied Breguet numerals and ‘cathedrale’ (sometimes called ‘Old English’) hands. The majority of ‘Pre-Model’ calendar wristwatches were cased in white gold, the present watch is one of the yellow gold examples that were made in much fewer numbers.
Following the sale of the very first AP calendar wristwatch to Gübelin in 1924 which was fitted with a caliber 10HPVM movement, the company decided that all their calendar wristwatches would use the caliber 10GHSM. In total, 698 movements were produced from 1924 to 1931, 108 of those were fitted with calendar mechanisms.
According to Audemars Piguet’s archives, of the 108 calendar watches produced, 2 were cased in platinum, 2 in bi-color platinum and gold, and another 35 in pale yellow, sometimes called 'green gold' by AP, and 62 watches cased in white gold.

With: Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1941 and its subsequent sale on 26 July 1941
Remark: Approx. 40 pieces made in yellow gold
$30,000-50,000
Launched in 1938, the Patek Philippe reference 591 is one of the more obscure, unfamiliar, yet beautiful chronograph wristwatches from the storied Maison. Manufactured for only nine years, it is believed that approximately 100 examples of these 'wartime' chronographs were made: 60 in pink gold and 40 in yellow gold, such as the present lot.
Reference 591 was created by Patek Philippe as a larger-sized alternative to the more common references 130 and 533.
Nicknamed the 'Fagiolino' or 'small green bean' in Italian, the lugs mimic the shape of the chronograph pushers and are both beautiful and elegant in profile, allowing the watch to appear larger than its 34 mm case size. The cases were made by Wenger (Geneva Key 1) and feature snap-on casebacks.

With: Later added 18k gold Rolex mesh bracelet and deployant clasp, overall length approximately 170 mm., Rolex service invoices and receipts dated 2004 and 2006
$100,000-200,000
The present 18k gold Rolex Daytona reference 6265 features a collector favored matte black dial that is contrasted by three striking champagne registers. Further enhancing this watch is the very rare 18k gold Rolex mesh bracelet which beautifully melds elegance and sportiness.
Another noteworthy feature is the four-digit number (in this instance 7284) that is engraved on the movement plate in front of the caliber number. This number corresponds to the number given for the C.O.S.C. test of the movement at the Geneva Observatory, a characteristic exclusively found on the cal. 727 movements in gold cased references 6263 and 6265 from the 1970s and 1980s.
Reference 6265
Launched in the 1970s, the reference 6265 is the sister reference of the 6263. Inheriting attributes of reference 6240, the standard version chronograph bears the 'Oyster' designation on the upper-half of its dial and is built with screw-down pushers, a screw back and screw-down crown. Manufactured over a period of approximately 17 years, gold examples of the reference were produced in small volume, estimated at approximately 10% of the overall production and were made in 14K as well as 18K gold. The 6265 chronograph was made with a slightly wider case, giving the wristwatch a more athletic feel than earlier references. Produced from 1971 right up to 1988, it represents the last of the manualwinding Daytona models.

The present Nautilus is an extremely well preserved and superb example of the classic reference 3700/011 'Jumbo'. Offered with its Certificate of Origin, product literature, leather folder, presentation box and outer packaging - this beautiful stainless steel Jumbo Nautilus is one of the most desirable and collectible of the 3700 references.
According to research, it is thought that less than 300 examples of the model and its 'sister' reference 3700/1 in gold have appeared in public to date.
Reference 3700
The case patent design of the first Nautilus, reference 3700/1, was registered on 23 April 1976. It comprises two parts, the main body and the bezel, at each side is an 'ear' which couples with a
corresponding flange, the two parts are secured by lateral screws. A rubber seal sits between the bezel and case body and is thus compressed when subject to water pressure forming a perfect watertight seal. From 1976 until 1980, the cases were made for Patek Philippe by Favre-Perret SA, Le Crêt du Locle.
In 1980, Patek Philippe launched the manufacture of cases and bracelets in their Ateliers Réunis workshops and the Nautilus changed its reference number to the new ref. 3700/11, such as the present example.
Another of the many attractions of the Nautilus Ref. 3700/11 for the watch aficionado is movement, generally agreed to be one of the greatest watch calibers – the 28-255. Based on the original Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 920 of 1967 it is regarded as one of the most beautiful and refined automatic movements ever produced.
BETA-21 'TEXANO NO. '001'
ROLEX. A HISTORICALLY IMPORTANT AND HEAVY 18K GOLD QUARTZ TONNEAU-SHAPED WRISTWATCH WITH SWEEP CENTRE SECONDS, DATE AND BRACELET
SIGNED ROLEX, QUARTZ, REF. 5100, MOVEMENT NO. 0000'6989, CASE NO. 001, CIRCA 1970
Movement: Quartz
Dial: Champagne
Case: 39 mm. wide
With: 18k gold integrated Rolex bracelet and deployant clasp, overall length approximately 190 mm.

$25,000-50,000
Consigned by the family of the original owner, this incredible and rare Rolex Beta-21 'Texano' model is numbered 001, signifying that is was the first production model from the fabled line of early quartz watches.
Reference 5100
Rolex reference 5100 is a historic milestone in the development of the quartz watch. It was launched on the 5th of June, 1970, and Rolex had greatly underestimated the demand for the model. The initial pilot series production was completely sold out prior to delivery.
Reference 5100 was the first Rolex to have a sapphire crystal and a seconds hand being run by a pallet wheel to give a true 'sweep'
center seconds unlike modern quartz movements. It was also a revolutionary new case design being more angular in its shape than the standard Oyster case.
Powered by the Beta-21 movement, a 13-jewel, 8khz quartz module first seen in prototype form in 1967, a year later in 1968, it was agreed by 20 Swiss watch houses to produce 6,000 of these movements. In 1969, a few hundred of the Beta-21 watches were released at Basel World. The revolutionary caliber was accurate to 5-seconds per month, a far superior accuracy of timing than any mechanical watch at the time. The design for the Beta-21 watch was a triumph and very characteristic of the era - a generally thick, angular, even chunky case (partly out of necessity as the first generation of quartz movements were comparatively large).
NAUTILUS REF. 3700/1
PATEK PHILIPPE. AN ICONIC AND EARLY STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC WRISTWATCH WITH DATE AND BRACELET SIGNED PATEK PHILIPPE, NAUTILUS MODEL, REF. 3700/1, MOVEMENT NO. 1'305'300, CASE NO. 533'973, MANUFACTURED IN 1976

$80,000-160,000
Confirmed by the Extract from the Archives, the present Nautilus reference 3700/1 was manufactured during the first year of production in 1976. It features an early 'Type 2' dial distinguished by its 'sigma swiss sigma' text, accented 'E', distinct semi-circles within the 'Ps', and non-symmetrical 'K'.
Reference 3700
Introduced in 1976, the Patek Philippe Nautilus reference 3700 was inspired by portholes found on maritime vehicles. It was the first steel timepiece from Patek Philippe to be marketed as a premier, luxury watch. The original design, as seen in the present lot utilizes a monobloc case, replicating the way portholes are opened on vessels. It is opened through hidden screws found in the 'ears' of the
watch. Unscrewing them unlocks the bezel from the case, a tasteful Gerald Genta design incorporating 'form following function'.
From 1976 to 1980, Patek Philippe Nautilus cases were made by Favre-Perret SA, Le Cret du Locle, a top manufacturer that succeeded in the strenuous task of constructing and polishing the highly ornate Nautilus cases and bracelets. Oceanic elements can be seen in the design language of the timepiece such as the utilization of an ocean blue dial with horizontal grooves, meant to evoke the teak decks found on yachts. The timepiece also has an integrated steel bracelet that seamlessly melds with the case, allowing for an incredibly slim and comfortable fit on the wrist.

Examples of the original Royal Oak ‘C Series’ are increasingly hard to obtain as one of the great classic ‘must-have’ watches for the serious collector. A ‘C Series’ with colour-change ‘tropical’ dial such as the present watch is an extreme rarity and a highlight for those seeking important specimens of iconic watch models.
Reference 5402
Unveiled at Baselworld in 1972, Audemars Piguet astonished the world by creating the first stainless steel wristwatch marketed as a luxury timepiece. Designed by the legendary Gerald Genta, the
inspiration behind the Royal Oak derived from the early diver’s helmets in which the design can be easily recognized in the octagonal bezel. Genta’s ethos closely shadowed 'form follows function' in which this was utilized in the fixed bolts of the bezel that were screwed in from the back, creating a watertight seal. Another key feature of reference 5402 was the integrated steel bracelet, adding to the robust nature of the timepiece designed for everyday wear. The dial features a black Grande Tapisserie guilloché pattern that has been intricately cut by hand, adding to the legibility and industrial aura of the watch.

$250,000-550,000
The Patek Philippe Nautilus is perhaps the most desired model of all the company’s production wristwatches, indeed it is one of the ultimate luxury status symbols in the world. Every Nautilus reference is incredibly prized, however, even in the rarefied realm of the Nautilus family there are the superstars, ultra-special precious metal and gem-set pieces that were never intended for the public gaze and never included in any catalogue. Offered privately and only by invitation to a handful of Patek Philippe’s most exalted and loyal clientele, these Nautilus models are beyond desirable, inhabiting the stratosphere of luxury watchmaking.
The bezel is set with 32 superbly matched baguette diamonds weighing a total of 3.79 carats on the bezel and with 12 further baguette diamonds as hour markers on the dial. Being platinum, it
is also set with a single tiny diamond between the lugs at 6 o’clock as is Patek Philippe’s tradition. The overall combination of platinum case and bracelet coupled with a black dial and diamonds is simply breathtaking.
Patek Philippe very discreetly began producing platinum cased reference 5711s in 2012. The specific reference 5711-1P was given to this model and it sported the same dial as the stainless steel version. Then in the mid-2010’s, an exceedingly small series of models were made in platinum with baguette gem-set bezels and white dials. It is thought that only a handful of each have been made of these references: 5711-113P for emeralds; 5711-112P for rubies; 5711-111P for sapphires and 5711-110P for diamonds.

This horological masterpiece was created as the final version of Greubel Forsey's celebrated first invention, the ‘Double Tourbillon 30° Contemporaine’, presented in 2004. A question which has always been asked by connoisseurs of fine watchmaking is, does a tourbillon, for all its beauty and animation, genuinely increase the accuracy of a watch? The Double Tourbillon 30° Technique successfully answered this question in 2011 when it won a further award - the ‘Concours International de
Chronométrie’ with an incredible score of 915 points out of 1000, the highest in the competition to date.
Made in a limited edition of only 11 examples each in red gold and platinum, this Double Tourbillon 30° Edition Historique is even more impressive and special as the movement has two engraved gold plates featuring Robert Greubel's and Stephen Forsey's signatures. Furthermore, the numbered edition plate found on the standard production models in the front left register has been replaced to simply say 'DT 30°'.

Some are believed to allow for communication with the spirits of ancestors, or to be the physical manifestation of ancient rituals. Respecting the importance and cultural significance of these masks to their respective peoples, Vacheron Constantin’s craftsmen took great care not to distort their original character and identity. Using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technologies, the poetic sensibilities of the masks are accurately captured with subtle contrasts, accentuating the delicacy of the finishing.

Mask of Japan – a Ritual Buddha Mask from the People of Japan at end of the Edo Period (second half of 19th century)
Featuring an 18k yellow gold case with a purple/pink sapphire dial and blue disk text, the Ritual Buddha Mask at the center emanates gentleness and serenity with its moonlike face, lowered eyes, and full cheeks framed with long curved, stylized ears. The nose and mouth are realistically drawn. The intense blue of the chignon coiffure, comprising a multitude of small, embossed curls sculpted in wood, contrasts with the gilded face.
The mask appears to represent Amida Nyorai, which means ‘infinite light’ or ‘infinite life’; he is one of the five great Buddhas of wisdom who guide believers to a second life after death. The profile of this particular figure, dating from the 19th century, brings to mind the face of the famous great Buddha statue in the Kamakura sanctuary in Japan. The creation of such a ritual piece was generally entrusted to Buddhist image-makers rather than mask-makers.

Known as pibibuze or ‘man’, these four different masks would have been ordered at the birth of a boy and embody a spirit of nature that would accompany him during various rites of passage throughout his life. Most often blind, these masks were probably not intended to be worn on the face of a dancer, but rather to be displayed in houses, consecrated to the cult or held during ceremonies.

Featuring beautiful gemstones, the bezel and dial consist of 134 baguette-cut multicolored sapphires (≈6.1 carats). Furthermore, the brand has integrated 33 pink sapphire in the clasp (≈0.76 carats).
Beyond its beauty, the wristwatch is a horological wonder consisting of 444-parts that work together to power the double-axis flying tourbillon making one revolution every minute. The watch also has
a vertical rotating central platform, making one revolution every 10 Minutes. Part of this system is the mother of pearl dial that rotates, creating another layer of allurement. $250,000-450,000
The Rolex Daytona 'Rainbow' is a contemporary icon and is one of the most sought-after modern Daytona models. Due to Rolex’s painstaking standards of stone matching and finishing, only a handful are manufactured each year and its demand vastly exceeds the supply, consequently making it virtually impossible to obtain.
The case is enhanced with white diamonds on the lugs and crown guards, and the uniformity of the gems in respect to their color and shape is quite exceptional. In fact, Rolex takes extreme care in ensuring that all the stones on each individual watch are of the
same shade. This sorting process is carried out by hand and by machines that are usually only found in gemological laboratories. The result is quite remarkable and is what imbues these watches with an arresting quality that is hard to define.
First introduced in 2012, the Daytona Rainbow gained widespread recognition as it completely broke away from the traditional Rolex standard model watches. The first examples were in yellow gold, followed by white gold and in 2018 the ‘Everose’ pink gold, such as the present watch.

With: Multi-color enamel and yellow gold integrated Bulgari expandable bracelet, overall length approximately 445 mm., Extract from the Archives confirming manufacture of the present watch in 1970, presentation box
$70,000-100,000
As the emblem of the Roman jewelry house Bulgari, the serpents are anchored in the history of humanity, especially in ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman mythologies; they are a recurrent figure in jewelry and symbols of eternal renewal, wisdom, vitality and seduction.
Thanks to the advent of the Tubogas band design, Bulgari was able to replicate the exotic fluidity of the serpent on the wrists of their most exclusive clients. By the 1960's, celebrities and upper echelon were spotted donning the serpent at the most lavish events. Elizabeth Taylor became a prestigious muse for Bulgari, wearing a magnificent gold, diamond, and emerald 'Serpenti' bracelet watch in the film Cleopatra in 1962.
The present timepiece is decadently dressed with green, red, black and white enamel 'scaglie' links that articulate against the yellow gold tubogas ground. The serpent is enhanced with cabochon emerald eyes and a playful forked tongue. Further confirmed by the Extract from the Archives from Vacheron Constantin, it is an exceptionally early example of the iconic Bulgari Serpenti dating to 1970.
For a drawing of a similar enamel Serpenti design circa 1967 from the Bulgari Heritage Collection, see Bulgari: Serpenti Collection by Marion Fasel.

According to the Archives of Piaget, the present timepiece was manufactured in 1975.
Propelled by the incredible creative momentum of the 1970s, Piaget elevated hard stones to the status of precious gems. The brand quickly recognized the value of using these materials and mastered the necessary production techniques. Color became the brand's hallmark: jade, coral, lapis lazuli, tiger's eye, and turquoise. Over 30 different stones adorned a stunning array of exceptional models, with their interaction with light, inclusions, and subtle nuances giving each creation a unique character. Piaget crafted astonishing graphic effects by combining various hard stones.
Piaget epitomizes daring creativity - a quality that has continued to permeate through the Maison since its beginnings in 1874. From his first workshop in La Côte-aux-Fées, Georges-Edouard Piaget devoted himself to crafting high-precision movements in a feat that formed the very foundations of their pioneering name. In the late 1950s, Piaget unveiled the ultra-thin movements that would later become the Maison’s trademark. As a true innovator of the watch and jewellery world, Piaget strongly believed in creativity and artistic values.

This exceptional timepiece is certainly one of the most impressive minute repeating wristwatches of Jaeger LeCoultre’s 21st century production. Superb bold styling combined with a resonant and clear repeating sound has made this model one of the most sought after of Jaeger’s complicated watches, the pitch and tone of the chimes was developed in collaboration with the famous French orchestra and opera conductor Georges Pretre. The gongs emit a sound of 55 decibels from a distance of two feet. The dial displays the mechanical functions through three openworked segments including both power reserve and spring barrel torque indications.
Amongst all the complications which can be found in wristwatches, minute repeaters are most probably the rarest and most challenging to produce, only a handful of manufacturers have ever included this miniaturized wonder of mechanical engineering in their wristwatches.
The Jaeger Master Minute Repeater Antoine LeCoultre is a most desirable trophy in today’s collectors market and does not fail to impress on every level, showcasing Jaeger LeCoultre’s manufacturing know-how and tremendous watchmaking skills. This fine Minute Repeater would be an exceptional addition to any fine watch collection.

Remark: Part of Grace in Time: A Private Collection, Specially ordered dial fitted into the watch by Patek Philippe in 2010
$650,000-1,350,000
Launched in 1989 as the world's most complicated wristwatch, today, the Patek Philippe reference 3974 has become one of the most elusive and coveted timepieces from this special period of horological revival. It is believed that approximately only 160 examples of the reference were manufactured, from which only approximately 20 wristwatches were made in pink gold, such as the present lot.
Further adding to the present lot's rarity and exclusivity, it features a specially ordered slate-grey dial enhanced with Breguet numerals, as confirmed on the Extract from the Archives. The majority of the production were fitted with silvered dials and baton indexes, such as the present lot likely had, but very few owners were later allowed the option to receive a new and specially ordered dial for their watch, such as remarked on the Extract. Another notable feature
of this early reference 3974 is its case of highest quality that was supplied by none other than Jean-Pierre Hagmann of Geneva. His hallmark 'JPH' is stamped underneath the lower left lug. Later cases were made 'in-house' by Patek Philippe at Atéliers Réunis.
Jean-Pierre Hagmann
Originally trained as a jeweler, Jean-Pierre Hagmann set up his own company in 1984, specializing in the manufacture of handmade high quality watch cases. He worked for several of the world's most famous watch manufactures, notably Patek Philippe, to whom he supplied amongst others, cases for references 3974, 3979, 5016 and 5029, all models of the firm's "Grand Complication" series. Passing away at the age of 84 in 2025, Hagmann worked up until his unexpected death, manufacturing incredible cases for independent watchmaker Rexhep Rexhepi. His legacy continues on to which his cases have created their own division of collectability.
One of the most important watches ever made in series by Patek Philippe, reference 3974 was launched in 1989 to celebrate Patek Philippe's 150th anniversary, at the time not only the firm's but also the world's most complicated wristwatch. The very first movement was numbered 1'906'000.
Research has revealed that only around 160 examples of ref. 3974 were ever made, the majority in yellow gold. The cases of the early examples including the present watch were made by Jean-Pierre Hagmann and bear his hallmark. Later series were fitted with Atéliers Réunis cases.
This highly sought-after reference ceased production in 2000 and is regarded as one of the most desirable minute repeating wristwatches of the last 30 years.

F.P. Journe spent over 8 years developing the innovative movement for the Élégante collection, the caliber 1210. What makes this caliber so innovative is that should the watch not be used for 35 minutes or more, the hands stop displaying the time and are in 'standby' mode to save energy, while the microprocessor continues operating to keep track of the actual time. Upon picking up the watch and moving the visible micro-rotor at 4 o'clock, the hands automatically move to the correct time.
Originally, this collection was created for a feminine audience with smaller cases, some being adorned with diamonds. Since
then, the Maison has created a larger size for men, and this model has become one of the hardest and most in-demand F.P. Journe timepieces to acquire from the boutique.
François Paul Journe François-Paul Journe has been 'inventing' and 'making' watches for over 40 years. He draws on his historical knowledge and expertise to face the most daring horological challenges, demonstrating a timeless consistency in research and innovation with a single goal: make each timepiece as accurate as possible. Excellence and precision are the essence of an F.P. Journe watch, as well as authenticity and chronometry.
CLOCHE NO. 1/1 Ψ
CARTIER. A UNIQUE AND UNUSUAL PLATINUM BELL-SHAPED WRISTWATCH, MADE FOR 'THE MAGICAL ART OF CARTIER' THEMATICAL AUCTION IN 1996 SIGNED CARTIER, CLOCHE MODEL, CASE A112949, NO. 1/1, CIRCA 1996
Movement: Manual Dial: Silvered
Case: 25 mm. wide, 33 mm. overall length With: 18k white gold Cartier deployant clasp
Remark: Part of Grace in Time: A Private Collection, Piece unique made for 'The Magical Art of Cartier' thematical auction in 1996
$100,000-200,000
Christie’s is delighted to offer the present unique Cartier ‘Paris’ Cloche timepiece, originally created for The Magical Art of Cartier thematic auction held by Antiquorum in Geneva in 1996. This legendary sale featured some of the most extraordinary Cartier timepieces from all three Maisons - Cartier Paris, London, and New York - and included iconic watches such as the mythical Octogonale Allongée, a Cartier-signed Patek Philippe 2499, split-second chronographs, and newly created unique Cartier wristwatches made to commemorate the auction, such as the present lot.
Two unique platinum Cloche models were made for this auction. The first featured bold Roman numerals and no minute track,
similar to Cartier London watches. The second being the present lot, jovially utilized 'CARTIER PARIS' as the hour markers, since it perfectly equaled 12 characters. On the back, the watch is numbered '1/1' signifying its importance and unique nature.
The Cartier Cloche
First created in 1922 as an avant-garde alternative to the round and rectangular wristwatches of the time, the Cartier ‘Cloche’ got its name due to the bell-shape of the case, ‘Cloche’ being the French word for bell. Ingeniously, on standard production versions of this watch, the asymmetrical design of the case and the atypical dial layout whereby the XII numeral is adjacent to the crown, allows for the watch to be used as a miniature desk clock.

Remark: Part of Grace in Time: A Private Collection
$25,000-45,000
The steel reference 5212A Calatrava Weekly Calendar not only introduces an entirely new complication to Patek Philippe’s collection but in addition introduces a completely new case design and a highly unusual and unique dial.
Reference 5212A was launched in 2019 and only produced in stainless steel. It is the first and only watch with this complication to be made by Patek Philippe and sports a distinctly retro look with its ‘hand-written’ style of dial and stepped curved lugs. Intended for the modern business person, the calendar movement is calibrated to calculate the day, month, and the week according to the ISA 8601 standard. This system means that the first official week of the year starts on the Monday of the week of January 4. The weeks
are numbered in accordance with the ISO 8601 standard, which states that the first full week in any year must begin on Monday, not Sunday, and that the first full week of the year is that which contains January 4. A feature of the standard is that occasionally a year will contain 53 rather than 52 weeks, which is accounted for in the calendar mechanism and numbering scheme on the dial. The ISO 8601 business calendar was founded by the International Organization for Standardization for use mainly in the international financial sector. It is a purely numeric calendar whereby the number of the week within the year and the number of the day within the week are used in place of named months and days. This globally recognised format transcends any cultural ambiguity possible in other calendars.

Remark: Grace in Time: A Private Collection
$250,000-550,000
Extremely rare and seldom to come to market, the Patek Philippe reference 5339 was produced for a brief three years beginning in 2010. As the successor to reference 3939, the 5339 was a proper, contemporary upgrade and even more exclusive than its predecessor with a total production of less than a few dozen examples. Its design is influenced by the original reference 3520
and classic reference 3919 with its 'Clous de Paris' (hobnail) bezel with subsidiary seconds. However, the case is now 36mm (a 3mm increase in size) and presents as a 'large Calatrava', but it is far from that due to its grand complications. Found within are two of the most magnificent complications: a minute repeater and a tourbillon.
MINUTE REPEATER TOURBILLON REF. 5339R-010
Like its predecessor, reference 5339R utilizes Caliber RTO 27 PS and unlike many Patek Philippe movements, the Côtes de Genève have been concentrically finished, giving way to the flowing architecture of the movement. The elevated tourbillon bridge and repeater strikers have been perfectly black polished, aiding in contrast and beauty. Most distinctive, the minute wheel has been skeletonized with five jovial, meandering arms. The wheel is a joyous feature that is captivating to view, thanks to its rounded polishing and interior angles. The stars of the show are the tourbillon and minute repeater bringing the movement to life. The repeater has a bright, precise,
and charming chime. These world-class calibers were created in sequence and their movement numbers have interestingly been replicated at the subsidiary seconds register on the dial.
The dial may seem simplistic but at the bottom of 6 o’clock, one may notice 'Email' signifying that it is a made from enamel with applied rose gold markers. Its minimal presence is elevated by the sharp, hobnail bezel which has also been reproduced on the sapphire caseback (an additional solid gold caseback is included) to elevate the movement.

Ten years later in 2015, the model was refreshed with newer and more modern aesthetics. Upon first inspection, the dial is very minimal for such a complication, contrasting the classical three-register layout in which many traditional perpetual calendar timepieces utilize. H. Moser &
Cie has drastically simplified the display with small arrow indicating the month, along with an impossibly large date window.
On the rear, a sapphire concave caseback reveals inhouse manualwinding caliber HMC 341.503, boasting incredible finishing and an intricate leap year indicator. Additionally, the movement has 'hacking' or stop-seconds, which is seldom seen in perpetual calendars.

In 1990, Piaget launched the Aura model, exclusively set with diamonds. The model immediately became a must-have luxury watch, and was seen as a marriage between haute horology and jewelry. Three years later in 1993, Piaget began to produce various versions of the Aura model that were set with different colored gemstones, always in a limited series.
The Aura model, so named because the diamonds are like rays of light fanning out from the center of the dial onto the case and bracelet, has a dazzling effect on the wearer. The undeniable radiance and extravagance of the Aura has become known as an iconic and timeless watch, crafted of large and exceptionally highquality diamonds. Each stone on the watch is individually cut by hand to fit in its exact location in the timepiece.
This incredible timepiece is set with approximately 282 diamonds with a total weight of ~31 carats, and represents a rare opportunity for the appreciator of haute horology and high jewelry to acquire one of the most extraordinary and scarce timepieces created.
SUBMARINER 'SPIDER' DIAL REF. 5513
ROLEX. A RARE AND ATTRACTIVE STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC WRISTWATCH WITH SWEEP CENTRE SECONDS SIGNED ROLEX, SUBMARINER MODEL, REF. 5513, CASE NO. R545892, CIRCA 1987
Movement: Automatic Dial: Black 'spider'
With: Stainless steel Rolex buckle
Remark: Part of Grace in Time: A Private Collection
$6,000-12,000
Unusual and attractive, the present Rolex Submariner reference 5513 is from some of the last years of production and features a 'spider' dial. In certain lighting, the dial appears as standard but when viewed at certain angles, attractive hairline cracks as visible and create beautiful patterns, making every example unique. This effect happened in certain watches from this period as Rolex switched from matte dials to gloss dials. The then-new gloss dials had a superficial layer of lacquer in which they 'spiderwebbed' due a defect in and environmental factors. Over the years, during a Rolex service, they would replace these defected dials for a new ones, making them harder and harder to acquire today.
Reference 5513
The Rolex Submariner reference 5513 is one of the most iconic watches of all time and is also one of the longest produced models by the brand, with production beginning in 1962 and ceasing in 1989. Over the near 3 decades of production, the watch underwent changes in the dial, bezel, and case while keeping its strong design identity. The watch is distinguishable as it forgoes the date, allowing for purism with its intended purpose of aiding and assisting divers with their time underwater.

Reference 116520
Released in 2000, the Rolex Daytona reference 116520 was produced for a lengthy 16 years. It highly resembled its predecessor reference 16520 but has some significant upgrades. The brand
utilized their first in-house chronograph movement Rolex caliber 4130. It replaced the beloved Zenith-based caliber 4030, and the new movement can be quickly identified with the seconds register located at 6 o’clock opposed to 9 o'clock. Caliber 4130 was much superior than the 4030 as it had over 60% less parts, allowing greater reliability and easier serviceability while also increasing the power reserve from 54 hours to an impressive 72 hours.

Now featuring a 38 millimeter case (2 millimeters larger than the predecessor reference), the watch kept its overall classical proportions with nearly similar stylization. The officer-case features a hinged caseback, providing the protection, weight, and gold value of a solid caseback while allowing for the option to be opened to view the wonderful in-house caliber 324 through the second sapphire caseback..
Flare is added to this perpetual calendar timepiece through the retrograde date which instantaneously 'flies back' upon reaching midnight at the end of each month. Furthermore, the former flat dial is now improved with a guilloché center, adding subtle elegance

The Baignoire Allongée is the largest Baignoire model and thus named the ‘Maxi Oval’. This incredibly attractive and very hard to find 1991 edition was part of a limited series of 400 pieces made for Cartier's Paris boutique. The silvered guilloché dial decorated with a moiré pattern is signed ‘Cartier Paris’ and with Cartier’s secret signature on the 7 o’clock numeral. Faithfully capturing the spirit and proportions of the original 1964 model, it is designed to provide a perfect fit on the wrist.
Cartier Baignoire
Originally conceived for an important Russian client in 1912 but unnamed, the Cartier ‘Baignoire’ or ‘bathtub’ in French has remained a timeless and elegant icon for over a century. Although resembling a bathtub, the name actually refers to the shape of the exclusive sections of the grand Opera Houses that Cartier’s clientele frequented. The ‘Baignoire’ shaped watch that is familiar today was not serially produced until 1957 and only christened ‘Baignoire’ in 1973. The ‘Allongée Maxi Oval’ was the ultimate expression of the Baignoire design, the London made examples are thought to have first appeared in 1964. The Baignoire Allongée was not just simply an elongated and exaggerated variation of the standard Baignoire, but a transcendent and unusual piece of functional, wearable art. In 1991 Cartier re-issued the Baignoire Allongee for their Collection Privé, a limited edition reserved for their best clients.

According to the Archives of Breguet, the present 'boîte à cigarettes à couvercle, métal guilloché doré avec oiseau chanteur' was manufactured in 1955 and sold on 2 December 1955 to the original owner, of which his family is consigning the present lot.
It is one of the exceedingly rare singing bird boxes signed by Breguet to appear in public. According to research, less than 30 examples of these fine pieces were made by the celebrated house, mainly by special order for their distinguished clientele.
We would like to thank the Montres Breguet company, and especially Mr. Emmanuel Breguet, for providing us with this information taken from the company's precious archives. LEARN
These boxes were made in two series, one between the mid-1930s and 1940s, and the second in the mid-1950s. They were available in two sizes. The larger version, such as the present box, was fitted with a double mechanism activating the singing bird located to the inside either by opening the cover or by sliding a lever. The smaller boxes featured the more common aperture for the singing bird on their top, activated by a lever in the band.

$30,000-50,000
Patek Philippe coin watches are amongst some of the most charming and intriguing novelties made by the Maison and are admired by collectors of all kinds. Although made in small numbers, these watches were made for over 60 years with the earliest production beginning in the late 1920s, and the last production from the 1980s.
There were various versions of the coin watch and were designated from references 800 to 809: US $5 coin (ref. 800), US $10 coin (ref. 801), US $20 coin (ref. 802 & 803), CHF $100 coin (ref. 804), Pesos $50 coin (Ref. 805) and others. No other coin watches were since made by Patek Philippe.
To create these masterpieces, extreme precision was required to cut, hollow-out, and rebuild these coins, meanwhile carefully preserving their original faces. While many brands made coin watches over the years, Patek Philippe's are amongst the finest as their seams and button are perfectly melded to hide their 'secret' within.
The present reference 802 features a US $20 coin with an internally flipping out watch that has a beautiful champagne color dial with Breguet numerals.

In the height of the American gilded age, Patek Philippe was commissioned by their luxury partners to create highly complicated watches to fit the demand and discerning tastes of their wealthiest patrons. To the best of our knowledge, approximately 160 split second, minute repeating chronographs were commissioned, with nearly half of this production made exclusively for the US market from 1870. Many of these complication watches were co-signed by prestigious retailers such as the presented lot, signed for Shreve & Co. Dating back to 1852, Shreve & Co remains one of the oldest retail jewelers in the state of California still in operation today.
The present lot is monogrammed and personally inscribed for Mr. Emory Winship the 5th, gifted by his first wife on the occasion of their marriage on 3 November 1904. Mr Winship was a decorated naval officer and San Francisco capitalist. The Winships are a prominent American family with history dating back to 1635 and were historically prolific in manufacturing, Pacific trade, and philanthropy. The Winship family's legacy continues to be recognized today through various institutions including the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University, named in honor of Emily Winship Woodruff, the wife of Robert Winship Woodruff. We are pleased to offer the present lot directly from the family of the original owner. LEARN MORE

Introduced in 1996, Patek Philippe unveiled the groundbreaking reference 5035; the world's first self-winding wristwatch to feature an annual calendar, meaning it only had to be set once a year. This newly invented calendar complication would lay down the foundation for a plethora of future models to utilize this functional and more-approachable calendar in terms of price point. Powering this watch is the Caliber 315 S QA 24H that impressively fits into a 37 millimeter case with a slim profile of only 11mm.
The present timepiece has a very attractive configuration with a heavy platinum case, applied luminous Roman hour markers, and luminous leaf hands. The watch has a screw-in sapphire caseback which aids with water-resistance while showcasing the monumental movement.

Impressive and highly attractive, Richard Mille's RM10 is fitted with the automatic manufacture movement RM-AS7, produced and assembled at the renowned AP Renaud & Papi factory in Le Locle. It features a so-called rotor with variable geometry with the
option of adapting the winding to the wearers activity level, such as sports or leisure. By adjusting the six-positional setting of the ribs placement, the rotors inertia is modified, either speeding up the winding process in the case of minimal arm and hand movements, or slowing it down when high activity sports are pursued.

Launched in 1996 and produced until 2007, the Patek Philippe reference 5039 is one of the more unusual and relatively unknown models from the Maison's legendary perpetual calendar family. Compared to its sibling reference 3940 in which both watches were produced in tandem, the 5039 was made in much smaller numbers. It is believed that approximately 500 watches were made in yellow
gold, 400 in white gold, and 300 examples in pink gold. The 5039 differentiates itself from the older 3940 model as it features a more intricate and luxe case with a hobnail bezel and straight but down turning lugs, though still being powering by the celebrated Caliber 240Q with an automatic micro-rotor winding system.
ANNUAL CALENDAR REF. 5036/1R-001
Following the widespread success of the world's first self-winding annual calendar wristwatch in 1996, the reference 5035, Patek Philippe quickly released the successor 5036, such as in the present lot at the turn of the century in 1999. In the updated model, the 24-hours subsidiary register was now replaced with a moon phases indicator, and a power reserve gage was added at 12 o’clock. LEARN MORE

Captivated by its elegant design and the combination of the rose gold case and the pink guilloché dial with its purple accents - a color combination that would have appealed to her - she bought it for herself a number of months before it was actually manufactured, based on a 'coming soon' brochure of the watch that Theo Fennell's of London sent to her in the spring of 2001. Commissioned by Fennell, this was an exclusive edition by Franck Muller entitled 'Rosé', and my mother's watch was number 01 of 05 examples made with a pink gold case and bracelet.

It is made even rarer by the yellow diamonds set into its case. The original white lacquer Paris dial features striking 'exploding' Roman numerals and a vintage 'square' Cartier font, which collectors are particularly fond of. Interestingly, the blued steel hands are pencil-shaped rather than sword-shaped, adding another distinguished detail to the watch. French eagle hallmarks are visible on the back and sides of the case, as well as on the clasp. The timepiece is powered by an 18-jewel Jaeger-LeCoultre movement signed by Cartier.

Very unusual and rare, the present Patek Philippe gold bracelet watch reference 2100 features six shell or scallop shape integrated links, and an almost identical center 'link' containing a concealed watch. Upon pushing a button located at the side near 5 o'clock, the lid is spring-loaded and immediately pops open, revealing the silvered dial with a 'long' Patek Philippe signature (Patek, Philippe & Co.), identifying this watch's early production to 1945.
According to John Reardon of Collectability, the original retail of this timepiece, sometimes called 'the turkey', was $2,700, an extraordinary sum of money for the time, especially considering that Patek Philippe's first serially produced perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatch reference 1518 costed approximately half of the price. Only a handful of these lavish watches were believed to be manufactured, one of them being in Patek Philippe's own museum, making this timepiece a wonderful opportunity to acquire a rare and handmade beauty.

EBERHARD. A LARGE AND ATTRACTIVE 18K GOLD SINGLE-BUTTON CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH MULTISCALE DIAL AND STOP/ START/LOCK DEVICE
SIGNED EBERHARD & CO., PRE-EXTRA FORT MODEL, MOVEMENT NO. 9154. CASE NO. 199'782, CIRCA 1940
Movement: Manual
Dial: Silvered
Case: 39 mm. diam.
$8,000-16,000
Highly rare and sought-after by collectors, the present monopusher chronograph features a very attractive and oversized 39 millimeter 18k gold case and a silvered dial with Breguet numerals. The dial is complex yet perfectly proportioned, with an outer telemeter scale used for measuring distances based on a visible and audible event, such as during a thunderstorm. The divisions on the scale are based on the speed of sound in air (340 meters per second). In the center is a spiral tachymeter scale for measuring speed over distance. Subsidiary dials for the 30-minute register at 3 o’clock and seconds at 9 o’clock provide visual symmetry.
A particularly fascinating feature of this model of Eberhard chronograph is the patented ‘split-time’ mechanism, patented in
1935. At first glance, the watch has the appearance of a typical two-button chronograph. However, it is, in fact, a ‘monopoussoir’ or single-button chronograph. The pusher at 2 o’clock starts, stops, and resets the chronograph, while the pusher at 4 o’clock stops and then locks the chronograph hand by sliding it up towards the crown. Thus, the measurement recorded by the chronograph is preserved until it is recorded by the user and the lock is released.
Eberhard & Co. was founded by Georges Eberhard in La Chaux-deFonds, Switzerland in 1887. With the launch of its first chronograph wristwatch in 1919 the firm was quickly recognized as one of the most prominent manufacturers of chronographs in Switzerland.
ANTI-MAGNETIC CHRONOGRAPH REF. 4099
LEARN MORE
ROLEX. A VERY EARLY STAINLESS STEEL CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH FANCY LUGS
SIGNED ROLEX, ANTI-MAGNETIC CHRONOGRAPH MODEL, REF. 4099, CASE NO. 583'074, CIRCA 1947
Movement: Manual
Dial: Silvered
Case: 35 mm. diam.
Remark: Approx. 100 pieces made
$15,000-25,000
Extremely rare and hard to come by, reference 4099 is one of the rarest early non-Oyster chronographs made by Rolex. These watches were manufactured from approximately 1938 to 1947, with the present lot dating to around the final year of production. This attractive example represents a wonderful opportunity for the astute collector to acquire a piece in today’s growing 'pre-Daytona' market.
Offered only in stainless steel or a combination of gold and stainless steel, these watches are iconic thanks to their ‘spider’ or ‘flared’ lugs and alpha hands, creating a dressy yet distinctive
aesthetic. Pleasingly, the present watch retains its original caseback engravings, including the coronet and serial number - features often lost to polishing over time. Even a light service polish can remove these details, making this example’s case notably well-preserved.
The two-register chronograph is powered by a Valjoux 23 movement. The multiscale dial features pointed hour markers, further complemented by luminous alpha hands. It is believed that no more than 100 pieces of this reference were produced, making this an exceptional opportunity for collectors to secure an early Rolex chronograph in today’s expanding 'pre-Daytona' market.
These Conditions of Sale and the Important Notices and Explanation of Cataloguing Practice set out the terms on which we offer the lots listed in this catalogue for sale. By registering to bid and/or by bidding at auction you agree to these terms, so you should read them carefully before doing so. You will find a glossary at the end explaining the meaning of the words and expressions coloured in bold. As well as these Conditions of Sale, lots in which we offer Non-Fungible Tokens are governed by the Additional Conditions of Sale – Non-Fungible Tokens, which are available in Appendix A herein. For the sale of Non-Fungible Tokens, to the extent there is a conflict between the “New York Conditions of Sale Buying at Christie’s” and “Additional Conditions of Sale – Non-Fungible Tokens”, the latter controls.
Unless we own a lot in whole or in part (Δ symbol), Christie’s acts as agent for the seller.
A BEFORE THE SALE
1 DESCRIPTION OF LOTS
(a)Certain words used in the catalogue description have special meanings. You can find details of these on the page headed “Important Notices and Explanation of Cataloguing Practice” which forms part of these terms. You can find a key to the Symbols found next to certain catalogue entries under the section of the catalogue called “Symbols Used in this Catalogue”.
(b)Our description of any lot in the catalogue, any condition report and any other statement made by us (whether orally or in writing) about any lot, including about its nature or condition, artist, period, materials, approximate dimensions, or provenance are our opinion and not to be relied upon as a statement of fact. We do not carry out in-depth research of the sort carried out by professional historians and scholars. All dimensions and weights are approximate only.
2 OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR DESCRIPTION OF LOTS
We do not provide any guarantee in relation to the nature of a lot apart from our authenticity warranty contained in paragraph E2 and to the extent provided in paragraph I below.
3 CONDITION
(a)The condition of lots sold in our auctions can vary widely due to factors such as age, previous damage, restoration, repair and wear and tear. Their nature means that they will rarely be in perfect condition Lots are sold “as is,” in the condition they are in at the time of the sale, without any representation or warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to condition by Christie’s or by the seller.
(b)Any reference to condition in a catalogue entry or in a condition report will not amount to a full description of condition, and images may not show a lot clearly. Colours and shades may look different in print or on screen to how they look on physical inspection. Condition reports may be available to help you evaluate the condition of a lot Condition reports are provided free of charge as a convenience to our buyers and are for guidance only. They offer our opinion but they may not refer to all faults, inherent defects, restoration, alteration or adaptation because our staff are not professional restorers or conservators. For that reason condition reports are not an alternative to examining a lot in person or seeking your own professional advice. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have requested, received and considered any condition report.
(a)If you are planning to bid on a lot, you should inspect it personally or through a knowledgeable representative before you make a bid to make sure that you accept the description and its condition. We recommend you get your own advice from a restorer or other professional adviser.
(b)Pre-auction viewings are open to the public free of charge. Our specialists may be available to answer questions at preauction viewings or by appointment.
Estimates are based on the condition, rarity, quality and provenance of the lots and on prices recently paid at auction for similar property. Estimates can change. Neither you, nor anyone else, may rely on any estimates as a prediction or guarantee of the actual selling price of a lot or its value for any other purpose. Estimates do not include the buyer’s premium or any applicable taxes.
Christie’s may, at its option, withdraw any lot from auction at any time prior to or during the sale of the lot. Christie’s has no liability to you for any decision to withdraw.
(a)Coloured gemstones (such as rubies, sapphires and emeralds) may have been treated to improve their look, through methods such as heating and oiling. These methods are accepted by the international jewellery trade but may make the gemstone less strong and/or require special care over time.
(b)It will not be apparent to us whether a diamond is naturally or synthetically formed unless it has been tested by a gemmological laboratory. Where the diamond has been tested, a gemmological report will be available.
(c) All types of gemstones may have been improved by some method. You may request a gemmological report for any item which does not have a report if the request is made to us at least three weeks before the date of the auction and you pay the fee for the report.
(d)Certain weights in the catalogue description are provided for guidance purposes only as they have been estimated through measurement and, as such, should not be relied upon as exact.
(e) We do not obtain a gemmological report for every gemstone sold in our auctions. Where we do get gemmological reports from internationally accepted gemmological laboratories, such reports will be described in the catalogue. Reports from American gemmological laboratories will describe any improvement or treatment to the gemstone. Reports from European gemmological laboratories will describe any improvement or treatment only if we request that they do so, but will confirm when no improvement or treatment has been made. Because of differences in approach and technology, laboratories may not agree whether a particular gemstone has been treated, the amount of treatment, or whether treatment is permanent. The gemmological laboratories will only report on the improvements or treatments known to the laboratories at the date of the report. We do not guarantee nor are we responsible for any report or certificate from a gemmological laboratory that may accompany a lot
(f)For jewellery sales, estimates are based on the information in any gemmological report, or if no report is available, assume that the gemstones may have been treated or enhanced.

(a)Almost all clocks and watches are repaired in their lifetime and may include parts which are not original. We do not give a warranty that any individual component part of any watch is authentic. Watchbands described as “associated” are not part of the original watch and may not be authentic. Clocks may be sold without pendulums, weights or keys.
(b)As collectors’ watches often have very fine and complex mechanisms, you are responsible for any general service, change of battery, or further repair work that may be necessary. We do not give a warranty that any watch is in good working order. Certificates are not available unless described in the catalogue.
(c)Most wristwatches have been opened to find out the type and quality of movement. For that reason, wristwatches with water resistant cases may not be waterproof and we recommend you have them checked by a competent watchmaker before use.
Important information about the sale, transport and shipping of watches and watchbands can be found in paragraph H2(f).

(a)If this is your first time bidding at Christie’s or you are a returning bidder who has not bought anything from any of our salerooms within the last two years you must register at least 48 hours before an auction begins to give us enough time to process and approve your registration. We may, at our option, decline to permit you to register as a bidder. You will be asked for the following:
(i)for individuals: Photo identification (driver’s licence, national identity card, or passport) and, if not shown on the ID document, proof of your current address (for example, a current utility bill or bank statement);
(ii)for corporate clients: Your Certificate of Incorporation or equivalent document(s) showing your name and registered address together with documentary proof of directors and beneficial owners; and
(iii)for trusts, partnerships, offshore companies and other business structures, please contact us in advance to discuss our requirements.
(b)We may also ask you to give us a financial reference and/or a deposit as a condition of allowing you to bid. For help, please contact our Client Services Department at +1 212-636-2000.
As described in paragraph B(1) above, we may at our option ask you for current identification, a financial reference, or a deposit as a condition of allowing you to bid. If you have not bought anything from any of our salerooms within the last two years or if you want to spend more than on previous occasions, please contact our Client Services Department at +1 212-636-2000.
3 IF YOU FAIL TO PROVIDE THE RIGHT DOCUMENTS
If in our opinion you do not satisfy our bidder identification and registration procedures including, but not limited to completing any anti-money laundering and/or anti-terrorism financing checks we may require to our satisfaction, we may refuse to register you to bid, and if you make a successful bid, we may cancel the contract for sale between you and the seller.
4 BIDDING ON BEHALF OF ANOTHER PERSON
If you are bidding on behalf of another person, that person will need to complete the registration requirements above before you can bid and supply a signed letter authorising you to bid for him/ her. A bidder accepts personal liability to pay the purchase price and all other sums due unless it has been agreed in writing with Christie’s, before commencement of the auction, that the bidder is acting as an agent on behalf of a named third party acceptable to Christie’s and that Christie’s will only seek payment from the named third party.
5 BIDDING IN PERSON
If you wish to bid in the saleroom you must register for a numbered bidding paddle at least 30 minutes before the auction. You may register online at www.christies.com or in person. For help, please contact the Client Service Department on +1 212-636-2000.
6 BIDDING SERVICES
The bidding services described below are a free service offered as a convenience to our clients and Christie’s is not responsible for any error (human or otherwise), omission, or breakdown in providing these services.
(a) Phone Bids
Your request for this service must be made no later than 24 hours prior to the auction. We will accept bids by telephone for lots only if our staff are available to take the bids. If you need to bid in a language other than in English, you must arrange this well before the auction. We may record telephone bids. By bidding on the telephone, you are agreeing to us recording your conversations. You also agree that your telephone bids are governed by these Conditions of Sale.
(b) Internet Bids on Christie’s LIVE™
For certain auctions we will accept bids over the Internet. For more information, please visit https://www.christies.com/ buying-services/buying-guide/register-and-bid/. As well as these Conditions of Sale, internet bids are governed by the Christie’s LIVE™ Terms of Use which are available at https:// www.christies.com/LiveBidding/OnlineTermsOfUse.aspx
(c) Written Bids
You can find a Written Bid Form at any Christie’s office, or by choosing the sale and viewing the lots online at www. christies.com. We must receive your completed Written Bid at least 24 hours before the auction. Bids must be placed in the currency of the saleroom. The auctioneer will take reasonable steps to carry out written bids at the lowest possible price, taking into account the reserve. If you make a written bid on a lot which does not have a reserve and there is no higher bid than yours, we will bid on your behalf at around 50% of the low estimate or, if lower, the amount of your bid. If we receive written bids on a lot for identical amounts, and at the auction these are the highest bids on the lot, we will sell the lot to the bidder whose written bid we received first.
1
We may, at our option, refuse admission to our premises or decline to permit participation in any auction or to reject any bid.
2
Unless otherwise indicated, all lots are subject to a reserve. We identify lots that are offered without a reserve with the symbol • next to the lot number. The reserve cannot be more than the lot’s low estimate, unless the lot is subject to a third party guarantee and the irrevocable bid exceeds the printed low estimate. In that case, the reserve will be set at the amount of the irrevocable bid. Lots which are subject to a third party guarantee arrangement are identified in the catalogue with the symbol °◆
The auctioneer can at their sole option:
(a)refuse any bid;
(b)move the bidding backwards or forwards in any way they may decide, or change the order of the lots;
(c)withdraw any lot;
(d)divide any lot or combine any two or more lots;
(e)reopen or continue the bidding even after the hammer has fallen; and
(f)in the case of error or dispute related to bidding and whether during or after the auction, continue the bidding, determine the successful bidder, cancel the sale of the lot, or reoffer and resell any lot. If you believe that the auctioneer has accepted the successful bid in error, you must provide a written notice detailing your claim within 3 business days of the date of the auction. The auctioneer will consider such claim in good faith. If the auctioneer, in the exercise of their discretion under this paragraph, decides after the auction is complete, to cancel the sale of a lot, or reoffer and resell a lot, they will notify the successful bidder no later than by the end of the 7th calendar day following the date of the auction. The auctioneer’s decision in exercise of this discretion is final. This paragraph does not in any way prejudice Christie’s ability to cancel the sale of a lot under any other applicable provision of these Conditions of Sale, including the rights of cancellation set forth in paragraphs B(3), E(2)(i), F(4), and J(1).
4
The auctioneer accepts bids from:
(a)bidders in the saleroom;
(b)telephone bidders;
(c)internet bidders through Christie’s LIVE™ (as shown above in paragraph B6); and
(d)written bids (also known as absentee bids or commission bids) left with us by a bidder before the auction.
5
The auctioneer may, at their sole option, bid on behalf of the seller up to but not including the amount of the reserve either by making consecutive bids or by making bids in response to other bidders. The auctioneer will not identify these as bids made on behalf of the seller and will not make any bid on behalf of the seller at or above the reserve. If lots are offered without reserve, the auctioneer will generally decide to open the bidding at 50% of the low estimate for the lot. If no bid is made at that level, the auctioneer may decide to go backwards at their sole option until a bid is made, and then continue up from that amount. In the event that there are no bids on a lot, the auctioneer may deem such lot unsold.
6 BID INCREMENTS
Bidding generally starts below the low estimate and increases in steps (bid increments). The auctioneer will decide at their sole option where the bidding should start and the bid increments.
7 CURRENCY
The saleroom video screens (and Christies LIVE™) may show bids in some other major currencies as well as US dollars. Any conversion is for guidance only and we cannot be bound by any rate of exchange used. Christie’s is not responsible for any error (human or otherwise), omission or breakdown in providing these services.
8 SUCCESSFUL BIDS
Unless the auctioneer decides to use their discretion as set out in paragraph C3 above, when the auctioneer’s hammer strikes, we have accepted the last bid. This means a contract for sale has been formed between the seller and the successful bidder. We will issue an invoice only to the registered bidder who made the successful bid. While we send out invoices by mail and/or email after the auction, we do not accept responsibility for telling you whether or not your bid was successful. If you have bid by written bid, you should contact us by telephone or in person as soon as possible after the auction to get details of the outcome of your bid to avoid having to pay unnecessary storage charges.
9
You agree that when bidding in any of our sales that you will strictly comply with all local laws and regulations in force at the time of the sale for the relevant sale site.
D
1
In addition to the hammer price, the successful bidder agrees to pay us a buyer’s premium on the hammer price of each lot sold. On all lots we charge 26% of the hammer price up to and including US$1,000,000, 21.0% on that part of the hammer price over US$1,000,000 and up to and including US$6,000,000, and 15.0% of that part of the hammer price above US$6,000,000.
The successful bidder is responsible for any applicable taxes including any sales or use tax or equivalent tax wherever such taxes may arise on the hammer price, the buyer’s premium, and/ or any other charges related to the lot
For lots Christie’s ships to or within the United States, a sales or use tax may be due on the hammer price, buyer’s premium, and/or any other charges related to the lot, regardless of the nationality or citizenship of the successful bidder. Christie’s will collect sales tax where legally required. The applicable sales tax rate will be determined based upon the state, county, or locale to which the lot will be shipped. Christie’s shall collect New York sales tax at a rate of 8.875% for any lot collected from Christie’s in New York.
In accordance with New York law, if Christie’s arranges the shipment of a lot out of New York State, New York sales tax does not apply, although sales tax or other applicable taxes for other states may apply. If you hire a shipper (other than a common carrier authorized by Christie’s), to collect the lot from a Christie’s New York location, Christie’s must collect New York sales tax on the lot at a rate of 8.875% regardless of the ultimate destination of the lot
If Christie’s delivers the lot to, or the lot is collected by, any framer, restorer or other similar service provider in New York that you have hired, New York law considers the lot delivered to the successful bidder in New York and New York sales tax must be imposed regardless of the ultimate destination of the lot. In this circumstance, New York sales tax will apply to the lot even if Christie’s or a common carrier (authorized by Christie’s that you hire) subsequently delivers the lot outside New York.
Successful bidders claiming an exemption from sales tax must provide appropriate documentation to Christie’s prior to the release of the lot or within 90 days after the sale, whichever is earlier. For shipments to those states for which Christie’s is not required to collect sales tax, a successful bidder may have a use or similar tax obligation. It is the successful bidder’s responsibility to pay all taxes due. Christie’s recommends you consult your own independent tax advisor with any questions.
For each lot, the seller gives a warranty that the seller:
(a)is the owner of the lot or a joint owner of the lot acting with the permission of the other co-owners or, if the seller is not the owner or a joint owner of the lot, has the permission of the owner to sell the lot, or the right to do so in law; and (b)has the right to transfer ownership of the lot to the buyer without any restrictions or claims by anyone else.
(c)If either of the above warranties are incorrect, the seller shall not have to pay more than the purchase price (as defined in paragraph F1(a) below) paid by you to us. The seller will not be responsible to you for any reason for loss of profits or business, expected savings, loss of opportunity or interest, costs, damages, other damages or expenses. The seller gives no warranty in relation to any lot other than as set out above and, as far as the seller is allowed by law, all warranties from the seller to you, and all other obligations upon the seller which may be added to this agreement by law, are excluded.
We warrant, subject to the terms below, that the lots in our sales are authentic (our “authenticity warranty”). If, within 5 years of the date of the auction, you give notice to us that your lot is not authentic, subject to the terms below, we will refund the purchase price paid by you. The meaning of authentic can be found in the glossary at the end of these Conditions of Sale. The terms of the authenticity warranty are as follows:
(a)It will be honored for claims notified within a period of 5 years from the date of the auction. After such time, we will not be obligated to honor the authenticity warranty
(b)It is given only for information shown in UPPERCASE type in the first line of the catalogue description (the “Heading”). It does not apply to any information other than in the Heading even if shown in UPPERCASE type
(c)The authenticity warranty does not apply to any Heading or part of a Heading which is qualified Qualified means limited by a clarification in a lot’s catalogue description or by the use in a Heading of one of the terms listed in the section titled Qualified Headings on the page of the catalogue headed “Important Notices and Explanation of Cataloguing Practice”. For example, use of the term “ATTRIBUTED TO…” in a Heading means that the lot is in Christie’s opinion probably a work by the named artist but no warranty is provided that the lot is the work of the named artist. Please read the full list of Qualified Headings and a lot’s full catalogue description before bidding.
(d)The authenticity warranty applies to the Heading as amended by any Saleroom notice
(e)The authenticity warranty does not apply where scholarship has developed since the auction leading to a change in generally accepted opinion. Further, it does not apply if the Heading either matched the generally accepted opinion of experts at the date of the auction or drew attention to any conflict of opinion.
(f)The authenticity warranty does not apply if the lot can only be shown not to be authentic by a scientific process which, on the date we published the catalogue, was not available or generally accepted for use, or which was unreasonably expensive or impractical, or which was likely to have damaged the lot
(g)The benefit of the authenticity warranty is only available to the original buyer shown on the invoice for the lot issued at the time of the sale and only if on the date of the notice of claim, the original buyer is the full owner of the lot and the lot is free from any claim, interest or restriction by anyone else. The benefit of this authenticity warranty may not be transferred to anyone else.
(h)In order to claim under the authenticity warranty you must:
(i)give us written notice of your claim within 5 years of the date of the auction. We may require full details and supporting evidence of any such claim;
(ii)at Christie’s option, we may require you to provide the written opinions of two recognised experts in the field of the lot mutually agreed by you and us in advance confirming that the lot is not authentic. If we have any doubts, we reserve the right to obtain additional opinions at our expense; and
(iii) return the lot at your expense to the saleroom from which you bought it in the condition it was in at the time of sale.
(i)Your only right under this authenticity warranty is to cancel the sale and receive a refund of the purchase price paid by you to us. We will not, under any circumstances, be required to pay you more than the purchase price nor will we be liable for any loss of profits or business, loss of opportunity or value, expected savings or interest, costs, damages, other damages or expenses.
(j) Books. Where the lot is a book, we give an additional warranty for 21 days from the date of the auction that if any lot is defective in text or illustration, we will refund your purchase price, subject to the following terms:
(a) This additional warranty does not apply to:
(i)the absence of blanks, half titles, tissue guards or advertisements, damage in respect of bindings, stains, spotting, marginal tears or other defects not affecting completeness of the text or illustration;
(ii)drawings, autographs, letters or manuscripts, signed photographs, music, atlases, maps or periodicals;
(iii)books not identified by title;
(iv) lots sold without a printed estimate;
(v)books which are described in the catalogue as sold not subject to return; or
(vi)defects stated in any condition report or announced at the time of sale.
(b) To make a claim under this paragraph you must give written details of the defect and return the lot to the sale room at which you bought it in the same condition as at the time of sale, within 21 days of the date of the sale.
(k) South East Asian Modern and Contemporary Art and Chinese Calligraphy and Painting.
In these categories, the authenticity warranty does not apply because current scholarship does not permit the making of definitive statements. Christie’s does, however, agree to cancel a sale in either of these two categories of art where it has been proven the lot is a forgery. Christie’s will refund to the original buyer the purchase price in accordance with the terms of Christie’s Authenticity warranty, provided that the original buyer notifies us with full supporting evidence documenting the forgery claim within twelve (12) months of the date of the auction. Such evidence must be satisfactory to us that the property is a forgery in accordance with paragraph E2(h)(ii) above and the property must be returned to us in accordance with paragraph E2(h)(iii) above. Paragraphs E2(b), (c), (d), (e), (f) and (g) and (i) also apply to a claim under these categories.
(l) Chinese, Japanese and Korean artefacts (excluding Chinese, Japanese and Korean calligraphy, paintings, prints, drawings and jewellery).
In these categories, paragraph E2 (b) – (e) above shall be amended so that where no maker or artist is identified, the authenticity warranty is given not only for the Heading but also for information regarding date or period shown in UPPERCASE type in the second line of the catalogue description (the “Subheading”). Accordingly, all references to the Heading in paragraph E2 (b) – (e) above shall be read as references to both the Heading and the Subheading
3 NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES
EXCEPT AS SET FORTH IN PARAGRAPHS E1 AND E2 ABOVE, NEITHER THE SELLER NOR THE CHRISTIE’S GROUP MAKE ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ORAL OR WRITTEN, WITH RESPECT TO THE LOT, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, EACH OF WHICH IS SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMED.
4 YOUR WARRANTIES
(a)You warrant that the funds used for settlement are not connected with any criminal activity, including tax evasion, and you are neither under investigation, nor have you been charged with or convicted of money laundering, terrorist activities or other crimes.
(b)Where you are bidding on behalf of another person, you warrant that:
(i)you have conducted appropriate customer due diligence on the ultimate buyer(s) of the lot(s) in accordance with all applicable anti-money laundering and sanctions laws, consent to us relying on this due diligence, and you will retain for a period of not less than 5 years the documentation evidencing the due diligence. You will make such documentation promptly available for immediate inspection by an independent third-party auditor upon our written request to do so;
(ii)the arrangements between you and the ultimate buyer(s) in relation to the lot or otherwise do not, in whole or in part, facilitate tax crimes;
(iii)you do not know, and have no reason to suspect, that the funds used for settlement are connected with, the proceeds of any criminal activity, including tax evasion, or that the ultimate buyer(s) are under investigation, or have been charged with or convicted of money laundering, terrorist activities or other crimes.

(viii)we can exercise all the rights and remedies of a person holding security over any property in our possession owned by you, whether by way of pledge, security interest or in any other way as permitted by the law of the place where such property is located. You will be deemed to have granted such security to us and we may retain such property as collateral security for your obligations to us; and
(ix)we can take any other action we see necessary or appropriate.
(b)If you owe money to us or to another Christie’s Group company, we can use any amount you do pay, including any deposit or other part-payment you have made to us, or which we owe you, to pay off any amount you owe to us or another Christie’s Group company for any transaction.
If you owe money to us or to another Christie’s Group company, as well as the rights set out in F4 above, we can use or deal with any of your property we hold or which is held by another Christie’s Group company in any way we are allowed to by law. We will only release your property to you after you pay us or the relevant Christie’s Group company in full for what you owe. However, if we choose, we can also sell your property in any way we think appropriate. We will use the proceeds of the sale against any amounts you owe us and we will pay any amount left from that sale to you. If there is a shortfall, you must pay us any difference between the amount we have received from the sale and the amount you owe us.
(a)You must collect purchased lots within seven days from the auction (but note that lots will not be released to you until you have made full and clear payment of all amounts due to us).
(b)If you do not collect any lot within 90 days following the auction we may, at our option
(i)charge you storage costs at the rates set out at www. christies.com/en/help/buying-guide/storage-fees
(ii)move the lot to another Christie’s location or an affiliate or third-party warehouse and charge you transport costs and administration fees for doing so and you will be subject to the third party storage warehouse’s standard terms and to pay for their standard fees and costs.
(iii)sell the lot in any commercially reasonable way we think appropriate.
(c)The Storage conditions which can be found at www.christies. com/en/help/buying-guide/storage-conditions will apply.
(d)If you do not collect the lot within 90 calendar days of the auction and Christie’s exercises its rights under paragraph G(b) above, the lot will be deemed delivered in New York and therefore subject to New York state and local sales tax. For shipments booked and paid for prior to 90 calendar days of the auction, sales tax will be determined based on the guidance set forth in paragraph D(2).
(e)Nothing in this paragraph is intended to limit our rights under paragraph F4.
We would be happy to assist in making shipping arrangements on request. You must make all transport and shipping arrangements. However, we can arrange to pack, transport, and ship your property if you ask us to and pay the costs of doing so. We recommend that you ask us for an estimate, especially for any large items or items of high value that need professional packing. We may also suggest other handlers, packers, transporters, or experts if you ask us to do so. For more information, please contact Christie’s Post-Sale Services at +1 212 636 2650. See the information set out at https://www.christies.com/buyingservices/buying-guide/ship/ or contact us at PostSaleUS@ christies.com. We will take reasonable care when we are handling, packing, transporting, and shipping. However, if we recommend another company for any of these purposes, we are not responsible for their acts, failure to act, or neglect.
Any lot sold at auction may be affected by laws on exports from the country in which it is sold and the import restrictions of other countries. Many countries require a declaration of export for property leaving the country and/or an import declaration on entry of property into the country. Local laws may prevent you from importing a lot or may prevent you selling a lot in the country you import it into.
(a)You alone are responsible for getting advice about and meeting the requirements of any laws or regulations which apply to exporting or importing any lot prior to bidding. If you are refused a licence or there is a delay in getting one, you must still pay us in full for the lot. We may be able to help you apply for the appropriate licences if you ask us to and pay our fee for doing so. However, we cannot guarantee that you will get one. For more information, please contact Christie’s Post-Sale Services Department at +1 212 636 2650 and PostSaleUS@christies.com.
See the information set out at https://www.christies. com/buying-services/buying-guide/ship/ or contact us at PostSaleUS@christies.com.
(b)You alone are responsible for any applicable taxes, tariffs or other government-imposed charges relating to the export or import of the lot. If Christie’s exports or imports the lot on your behalf, and if Christie’s pays these applicable taxes, tariffs or other government-imposed charges, you agree to refund that amount to Christie’s.
(c) Endangered and protected species Lots made of or including (regardless of the percentage) endangered and other protected species of wildlife are marked with the symbol ~ in the catalogue. This material includes, among other things, ivory, tortoiseshell, whalebone, certain species of coral, Brazilian rosewood, crocodile, alligator and ostrich skins. You should check the relevant customs laws and regulations before bidding on any lot containing wildlife material if you plan to export the lot from the country in which the lot is sold and import it into another country as a licence may be required. In some cases, the lot can only be shipped with an independent scientific confirmation of species and/or age and you will need to obtain these at your own cost. Several countries have imposed restrictions on dealing in elephant ivory, ranging from a total ban on importing African elephant ivory in the United States to importing, exporting and selling under strict measures in other countries. Handbags containing endangered or
protected species material are marked with the symbol ≈ and further information can be found in paragraph H2(h) below. We will not be obliged to cancel your purchase and refund the purchase price if your lot may not be exported, imported or it is seized for any reason by a government authority. It is your responsibility to determine and satisfy the requirements of any applicable laws or regulations relating to the export or import of property containing such protected or regulated material.
(d) Lots containing Ivory or materials resembling ivory
If a lot contains elephant ivory, or any other wildlife material that could be confused with elephant ivory (for example, mammoth ivory, walrus ivory, helmeted hornbill ivory) you may be prevented from exporting the lot from the US or shipping it between US States without first confirming its species by way of a rigorous scientific test acceptable to the applicable Fish and Wildlife authorities. You will buy that lot at your own risk and be responsible for any scientific test or other reports required for export from the USA or between US States at your own cost. We will not be obliged to cancel your purchase and refund the purchase price if your lot may not be exported, imported or shipped between US States, or it is seized for any reason by a government authority. It is your responsibility to determine and satisfy the requirements of any applicable laws or regulations relating to interstate shipping, export or import of property containing such protected or regulated material.
(e) Lots of Iranian origin
Some countries prohibit or restrict the purchase, export and/or import of Iranian-origin “works of conventional craftsmanship” (works that are not by a recognized artist and/ or that have a function, (for example: carpets, bowls, ewers, tiles, ornamental boxes). For example, the USA prohibits the import and export of this type of property without a license issued by the US Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control. Other countries, such as Canada, only permit the import of this property in certain circumstances. As a convenience to buyers, Christie’s indicates under the title of a lot if the lot originates from Iran (Persia). It is your responsibility to ensure you do not bid on or import a lot in contravention of the sanctions or trade embargoes that apply to you.
(f) Gold
Gold of less than 18ct does not qualify in all countries as ‘gold’ and may be refused import into those countries as ‘gold’.
(g) Watches
Many of the watches offered for sale in this catalogue are pictured with straps made of endangered or protected animal materials such as alligator or crocodile. These lots are marked with the symbol Ψ in the catalogue. These endangered species straps are shown for display purposes only and are not for sale. Christie’s will remove and retain the strap prior to shipment from the sale site. At some sale sites, Christie’s may, at its discretion, make the displayed endangered species strap available to the buyer of the lot free of charge if collected in person from the sale site within 1 year of the date of the auction. Please check with the department for details on a particular lot
(h)Handbags
A lot marked with the symbol ≈ next to the lot number includes endangered or protected species material and is subject to CITES regulations. This lot may only be shipped to an address within the country of the sale site or personally picked up from our saleroom. Please note, Christie’s cannot facilitate the shipment of any lot containing python, alligator or crocodile into the State of California.
The term “hardware” refers to the metallic parts of the handbag, such as the buckle hardware, base studs, lock and keys and/or strap, which are plated with a coloured finish (e.g. gold, silver, palladium). The terms “Gold Hardware”, “Silver Hardware”, “Palladium Hardware”, etc. refer to the tone or colour of the hardware and not the actual material used. If the handbag incorporates solid metal hardware, this will be referenced in the catalogue description
For all symbols and other markings referred to in paragraph H2, please note that lots are marked as a convenience to you, but we do not accept liability for errors or for failing to mark lots
(a)We give no warranty in relation to any statement made, or information given, by us or our representatives or employees, about any lot other than as set out in the authenticity warranty and, as far as we are allowed by law, all warranties and other terms which may be added to this agreement by law are excluded. The seller’s warranties contained in paragraph E1 are their own and we do not have any liability to you in relation to those warranties.
(b)(i) We are not responsible to you for any reason (whether for breaking this agreement or any other matter relating to your purchase of, or bid for, any lot) other than in the event of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by us or other than as expressly set out in these conditions of sale; and (ii) we
do not give any representation, warranty or guarantee or assume any liability of any kind in respect of any lot with regard to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, description, size, quality, condition, attribution, authenticity, rarity, importance, medium, provenance, exhibition history, literature, or historical relevance. Except as required by local law, any warranty of any kind is excluded by this paragraph.
(c)In particular, please be aware that our written and telephone bidding services, Christie’s LIVE™, condition reports, currency converter and saleroom video screens are free services and we are not responsible to you for any error (human or otherwise), omission or breakdown in these services.
(d)We have no responsibility to any person other than a buyer in connection with the purchase of any lot
(e)If, in spite of the terms in paragraphs I(a) to (d) or E2(i) above, we are found to be liable to you for any reason, we shall not have to pay more than the purchase price paid by you to us. We will not be responsible to you for any reason for loss of profits or business, loss of opportunity or value, expected savings or interest, costs, other damages, or expenses.
1
J
In addition to the other rights of cancellation contained in this agreement, we can cancel a sale of a lot if : (i) any of your warranties in paragraph E4 are not correct; (ii) we reasonably believe that completing the transaction is, or may be, unlawful; or (iii) we reasonably believe that the sale places us or the seller under any liability to anyone else or may damage our reputation.
2
We may videotape and record proceedings at any auction. We will keep any personal information confidential, except to the extent disclosure is required by law. However, we may, through this process, use or share these recordings with another Christie’s Group company and marketing partners to analyse our customers and to help us to tailor our services for buyers. If you do not want to be videotaped, you may make arrangements to make a telephone or written bid or bid on Christie’s LIVE™ instead. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you may not videotape or record proceedings at any auction.
3 COPYRIGHT
We own the copyright in all images, illustrations and written material produced by or for us relating to a lot (including the contents of our catalogues unless otherwise noted in the catalogue). You cannot use them without our prior written permission. We do not offer any guarantee that you will gain any copyright or other reproduction rights to the lot
4 ENFORCING THIS AGREEMENT
If a court finds that any part of this agreement is not valid or is illegal or impossible to enforce, that part of the agreement will be treated as being deleted and the rest of this agreement will not be affected.
5 TRANSFERRING YOUR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You may not grant a security over or transfer your rights or responsibilities under these terms on the contract of sale with the buyer unless we have given our written permission. This agreement will be binding on your successors or estate and anyone who takes over your rights and responsibilities.
6 TRANSLATIONS
If we have provided a translation of this agreement, we will use this original version in deciding any issues or disputes which arise under this agreement.

8 WAIVER
No failure or delay to exercise any right or remedy provided under these Conditions of Sale shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy. No single or partial exercise of such right or remedy shall prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.
9 LAW AND DISPUTES
This agreement, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with this agreement, or any other rights you may have relating to the purchase of a lot (the “Dispute”) will be governed by the laws of New York. Before we or you start any court proceedings (except in the limited circumstances where the dispute, controversy or claim is related to proceedings brought by someone else and this dispute could be joined to those proceedings), we agree we will each try to settle the Dispute by mediation submitted to JAMS, or its successor, for mediation in New York. If the Dispute is not settled by mediation within
60 days from the date when mediation is initiated, then the Dispute shall be submitted to JAMS, or its successor, for final and binding arbitration in accordance with its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules and Procedures or, if the Dispute involves a non-U.S. party, the JAMS International Arbitration Rules. The seat of the arbitration shall be New York and the arbitration shall be conducted by one arbitrator, who shall be appointed within 30 days after the initiation of the arbitration. The language used in the arbitral proceedings shall be English. The arbitration award shall be final and binding on all parties involved. Judgment upon the award may be entered by any court having jurisdiction thereof or having jurisdiction over the relevant party or its assets. IMPORTANT NOTICES
∆ Property in which Christie’s has an ownership or financial interest
From time to time, Christie’s may offer a lot in which Christie’s has an ownership interest or a financial interest. Such lot is identified in the catalogue with the symbol ∆ next to its lot number. Where Christie’s has an ownership or financial interest in every lot in the catalogue, Christie’s will not designate each lot with a symbol, but will state its interest in the front of the catalogue.
º Minimum Price Guarantees
On occasion, Christie’s has a direct financial interest in the outcome of the sale of certain lots consigned for sale. This will usually be where it has guaranteed to the Seller that whatever the outcome of the auction, the Seller will receive a minimum sale price for the lot. This is known as a minimum price guarantee. Where Christie’s holds such financial interest we identify such lots with the symbol º next to the lot number.
º ♦ Third Party Guarantees/Irrevocable bids
Where Christie’s has provided a Minimum Price Guarantee, it is at risk of making a loss, which can be significant if the lot fails to sell. Christie’s sometimes chooses to share that risk with a third party who agrees prior to the auction to place an irrevocable written bid on the lot. If there are no other higher bids, the third party commits to buy the lot at the level of their irrevocable written bid. In doing so, the third party takes on all or part of the risk of the lot not being sold. Lots which are subject to a third party guarantee arrangement are identified in the catalogue with the symbol º ♦
In most cases, Christie’s compensates the third party in exchange for accepting this risk. Where the third party is the successful bidder, the third party’s remuneration is based on a fixed financing fee. If the third party is not the successful bidder, the remuneration may either be based on a fixed fee or an amount calculated against the final hammer price. The third party may continue to bid for the lot above the irrevocable written bid.
Third party guarantors are required by us to disclose to anyone they are advising their financial interest in any lots they are guaranteeing. However, for the avoidance of any doubt, if you are advised by or bidding through an agent on a lot identified as being subject to a third party guarantee you should always ask your agent to confirm whether or not they have a financial interest in relation to the lot
∆ ♦ Property in which Christie’s has an interest and Third Party Guarantee/Irrevocable bid
Where Christie’s has a financial interest in a lot and the lot fails to sell, Christie’s is at risk of making a loss. As such, Christie’s may choose to share that risk with a third party whereby the third party contractually agrees, prior to the auction, to place an irrevocable written bid on the lot. Such lot is identified with the symbol ∆ ♦ next to the lot number.
Where the third party is the successful bidder on the lot, they will not receive compensation in exchange for accepting this risk. If the third party is not the successful bidder, Christie’s may compensate the third party. The third party is required by us to disclose to anyone they are advising of their financial interest in any lot in which Christie’s has a financial interest. If you are advised by or bidding through an agent on a lot in which Christie’s has a financial interest that is subject to a contractual written bid, you should always ask your agent to confirm whether or not they have a financial interest in relation to the lot
¤ Bidding by interested parties
When a party with a direct or indirect interest in the lot who may have knowledge of the lot’s reserve or other material information may be bidding on the lot, we will mark the lot with this symbol ¤. This interest can include beneficiaries of an estate that consigned the lot or a joint owner of a lot. Any interested party that successfully bids on a lot must comply with Christie’s Conditions of Sale, including paying the lot’s full buyer’s premium plus applicable taxes.
Post-catalogue notifications
If Christie’s enters into an arrangement or becomes aware of bidding that would have required a catalogue symbol, we will notify you by updating christies.com with the relevant information (time permitting) or otherwise by a pre-sale or prelot announcement.
Christie’s may enter into other arrangements not involving bids. These include arrangements where Christie’s has advanced money to consignors or prospective purchasers or where Christie’s has shared the risk of a guarantee with a partner without the partner being required to place an irrevocable written bid or otherwise participating in the bidding on the lot. Because such arrangements are unrelated to the bidding process they are not marked with a symbol in the catalogue.
Terms used in a catalogue or lot description have the meanings ascribed to them below. Please note that all statements in a catalogue or lot description as to authorship are made subject to the provisions of the Conditions of Sale, including the authenticity warranty. Our use of these expressions does not take account of the condition of the lot or of the extent of any restoration. Written condition reports are usually available on request.
A term and its definition listed under ‘Qualified Headings’ is a qualified statement as to authorship. While the use of this term is based upon careful study and represents the opinion of specialists, Christie’s and the consignor assume no risk, liability and responsibility for the authenticity of authorship of any lot in this catalogue described by this term, and the authenticity warranty shall not be available with respect to lots described using this term.

CHINESE CERAMICS AND WORKS OF ART
When a piece is, in Christie’s opinion, of a certain period, reign or dynasty, its attribution appears in uppercase letters directly below the Heading of the description of the lot
e.g. A BLUE AND WHITE BOWL

The Ming-style bowl is decorated with lotus scrolls…
In Christie’s qualified opinion this object most probably dates from Kangxi period but there remains the possibility that it may be dated differently.
e.g. KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND PROBABLY OF THE PERIOD
In Christie’s qualified opinion, this object could be dated to the Kangxi period but there is a strong element of doubt.

Condition Reports
The condition of lots sold in our auctions can vary widely due to factors such as age, previous damage, restoration, repair and wear and tear. Condition reports and grades are provided free of charge as a courtesy and convenience to our buyers and are for guidance only. They offer our honest opinion but they may not refer to all faults, restoration, alteration or adaptation. They are not an alternative to examining a lot in person or taking your own professional advice. Lots are sold “as is,” in the condition they are in at the time of the sale, without any representation or warranty as to condition by Christie’s or by the seller.
18/12/2024
We provide a general, numeric condition grade to help with overall condition guidance. Please review the specific condition report and extra images for each lot before bidding.
Grade 1: this item exhibits no signs of use or wear and could be considered as new. There are no flaws. Original packaging and protective plastic are likely intact as noted in the lot description.
Grade 2: this item exhibits minor flaws and could be considered nearly brand new. It may never have been used, or may have been used a few times. There are only minor condition notes, which can be found in the specific condition report.
Grade 3: this item exhibits visible signs of use. Any signs of use or wear are minor. This item is in good condition.
Grade 4: this item exhibits wear from frequent use. This item either has light overall wear or small areas of heavy wear. The item is considered to be in fair condition.
Grade 5: this item exhibits normal wear and tear from regular or heavy use. The item is in good, usable condition but it does have condition notes.
Grade 6: this item is damaged and requires repair. It is considered in fair condition.
Any reference to condition in a catalogue entry will not amount to a full description of condition, and images may not show the condition of a lot clearly. Colours and shades may look different in print or on screen to how they look in real life. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have received and considered any condition report and grading.
References to “HARDWARE”
Where used in this catalogue the term “hardware” refers to the metallic parts of the bag, such as the buckle hardware, base studs, lock and keys and /or strap, which are plated with a coloured finish (e.g. gold, silver, palladium). The terms “Gold Hardware”, “Silver Hardware”, “Palladium Hardware” etc. refer to
the tone or colour of the hardware and not the actual material used. If the bag incorporates solid metal hardware this will be referenced in the lot description.
All items of post-1950 furniture included in this sale are items either not originally supplied for use in a private home or sold as collector’s items. These items may not comply with the provisions of the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 (as amended in 1989, 1993 and 2010, the “Regulations”). Accordingly, these items should not be used as furniture in your home in their current condition. If you do intend to use such items for this purpose, you must first ensure that they are reupholstered, restuffed and/or recovered (as appropriate) in order that they comply with the provisions of the Regulations.

Please note that this lot is subject to an import tariff. The amount of the import tariff due is a percentage of the final hammer price plus buyer’s premium. The buyer should contact Post Sale Services prior to the sale to determine the estimated amount of this import tariff. If the buyer instructs Christie’s to arrange shipping of the lot to a foreign address, the buyer will not be required to pay an import tariff, but the shipment may be delayed while awaiting approval to export from the local government. If the buyer instructs Christie’s to arrange the shipment of the lot to a domestic address, if the buyer collects the property in person, or if the buyer arranges their own shipping (whether domestically or internationally), the buyer will be required to pay the import tariff. For the purpose of calculating sales tax, if applicable, the import tariff will be added to the final hammer price plus buyer’s premium and sales tax will be collected as per The Buyer’s Premium and Taxes section of the Conditions of Sale.
