Sherry L. Pfluger was born and raised in La Grange. She graduated from La Grange High School in 1983 and furthered her education at Southwest Texas State University, receiving a BBA Degree, majoring in Accounting in 1987. Sherry has two sons. Her oldest son, Hunter, graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Kinesiology. Her youngest son, Colt graduated from Texas State Technical College with an Associates Degree and two certifications in Diesel Mechanics. Sherry’s husband, James Pfluger is the Productions Foreman for John H. Young, Inc./Joy Resources. Her family enjoys sports, hunting, fishing and vacationing to beautiful beaches or magnificent mountains every chance they get! She began her banking career in 1981 and is currently the Senior Vice President/Lead Lender at Round Top State Bank in the La Grange. Sherry is an active member of the community, currently serving her third term as director of the Chamber of Commerce. She also has been on the Board of The La Grange Baseball Association for many years, helping to restore and renovate the historic ball park at the Fair Grounds. Sherry is also the Treasurer for the La Grange Noon Lions Club, a great service organization in our wonderful little town. Some of the other past Board positions she has held and organizations she is a member of includes: La Grange Booster Club Treasurer, La Grange Little League Player Agent, Sacred Heart Youth Leader, Catholic Daughters Association, and the Sacred Heart Altar Society. Being a part of the La Grange Chamber of Commerce has always been an important and fulfilling opportunity for her. Sherry really enjoys getting to know and to work with so many great leaders for the betterment of the community and success of the businesses in our thriving area. Debbie Kleiber moved from Madison, Wisconsin with her family to La Grange Texas in 1981. She is a graduate of La Grange High School and attended Blinn College graduating with an Associate’s Degree in General Business. Debbie worked for LCRA for 10 years before joining the staff at Kleiber Tractor & Equipment where she has been office manager for the last 22 years. She is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and currently a board member of the La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce. Debbie is married to David Kleiber and they have 2 daughters and 1 son. She enjoys spending time with her family including her 2 granddaughters, camping, boating and traveling with her family and friends.
Jessica James is second generation owner and CEO of three local businesses: Texas Rural Health Services, Centex Supply and Rentals and 710 Management. Texas Rural Health Services is a residential and vocational facility serving individuals with intellectual disabilities. Centex Supply and Rentals provides service crews and rental equipment for residential and commercial projects. They are currently celebrating our 25th year in business. Our newest entrepreneurial endeavor is related to tourism in the opening of Suite 244 Bed and Breakfast last year. She is a graduate of La Grange High School and received a BSBA in Business Management from Northern Arizona University. Prior to taking over the family businesses, Jessica had a 10-year career working for the United States Marine Corps. During that time, she held positions concentrated in management and training development assisting active duty and their families. She is actively involved in a range of community service and professional organizations. She is currently serving as a board member for Private Providers Association of Texas and Texas Women’s League. She is a member of the Noon Lions Club, La Grange Pilot Club, Second Baptist Church of La Grange and a First Impressions Team Leader. Jessica also is a Fayette County Leadership Graduate 2016.
