Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in collaboration with the Catholic Diocese of Calgary on April 9 invited the public to attend an Interfaith Conference on the Life of Jesus. The free event welcomed all regardless of their beliefs and affiliation and dinner to be included. The event was well attended including Filipino’s, Chinese,Caribbeans,Africans,Punjabi, mainstream public, Latins
and a very warm welcome from the Muslim attendees and their volunteers. The conference was held at Baitun Nur Mosque with Muslim and Christian speakers. The Moderator was Councillor Ray Jones, City of Calgary and Muslim Missionary speakers from Ahmadiyya Jama’at were Mr. Taha Syed, Mr. Shahrukh Abid and from the Catholic Diocese Chancellor Mr. Adrian Martens, and His Excellency Mr. Frederick Henry, Bishop of Calgary. Opening remarks from Coun-
cillor Ray Jones spoke about what happened in Brussels is not what the Muslim faith is all about and those responsible do not represent any religion and true Muslim followers and their families have the same goals to live in harmony and care about the community they live in. All the speakers were excellent and informative information was available and the conference gave many attending to understand each other. The Theme was Love for All Hatred for None.
