South Lake Union’s New Barbeque and Booze Spot Is Drawing More Than Its Share of Fans Cask & Trotter is the perfect combination of sophistication mixed with down-home St. Louis BBQ. Opening only four months ago off South Lake Union, it has already created quite a buzz. The lavish dÊcor includes dark wooden tables and shelves holding delicately placed candles, old photographs and thick books, a marble bar top that is bordered by tiny Tiffany lamps and
cushioned, leather upholstered bar stools. The contrasting down-home feel streches across the open room with a bull head skull above the entrance into the kitchen, a couple of old framed western posters on the wall, and white sheets of paper over the larger tables with booths for BBQ sauce to spill on. The juxtaposition between the two design styles could not have been better
