Local Markets Markets have been an important feature of many towns for years, offering visitors fresh, seasonal produce and quality essentials, and local gems that aren’t available anywhere else. They also support local jobs and the local economy, which is more important now than ever. Fenland is committed to ensuring that our markets offer a safe environment for shoppers. Being outside in the fresh air offers a different experience to the supermarkets and traders have all taken steps to make those who visit feel safe and at ease. It is important to remember what good markets can contribute to town centres, often being at the heart of their communities. Markets are not only great for shoppers, but for traders too! They provide a low cost business opportunity for those with something to offer in a prime location. March Market is open every Wednesday and Saturday with Fridays being the market days in Chatteris and Whittlesey. We ask that all customers adhere to the Government guidance on social distancing and queue responsibly. You do not have to wear a face covering when visiting the market and shopping outside but you can choose to do so. So come along and support your local Market. See you there!
