1st Cambridgeshire Libraries bring you online events! A visual journey into the ‘Zone of Alienation’ around Chernobyl, the reactor complex, and the abandoned town of Pripyat. There’s a look at some of the issues surrounding the disaster. Disaster analysis was part of David Horan’s degree course and the opportunity to visit the site could not be turned down - it proved to be fascinating from both an engineering and a human point of view. For the past ten years, many libraries have held EngAGE sessions - a programme of talks and demonstrations, with a guest speaker. The audience for this programme is over-50s. Whist COVID 19 restrictions continue Cambridgeshire Libraries are bringing you ‘EngAGE Online’. These digital and interactive sessions will temporarily replace EngAGE events in libraries. 4th Mad Etiquette Presents Captain Cauliflower and Marvin

the Mischievous Moose at Furrowfields Recreation Ground, Chatteris - weather permitting. Social distancing will be observed, audience members must bring along their own picnic blanket and stay on that blanket. There is no charge but numbers are limited so please book a slot by emailing chatteriscouncil@btconnect.com or ringing 01354 695166. 8th Cambridgeshire Libraries bring you online events! ‘A good police force is one that catches more crooks than it employs’ - Sir Robert Mark GBE QPM, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, 1972-1977. Peter Murphy will be discussing his latest book ‘Verbal’ the newest title in the Ben Schroder series. Peter recommends reading Verbal before attending the session. 12th March Rotary Club collections for recycling of newspapers and magazines – City Road Car Park, March, 8.30am to 10.30am. Starting today and every second Saturday of the month thereafter.

12th-13th Due to Covid-19, Haddenham Steam Rally 2020 had to be cancelled. So, the organisers decided to have an online rally on their Facebook page where you can upload your photos of Haddenham rally from past years and also your exhibitors. Former St. Ives Town Mayor, Cllr. Tim Drye will be talking about his experience in office and how the Campaign Against Living Miserably was formed. 29th Cambridgeshire Libraries bring you online events! Dr Jackie Hall has been Cathedral Archaeologist at Peterborough since 2005, and at Southwark since 2016. Here, she will talk about what this involves, highlight some of the best features of 'her' cathedrals, and then show how an archaeological approach can add to our understanding of these buildings and places.
