The given site location has two existing buildings however both of the building has no relationship within each other.

Throughout this project, one of my goal is to connect two existing buildings together, keeping the existing wall as a part of the site memory and connect two abandoned buildings together is part of my goal in this project.

This gallery center is located at the top of a mountain in the southern Utah. Throughout the project there are two objectives, first is to provide multiple views for the occupants because the site provides a spectacular 360-degree view, allow to see Utah famous historical park.

Second is to allow any occupants into the building and able to experience the views, including people with disability. At the middle of the ramp, user who are in a wheelchair will able to observe outside and his/her eyelevel will be same as the ground level, allows them to experience in a different perspective.

Vertical Farming

There are three million people living in Utah, by 2050, there will be 5.4 million which the population will nearly double in 33 years.

Currently, the state produces 3% of its fruit needs. 2% of its vegetable needs. People who are living in Utah want to significantly improve their selfsufficiency and food security by growing more food locally. Utah has one of the best land and climate for producing fruits and vegetables which is located along the Wasatch Front, where farms are currently being replaces by homes and businesses, as they have for many decades.

Year-round commercial tomato production

Throughout this mixed-use housing project, install a vertical farm to supply vegetables to the organic grocery store and restaurants on the ground level, the goal is to provide enough vegetables for the programs on the site. Vertical farming allows to produce crops year-round under controlled environment and able to provide a low price to the people since it is located in the building, therefore it reduces the transportation fees.
