A WINE like no other, from A PLACE like no other.
Michel has worked with more than 200 wineries across 21 countries, and is one of the most famous and well-respected consulting winemakers in the world.
Originally from Bordeaux, Michel Rolland is widely recognized and praised for his master blending skill. He has a unique ability to taste and quickly distinguish which component wines will blend well together.
After two years of search, in 1998, Michel discovered a special plot of land located at the foot of the Andes Mountains in the Uco Valley.
In his first trips to Argentina, Michel immediately fell in love with the country’s beautiful landscape, atmosphere, culture, and its fantastic wine growing potential. Michel decided to become a grower in Argentina and was determined to find the perfect location to plant vines of his own.
The chosen land comprised of a unique combination of high altitude, well drained soils, optimal aspect, and dry climate.
Michel was certain that this site would be ideal for growing a variety of Bordeaux grapes, particularly Malbec.
Michel and six Bordelaise friends created the “vineyard of seven,” Clos de los Siete.
Michel hand-picked 6 French winemaking families from Bordeaux to purchase the large plot of land, creating some of the first wineries in the now famed Uco Valley.
After more than 20 years, four families continue to contribute wines from their respective plots of lands to create the Clos de los Siete Blend.
The result is four individual wineries that are involved in the C7 winemaking process each vintage: Monteviejo, Cuvelier Los Andes, DiamAndes, and Bodega Rolland.

Due to the proximity of the Andes Mountains, there is almost no humidity in the valleys, protecting grapes from many diseases.
High altitude generates wide temperature swings, allowing grapes to slowly ripen with great concentration.
High sunlight hours ensure grape ripening each vintage, resulting in full flavor.
Our vineyards are irrigated with the purest snow melt from the Andes Mountains.
Our soil is made up of gravel, sand and clay, which allows for great drainage to produce premium quality grapes.
Clos de los Siete proudly upholds exceptionally high-quality standards for winemaking.
This Malbec-driven blend is a combination of Bordeaux grapes sourced from the Clos de los Siete vineyards and is true to its Argentinian terroir. Each grape brings unique flavor and characteristics to the ultimate blend. The varietal composition of the final blend changes every year, making each vintage of C7 especially unique.

Only the best grapes are manually harvested from each of the four individual wineries that make up the C7 estate. Grapes are manually sorted twice by hand.
Each individual winery utilizes all gravity transport without pumping. Grapes go through cold pre-fermentation maceration and are then matured for 11 months in 70% French oak and 30% in vat, with no fining nor filtration.
Blends are created at each winery independently before ultimately blended together by Michel Rolland. Every year, Michel visits each winery, tasting the individual blends and chooses the best components that will then be used for the ultimate C7 blend.
