All year round dog friendly beaches Laugharne A sleepy and timeless sea town on the Taf estuary, made famous by poet Dylan Thomas where he once lived and, inspired by his surroundings, wrote many of his great works, including ‘Under Milk Wood’. Overlooking the estuary are the dramatic ruins of a Norman Castle. The craggy Cliffside walk that leads to Dylan Thomas’ boathouse is great for dogs on a lead (no more than 3 dogs per person) For those looking for a longer circular route, this walk with its dog friendly stiles and gates continues along the riverside past the boathouse and inland, bringing you back to Laugharne.

Ferryside The pretty coastal village of Ferryside looks across to Llansteffan and its commanding Norman Castle. No restrictions on dogs on this picturesque riverside beach so you can exercise your dog to its heart’s content while you lap up the scenery.

St. Ishmael The same as its neighbouring beach at Ferryside, St. Ishmael is a year round dog friendly beach.
