As Splendora ISD braces for tremendous growth over the next decade, the district’s efforts are focused on aligning our processes, procedures, and practices as we welcome new students and their families. We pride ourselves on the culture that we have built on the foundation of positive relationships and meaningful learning experiences. The district recently completed a demographic study that provided a projection for the next ten years, and we are anticipated to grow by over 8,000 students in the next decade. This growth presents many challenges, but also infinite possibilities and opportunities. In Splendora ISD, we want to ensure that every student is involved in something, and that every student has a positive, appropriate relationship with at least one adult on his or her campus. We believe that if we focus on valuing our students through personal connections and mentorships, as well as provide them an opportunity to display their talents, dreams, and passions, then our students will be engaged, motivated, and ready for their future. To that end, our school board is committed to providing necessary resources so that all students have a person and a place, and our Community Based Accountability System will allow our students, teachers, and campus principals to signal when they need to implement new practices or processes to ensure that student engagement remains our top priority. As the 21-22 school year comes to a close, we are so excited to send our Senior Class on to their next adventure in their lives, and to see our kindergarten students graduate on to first grade! The spring is always a busy time in public schools, and we are right in the middle of banquet and awards season, and we couldn’t be prouder of our students for the success they are experiencing, or more impressed with our staff for supporting them in these endeavors. We are excited about what the future holds for Splendora ISD. The future is bright and promises to be busy, exciting, and full of new opportunities. Please join us for the ride!
