Jessica is an author and freelance writer with a background in broadcast communications. She loves to play with words and would truly excel as an editor if she could just accept that putting two spaces after a period was no longer correct. She cannot and will not accept that. She lives in Swift Current, Saskatchewan in a jungle of houseplants with her family and small canine overlord.

As the driving force behind Three Strands Wedding Design and the SW Wedding Expo here in southwest Saskatchewan, Kirstin knows more than a thing or two about weddings. As a wedding planner by day she spends her time sharing all that knowledge with couples as they navigate the world of vendors, venues and deposits so what better next step than creating a publication to bring that all together?

Right now Kirstin is launching the third annual SW Wedding Expo while she takes time away from us here at Details to soak up some maternity leave with her newest sweetheart. This leaves me, Candace, unattended and excited to write this bio for her full of glowing praise that she won’t be able to change!

Love, happiness, petals and lace... if you asked me to name the thing I love most about weddings, you would be in for quite the conversation because I couldn’t choose just one.

This Saskatchewan based wedding magazine is our way of sharing the many beautiful, original, and outstanding options Saskatchewan has to offer local brides & grooms. So let’s make 2021 a year of collaboration and bring out the best in one another - both vendors and couples.

River hails from the prairies. Their house is decorated with the finest of bric-a-brac and antimacassers from travels across Canada with their pet flamingo, Roderigo. River's closet boasts an unnatural amount of neon which goes well with their appreciation of fine wine (the kind that comes in a box with a convenient valve).

River is a wealth of knowledge and has graciously agreed to write our advice column, stating simply that everyone should have the wedding of their dreams.

Hello from all of us here at Details Wedding Magazine! This publication has been created out of a love for love in all shapes and sizes. We want to appeal to all genders and age groups across this beautiful province bringing advice and information to you, the reader. We are so happy that your search for wedding vendors has led you here to us.

The B&V wedding photography team has two halves Candace Schwartz (me here at the keyboard right now), the full time face behind the daily operations, and Matthew Jarrett a skilled cabinet maker operating under his full time business EmJay Reno & Repair. He also happens to be the best photographer I know, which means that our wedding packages include two lead photographers working together year after year.

We’ve been shooting weddings in Saskatchewan since

2018 together, and each of those beautiful couples has taught us a little more about ourselves and this industry we love so much. We take those lessons and channel them into continued education, upgrading equipment, and improving the experience we provide going forward. This year one of those changes led to us offering a smaller elopement package for those who want to keep things simple and intimate. PIZZAZZ RENTALS DECORATOR My name is Jackie Maffenbeier and I'm the head vision builder for Pizzazz Rentals! I literally have anything and everything you could possibly wish to rent. Tents, lighting, linens, backdrops, centrepieces, tableware, tables, chairs and on and on.

I got into this as a fun hobby years ago as our children got married, friends had anniversaries, towns had fundraisers and homecomings and corporate friends had some sort of celebration or education event occurring. My daughter finally said to me one day, "Mom, you need to get rid of some of this stuff or you need to start a business!" So, I started Pizzazz Rentals!

I feel alive when I get to help others create something special for their wedding or event. People usually come with a rough idea of what they might need. They leave with a true visual and filled with excitement for their special day. Pizzazz Rentals is a one stop, creative hub and practical use business that truly helps you create an event that wows!
