M. Abdelilah BENKIRANE Chef du Gouvernement Head of the Government M. Abdelilah Benkirane est né en 1954 à Rabat. Le dirigeant du PJD, arrivé en tête des élections législatives du 25 novembre, a obtenu, en 1979, une licence en sciences physiques, avant d’enseigner à l’Ecole normale supérieure de Rabat. Porté quatre fois à la députation pour la ville de Salé, M. Benkirane a été élu secrétaire général du PJD en 2008, succédant au Dr. El Othmani. Le nouveau Chef du gouvernement, qui a rejoint la Chabiba Islamiya en 1976, était président du Mouvement «Réforme et Renouveau» et du Conseil national du PJD. Il était aussi directeur du journal «Al-Islah», «Ar-Raya» et «Attajdid». Il était également Directeur de trois journaux. M. Benkirane, qui est membre du Conseil supérieur de l’enseignement et ancien membre de la Commission spéciale éducation-formation, est marié et père de six enfants.
Mr. Abdelilah Benkirane, head of the government, whose members were appointed by HM King Mohammed VI, was born in 1954 in Rabat. The Secretary General of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), topped the parliamentary elections of November 25 with 107 seats, obtained, in 1979, a BA in physics, before teaching at the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Rabat. Elected four times as an MP, Benkirane was chosen as the PJD secretary general in 2008, succeeding Saad-Eddine El Othmani. The new prime minister, who joined the Chabiba Islamiya in 1976, was president of the «Reform and Renewal» Movement and the National Council of the PJD. He was also director of the newspaper «Al-Islah», «Ar-Raya» and «Attajdid». Benkirane, a member of the Board of Education and former member of the Special Commission for education and training, is married and a father of six children.

Cet originaire du Souss a été Vice-président de la Chambre des représentants (2007), Chef du groupe PJD (2003/2006) et président de la Commission de la Justice, de la Législation et des Droits de l’Homme (2002/2003). Membre du bureau exécutif du Mouvement unicité et réforme (MUR), il a été Directeur de publication du quotidien «Attajdid» et des publications «Al Islah» et «Arraya».
