Hello, my name is John Corcoran and I have been a secondary school Maths Teacher for almost 20 years, including 6 years at Hampton College. As a Hampton resident, I am available to tutor students maths at GCSE level either at my house, or at your home.
GCSE MATHS TUITION
For us, it’s all about the student. We show them how they can overcome fears and challenges to their learning. Science & Maths Tutors started in 2014, delivering 1-1 tuition in secondary schools and in homes on a private basis. We have grown since then and now provide tuition at all levels including A-Level, GCSE, Functional Skills, KS3 and primary. Our tutors are DBS checked and trained to degree standard in their respective subjects. We deliver inspired teaching and exam
guidance to build up students to face exams confidently and knowledgeably. Tutors work at a sensible pace that is tailored to meet individual learning needs. We keep parents fully informed at every stage of the tuition and ensure their child’s learning is in safe hands. We provide first hand knowledge of practical science rather than just reiterating book knowledge.

My approach to tutoring is to identify weak areas through diagnostic testing and then focus on improving these areas. In addition to this, asking the student to identify areas which are causing issues and then to work through them, is key to building their confidence and development.
