EASTER EVENTS FOR FAMILIES AND CHILDREN SACREWELL FARM Peterborough

Easter Trail - Friday March 30th - Monday April 2nd 10am - 3pm - £3-50

Find 15 hidden eggs and once you’ve collected all the numbers (and spelt out the hidden words), say hello to the Easter Bunny in the mill garden and collect a chocolatey prize per trail. As well as the Easter Trail, you can meet the cade lambs at daily lamb shows and see the Lincoln Longwool, Texel cross and Jacob lambs in the lambing barn or in the fields with their mums. You can purchase the Easter Egg Trail and other activities alongside farm admission in reception.

OR HOW ABOUT – Breakfast with the Easter Bunny? Friday March 30th and Saturday March 31st : 9am – 10am OR - Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! Come and follow in the footsteps of the white rabbit on Thursday April 12th at 5.30pm. A Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, of course, needs mad hats,

so come dressed as your favourite characters from the Alice in Wonderland novel. There will be a Scavenger Hunt leading down to the Tea Party, where you can enjoy some tea and sweet treats before playing lawn croquet, alongside our themed activities.

Drive-in Movie Nights this Easter! March 30th – April 14th.

Experience this unique cinematic experience and enjoy some family favourite films. £10 per car, (advance booking only). Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase on site. BURGHLEY HOUSE Easter Egg Hunt - April 1st

The popular Burghley Easter Egg Hunt will once again be taking place in the Gardens of Surprise. Follow the treasure hunt around the Gardens of Surprise and solve the riddle to claim your full size chocolate egg from the Easter Bunny. Parents are also asked to test their Easter knowledge to try and win an afternoon tea in The Orangery Restaurant. All entries will go in to the prize draw for a giant chocolate Easter Bunny. Admittance is free of charge with a “House and Gardens” or “Gardens-only” ticket and is free to Friends of Burghley. Easter Craft Workshops - April 3rd – 13th - Have a go at some ‘eggs’cellent crafts, from decorated eggs to spring flowers. The workshops take place in the Sculpture Garden Classroom from 12pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday, (excluding Good Friday and Easter Monday). A day of fun and learning about the story of Moana. Understand the story, become the characters, learn the songs and put together a mini performance. £20.

APRIL 11th: Fairy Tales Gone Bad: (The true stories behind the happily-ever-after fairy tales). 11-30 am Grannylocks/The Monstrous Duckling, for 3yrs plus. Did you know that the ugly duckling was never ugly? He was truly monstrous! Or that Goldilocks was never a tale about a little girl? (45 minutes, no interval). £8, (£7). 2-30pm : Zombie-rella/ Blood Red Riding Hood, for 6yrs plus. Discover the true tale of Cinderella, (she dies and becomes a zombie), and Little Red Riding Hood, (with her axe and bloodstained cloak). £8, (£7).
