Mother’s Day Competition Winner In our March issue, we asked you if you had a mum in a million and what it was that made her so special for you. The prize was for you and your mum to be spoilt at Lilli’s Tea Room and Cakery in Market Gate, Market Deeping, with one of their fabulous ‘Afternoon Tea for Two’ packages. The winning mum was Christine Bowers, whose daughter Carol assured us all that Christine is a “wonderful lady who always puts her family first.” Times have been difficult for Christine recently, acting as a full-time carer for several years for her husband, who sadly passed away last November. However, Carol’s love for her mum and her kind words meant that she and Christine were able to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea at Lilli’s and make the most of their Mother’s Day treat.
