Class of 1983 Annual Tiger Game Reunion Fundraiser The Class of 1983 gathered at Comerica Park on August 22, 2012, for their annual Tiger Game Reunion and Endowment Fundraiser. Class captain, Nick Merucci ’83, organized the event that was very well attended. The event is not only a reunion, but it is a fundraiser for the Class of 1983 Endowment which supplements tuition assistance each year. For a list of those present, please see the photo caption. Shamrocks in Houston The 1st annual Houston Reunion was held on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas. St. Thomas is a Basilian-operated high school in Houston near the Basilian-operated University of St. Thomas. Newly appointed President, Fr. Jeff Thompson, C.S.B., and Mike Carrier ’06 traveled to Houston to engage the alumni living in and around the Houston area. The reunion consisted of Mass concelebrated by Fr. Thompson and Fr. Patrick Fulton, C.S.B., the Principal of St. Thomas, and a light reception afterward for the 25 people in attendance. This is the second reunion hosted annually in Texas. Each July there is a CC reunion in Frisco near Dallas. With approximately 200 alumni living in Texas, these reunions allow many alumni to stay connected with their alma mater.
