Carrington Motors is a service and repair garage located on the outskirts of March.
It is owned by self-confessed ‘petrolhead’ Alan Carrington who moved to the town nearly four years ago. Alan has more than thirty-five years’ experience in the motor trade and moved to March from Waltham Abbey in Essex where he ran his own business for twelve years. • MOT Repairs • Servicing • Welding • Engine Diagnostics • Small Body Repairs • Used Car Sales The 61-year-old said: “I decided to move here because I wanted a fresh start and wanted to take things a little bit easier, although that has proved easier said than done. I am a petrolhead and I have got enough space here to house my collection of classic cars and motorbikes. If I’m not working in the garage, I’m usually tinkering with them.” He said his collection includes a Porsche Turbo, Lotus, Mini Cooper and Mitsubishi Evo 6. Carrington Motors can carry out service and repair work on most makes of vehicle and Alan also buys and sells cars and vans. Since being based at 1 Century Way, he has attracted a following of loyal customers despite never having advertised in the area. Alan said: “I’ve been working on cars for most of my life, full-time since 1993, so I can work on virtually all makes of car and also carry our MoT repairs.”
