OUR STORY

Leaders in White Burgundy since 1926
Cave de Lugny has nearly 100 years experience in producing the finest unoaked Chardonnay from the Mâconnais
Founded in 1926, Cave de Lugny is a cooperative of grower families that controls more than 200 estates and over 3,100 acres of vineyards throughout the Mâconnais region of Burgundy.
All our wines are 100% estate grown and bottled, unlike many top White Burgundy brands which are produced by negociants.
In fact, the top two White Burgundy brands source some of their Mâcon-Villages wine from us.*
Cave de Lugny controls approximately 1/3rd of the total production of the Mâconnais, making us one of the leading White Burgundy producers.
Mâcon is a subregion of Burgundy, best known as a source of great value white wines made from the Chardonnay grape. The limestone soil in the region is perfect for growing this varietal.
