Το Ζαχαρί Φόρεμα Κάποτε θα γίνω ένα ζαχαρί φόρεμα. Θα φτάνει μέχρι τον αστράγαλο να παρασέρνει όσα μου στέρησε η γη. Θα ’ναι πλουμιστό με λεπτομέρειες και λίθους, επενδυμένο από μετάξι και αρώματα ακριβά. Θα φορεθεί σε επετείους και γιορτές, θα το χορέψουν χέρια κάτασπρα σε ακριβά σαλόνια. Θα φτάσει ήσυχα γεράματα στην κυανή ακτή και στο νησί του ονείρου. Σε σιντριβάνια πέτρινα, σε κήπους με λεβάντες θ’ απλωθεί. Θ’ αφήσει πίσω του βελόνια και κλωστές, σύριγγες και ναφθαλίνες, μα μέσα στον ποδόγυρο ραμμένα πάντοτε θα κρύβει γιατρικά παρηγοριάς. Ανάμνηση αλλοτινή, μα πάντα εντός μου. Κάποτε θα γίνω ένα ζαχαρί φόρεμα.

natural environment in association with human’s need for structure and purpose, present in the geometry and linear lines that contain and ‘tame’ these patterns within the work.

The title of the exhibition (Camouflage) derives from the combination of these patterns and coloration in the work, referring to a phenomenon initially found in nature, posing questions around identity and the ‘sense of belonging,’ when comparing oneself with their surroundings.

The connection of memory to spatiality establishes a distinct sphere through which past experiences are recalled, considering the relationship, interconnection and interaction one has with their surrounding environment.

The context in which memories are shaped, whether social, cultural or geographical, holds a protagonistic role in the processes that generate these experiences, providing body and dimension for such immaterial notions of existence.
