In our July issue of the South Texas Catholic, we feature Monsignors Michael Howell, Lawrence White and Marcos Martinez who have been shepherds in the Diocese of Corpus Christi for nearly 50 years. All three priests have shown remarkable character and love for their Church. We also feature the ordination of Fathers Richard Gutierrez and Ramiro “RJ” Regalado, Jr. and their subsequent first Masses as priests in the diocese. In his monthly column, Bishop Michael Mulvey invites us to live out “ordinary time,” by being the first to love. In addition, we highlight three seminarians Michael Winterroth, Mark Valdez and Matthew Kyle, who are working at the Mother Teresa Shelter during their summer months.
