DIRTYWORD Issue 3
We’re back! Issue 3 has taken slightly longer to hit the virtual news stands this month as we’ve had to co-ordinate with the schedules of some exciting new contributors but I think you’ll agree, the wait has been worth it.
This issue we’re giving gamfication a grilling - it’s been touted as the next big thing in e-learning for long enough now and it’s time it started pulling its weight. I look at whether we even need gamification, whilst Jeff Campbell tells us we’ve been doing it wrong all this time.
And talking of next big things, Julien Ridden asks how we can ensure education authenticity, as AI invades our classrooms and takes a look at the best generative AI tools for educators.
Sooz Young tells us how she uses design thinking to scope and plan projects, Lewis Carr examines how we can build more secure learning platforms, Sam Harold is back with another Articulate Tutorial featuring a fortune-telling Zoltan machine and we feature more AI renditions of celebrities than you can shake a stick at.
All of this plus articles on xAPI, charging your worth, writing tenders, post-launch platform failure, project discovery, mobile apathy and using icons. Not to mention our regular comic, video game takeaway, Dr Carl and the news!
Phew...
Enjoy!
