Building bright futures! Humble ISD is excited to provide the full-day PreKindergarten experience for four-year olds. The Pre-K program for the 2022-2023 school year will be available in 24 schools across the district and registrations are available throughout the school year. Enrollment in the Pre-K program is subject to meeting state eligibility criteria and campus locations are assigned once students qualify.

Eligibility Criteria To participate in the Pre-K program, a child must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2022, AND meet one of the following state criteria: • Limited English Proficiency: the child is unable to speak or comprehend the English Language (*Language other than English is spoken in the home/testing required) • Educationally Disadvantaged: the child would be eligible to participate in the National Free and Reduced Lunch Program (based on family’s gross income) • Homeless: the child is homeless • Child of an active duty member of the Armed Services of the United States • Child of a member of the Armed Services who was injured or killed while on active duty • Child has been under the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing • Child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award Pre-K is all about building relationships: developing social and emotional skills through play that will serve our students well their whole lives. It is focused on the developmental needs of our youngest learners.
