NEW APPOINTMENTS

As part of our preparations for the SSE Airtricity League season, Dundalk Football Club has appointed three new full-time employees since the turn of the new year, David Minto, Aaron Lawless and Gavin McLaughlin. In his new role as Chief Business Officer, David will manage the club’s commercial operations while Aaron, who has assumed the Project Manager position, has a wide remit, covering operational, community and commercial areas. David is well known at Oriel Park. Having carried out a number of voluntary roles at the club over the past number of years, he was also the Business Development Manager at the club’s former kit manufacturer, CX+Sport. He also spent more than a decade with Horseware Ireland and Riverside Manufacturing. After leaving DkIT with a degree in Marketing, Aaron – a former Student Union President –

spent time as a Marketing Research Executive at Intact Software and has been the Marketing Promotions Coordinator for Ridley’s Nightclub for the past three years. Their appointments come almost a month after Gavin McLaughlin was installed as the club’s new Media Content Officer. Gavin is a highly respected local sports journalist who has covered Dundalk FC for many years. Having studied Communications and Creative Multimedia at DkIT, he was the Sports Editor of the Dundalk Democrat for five years before establishing the Dundalk Sport website. He has, of course, written five outstanding books covering the success of Dundalk FC between 2013-2019. The appointment of all three is a further example of the club’s desire to strengthen its off-the-field activities over the months and years ahead.
