emissions compared to 1990 levels. But there is an easy way to make a difference. Quickly. With EuroAd you can decrease CO2 emissions from your oil combustion and actively help to make our world cleaner, while also saving money and gaining health benefits.


SIMPLE AND ingenious EuroAd is a vegetable combustion improver that delivers more energy at the same time as it reduces emissions and have a positive impact on maintenance. It can be added to both liquid fossil fuel and biofuel, and works with combustion engines and burners. The results are always the same: reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions and less maintenance required. And thus, of course, saved costs.

EXTRACT MORE energy Regular use of EuroAd reduces fuel consumption by an average of 4-10 percent depending on base-fuel, type and age of vehicle/heating equipment, exhaust after­treatment system, and maintenance. The economic benefits – through reduced maintenance, allowances and longer service life – are clearly in line with, or greater than, the reduced consumption. The explanation is simple. A more efficient combustion process increases energy production, thereby helping to reduce fuel consumption. Our 100 percent vegetable product EuroAd improves this process and increases energy output from the fuel. EuroAd has been carefully tested and well documented. Thanks to independent studies, we know that EuroAd works exactly the way we promise and that it will not damage engines, fuel systems or other parts in either the short or the long term.

reduced EMISSIONS Reducing harmful exhaust emissions means a cleaner world and a healthier environment for humans. It’s that simple. EuroAd reduces some harmful exhaust emissions by 50-75 percent on average. It also ensures more complete combustion, allowing us to extract more energy from the fuel and forming fewer residual products, which greatly reduces harmful exhaust emissions. Due to the fact that just one litre of EuroAd treats as much as 32,000 litres of fuel, our product also generates relatively low emissions during transport from the factory. It also takes up little storage space at your site.

ULRIK ÖSTMAN is on his way to Oskarshamn in southern Sweden, a distance of around 1,000 kilometres. The bright yellow DHL colours ensure his truck is clearly visible on the road. Ulrik himself drives one of the haulage company’s five trucks that serve the Umeå – Oskarshamn route. All the company’s vehicles have been using EuroAd fuel additive for several years now.   “I’ve been along on this journey since the product was introduced in Sweden,” says Ulrik Östman. “We now use EuroAd in all our trucks, old and new.”   Ulrik Östman took over the haulage company from his father in 1989. The company is now called Ulrik Östmans åkeri and it has been making regular deliveries for the logistics company DHL for 25 years. The deliveries follow a set route, which makes it easy to monitor fuel consumption and vehicle performance.   “I monitor fuel consumption very closely,” he says. “Once a month I check how many times the trucks have refuelled and compare this with the distance they have covered.”   When Ulrik first tried out EuroAd it was on vehicles that had already been on the road for a few years, so he had fuel consumption figures for comparison. It turned out that fuel consumption fell by

around 2 litres per 100 kilometres from the day they began using the additive. But it was not just the fuel consumption that persuaded Ulrik.   “We also see a big difference in the way the trucks run. My staff noticed the difference immediately when we started using EuroAd and asked what we had done to the vehicles to improve their performance so much. We also see a difference when we do oil changes. Before, the oil was always cloudy. Now it looks almost fresh. The additive helps to remove dirt and reduce wear.”   DHL has been the biggest customer of Ulrik Östmans åkeri for the past 25 years. But the haulage company also makes other, shorter runs in the region around its home base.   All the vehicles use EuroAd fuel additive. The additive is added in liquid form during refuelling. It is a system that works well for a company of this size. And Ulrik plans to continue using EuroAd.   “Even though it’s difficult to measure the exact financial benefit, which is usually the deciding factor in this type of situation, the impression I get from our figures is that it’s good – good for the environment, good for the company, good for the vehicles and good for those of us who drive them. So I plan to carry on using it.”

a greener choice WITH EUROAD

SWEA ENERGI is an oil company which supplies heating oil to companies, municipalities and organisations. They also sell diesel and lubricants to haulage contractors, farmers and construction companies. Jesper Nilsson has been Sales Manager since 2012. He is responsible for the sales of all Swea’s products, as well as for 50 of the total 65 employees.   “Three years ago, EPS got in touch with us. They had a fantastic product they wanted to sell”, he explains.   That fantastic product was the fuel additive, EuroAd, and Swea Energi quickly realised how unique it is: It saves fuel and emits cleaner exhaust.   “We were really interested and saw that it offered massive opportunities. You can buy diesel and diesel oil anywhere, and we have been looking for some way of setting ourselves apart from the competition for years, by offering our customers something unique”.   Swea Energi carried out its own tests of the product, and decided that they preferred to blend it themselves rather than purchase the actual additive. So the company created its own product line, SweaX, with all products containing EuroAd.   “This means that we have full control of the blending process, and SweaX complies with the standard

for Swedish fuel. It is blended directly in the tanker during loading”.   Currently, fifteen percent of Swea Energi’s heating oil and diesel contains EuroAd. The target is twenty five percent within the next year.   “Our strongest incentive is the financial savings, and that is very much the case for haulage contractors as well. Of course, it also provides excellent environmental benefits, along with a more reliable ignition. The fuel ignites twenty percent faster with EuroAd added, which makes it more efficient”.   Jesper gives us a specific example from the town of Gävle, in the middle of a freezing winter.   “It was fully 20 degrees Celsius below zero. The buses started first turn of the key, despite the cold”.   EuroAd has made a real difference for Swea Energi.   “We now stand out from the crowd in the market, with a totally new product. This has enabled us to successfully target totally new customer categories. Customers in Sweden are now realising that it is possible to improve fuels, not just engines”.   Jesper Nilsson is delighted with the collaboration with EPS.   “They are really easy to work with. We can contact them directly, and they provide whatever help we need immediately”.

STUDY OF INJECTION – FUEL WITH AND WITHOUT EUROAD These pictures and illustrations from inside a diesel engine compare the ignition, with and without EuroAd, in different camshaft angles. EuroAd is improving the dispersion of the diesel droplets, making the necessary fuel-mist evolve much quicker and more efficient. This is also shown in the Lund-report, which stated that the ignition is 20 percent quicker. (See next spread.) EuroAd thus provides a faster and more complete combustion, as the mist is much easier to combust than the big droplets. It is the late droplets that creates the soot. So with EuroAd added, there will be less soot left after combustion.

// T HE LUND STUDY STUDY OF THE IGNITION PROCESS The top 100 university*, Lund University, made a study of the ignition process – with and without EuroAd – in winter temperatures. The pictures show an example of the ignition process when fuel (RME), with and without EuroAd are injected in conditions equivalent to cold start. You can see that, for example, when the crankshaft has rotated 15°, after commencement of injection, fuel with EuroAd ignites earlier than fuel without EuroAd at the same time.

IMPORTANT CONCLUSIONS CAN BE DRAWN

Not only does RME with EuroAd ignite 20 percent earlier, it also displays less variation between the cycles. In other words, the EuroAd premium fuel, provices quicker, more stable ignition than ordinary RME. Finally, in conditions that correspond to an engine at operating temperature, RME with EuroAd reduces soot formation more.

RESULTS • The fluctuation in engine seed decrease extremely. • In the low-load range and especially in the full-load range the difference in fuel consumption were remarkable. Generally speaking the measured results are relevant mainly for electronically regulated engines. Mechanically regulated engines need more time to realize changes in revolution so that the stated improvements are not so relevant.

A conclusion in favor of premium products with EuroAd • The measured results mean that industrial engines can regulate the optimal rpm more quickly as the fuel combustion is more effective. Therefore the required rpm can be achieved in a shorter period of time (less clattering “knocking“ of the engine). • The premium product with EuroAd produces less unburned fuel while readjusting the rpm leading to fuel savings. • A more stable full-load operating is therefore also guaranteed. Electronical failures are removed as the rpm remain stable with the premium product that includes the EuroAd additive.

Boliden Rönnskär, located in northern Sweden, is one of the world's most efficient copper smelters. The plant receives deliveries of copper and lead concentrates from its own mines and from external suppliers.

A test was carried out at the site in 2015, with and without EuroAd in various types of fuel, oil and diesel. Regardless of fuel, significant reductions in oil consumption, lower emissions and more stable fire conditions were noted.
