BRINGING YOU THE WORLD’S BEST MUSIC DOCS, ON SCREEN AND ONLINE

OL’
TURN IT UP! In Edition 11 of Doc’n Roll Film Festival, we’ll be raising the curtain on some truly remarkable documentaries – and all the music and mayhem, songs and scenes, trailblazers and outliers they bring to life.
We think this year’s hand-picked programme of 26 feature films, including 4 world and 7 international premieres, is our strongest yet. From 24 October to 10 November, we’ll be lighting up some classic London screens as we take audiences from New York City to Melbourne, Toronto to Los Angeles, Hastings to Ukraine, Ohio to Glasgow, via rock, punk, hip-hop, folk, avant-garde, jazz and soul, R&B – and visual art, too.
When we started Doc’n Roll, our aim was to screen the best in independent filmmaking about unforgettable music-makers – in cinemas, LOUD, as these films were meant to be seen. Over a decade on, we keep being inspired by great stories, great music, DIY spirit and voices from the margins – and it’s clear that our ever-growing Doc’n Roll community feels the same.
Here’s to the music and the docs – and to the filmmakers, the music-makers, the cinemas and you, for making Doc’n Roll roll, year after year.
- Vanessa Lobon Garcia, Colm Forde and all of us at Doc’n Roll
