Hacia la Soberanía Alimentaria a Través del Trabajo Conjunto: Diaconia, Municipios y Pobladores. El proyecto Tierra Sana y Soberana - TSS, viene trabajando de forma conjunta con las Municipalidades de Coris, Aija y La Merced, para ello se han firmado convenios tripartitas donde tanto el Proyecto, La Municipalidad y el agricultor beneficiario participan. A lo largo del proyecto se viene apoyando a 50 familias en la mejora del uso del recurso hídrico (agua) para ello se ha construido 11 reservorios rústicos en los distritos de Coris, La Merced, Aija para el año 2013 se proyecta terminar las instalaciones de sistema de riego por aspersión, con el objetivo de regar pastos mejorados (alfalfa y rey gras) para la alimentación de los animales menores y mayores.
Working towards Food Sovereignty through Joint Work with Diaconal, municipalities and community members The Healthy and Sovereign Land project is working in a joint manner with the municipalities of Coris, Aija and La Merced. Tripartite agreements have been signed between the project, the municipality and the farmer-beneficiary. Throughout the project, 50 families have been supported to improve the use of water resources. Eleven simple reservoirs have been built in the districts of Coris, La Merced and Aija and in 2013 plans exist to finish the installation of the irrigation sprinkler system with the objective of watering the improved pastures (alfalfa and king grass) that serves as food for the large and small animals.
Una de las municipalidades más participativa es la Municipalidad de Coris, que no sólo ha construido 7 reservorios sino también ha realizado la instalación de Pastos mejorados otorgando el 50% de semillas a los beneficiarios. Cabe resaltar que el Alcalde y su Equipo Municipal siempre están presentes en los eventos de talleres de capacitación, seguimiento en campo y fortalecimiento.
The Coris Municipality is one of the most participative. Not only has it built 7 reservoirs, but it has also installed improved pasture, providing 50% of the seeds to the beneficiaries. It is worth noting that the Mayor and the municipal team are always present in the training workshops, monitoring in the countryside and strengthening events.
La construcción de estos reservorios le permite tener agua durante todo el año, asegurar su producción y contar con alimentos logrando así su seguridad y soberanía alimentaria.

El promotor Franklin Aguilar Maguiña del comité Agro Ecológico de Marqui del Distrito de Coris nos dijo: Mi meta es dedicarme a la crianza de cuy, mi familia y yo, estamos trabajando en forma organizada, todos vivimos aquí en la casa de mis padres y todos participamos en el proyecto Tierra Sana y Soberana, desde que llegó este proyecto con la ayuda de la municipalidad de Coris hemos venido capacitándonos en temas de manejo de agua y conservación de suelos, yo tengo filtros de agua que se estaban perdiendo por que no sabíamos cómo utilizarlo, solo regábamos con inundación (gravedad) pero gracias al proyecto y a la Municipalidad hemos podido construir
The promoter Franklin Aguilar Maguiña from the Marqui agroecological committee from the Coris district stated: My goal is to work raising guinea pigs. My family and I are participating in the Healthy and Sovereign Land project since it arrived with the support from the Coris Municipality. We have been learning about issues of water management and soil conservation. I have water filters that were being misused since we did not know how to utilize them. We only watered by (gravitational) flooding. But thanks to the project and the municipality, we have been able to build these reservoirs and accumulate water and it is no longer
