FOR CELEBRATION OF BAPTISM 1. Your family should be registered with the parish in order to have your child baptized.

2. If this is your first child, you must attend a baptism preparation class before receiving a date for your baby’s baptism. Call the Parish Office to sign up for the class. Classes are held on the 1st Monday of the month.

3. Call the Parish Office to schedule a date for your child’s baptism.

Liturgical Ministries ALTAR LINEN LAUNDRY HELP NEEDED We are blessed at St. Peter & St. Paul to have as many Masses as we have during the week and also on the weekend. But we do need help with the washing and ironing of the Purificators, and Corporals that are used during the Mass. Please consider offering your help. Please remember in your prayers, the following people who are seriously ill and others who are suffering with long-term or terminal illnesses:

Please note that if you wish to have a family member or friend’s name included with the petition for the sick which is read at weekend Masses, you must call the parish office by 9 AM on Friday. Your loved one’s name will automatically be added into the sick list in the bulletin the following weekend. If you add a loved one’s name to the petition when you come to Mass, please follow up with a phone call to the parish office on Monday so the name may be included with the sick list in the bulletin.

In the interest of keeping our sick list current, the first weekend in August we will remove names put on prior to July 1st, unless we hear from you or a family member that you wish a name to remain on the list. Call the Office, 630-355-1081, to add, remove or keep a name on the sick list. Any names received after 9 AM on Friday will be included in the following weekend’s prayers.

Pray With Us ROSARY Come pray with us each Tuesday evening in the Church beginning at 7:30 PM. With our Rosaries, we will ask Our Lady to intercede for our Holy Father’s special intention of the month, as well as for our own intentions and for world peace without the threat of terrorism. On the third Tuesday of the month, there will be a Rosary Holy Hour with Benediction. All are most welcome to join us. St. Francis Chapel of Eucharistic Adoration Flame of Faith Candles Six candles burn perpetually around the Blessed Sacrament in our St. Francis Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. The burning candles serve as a constant prayer before the Lord, present in the Blessed Sacrament. We will host a Men’s Evening of Recollection Monday, July 28th, from 7:30 to 9:15 PM in the Church. The evening includes two meditations and time for quiet prayer followed by Benediction. Following Hannah –Infertility Support Group for Catholic Women The Following Hannah Support Group is for Catholic women experiencing difficulty beginning their families due to primary infertility. Bike for Life - Sept. 6th.

The Bike for Life event will be Sat. Sept. 6th at 9am. The event will start out in front of Planned Parenthood at 3051 East New York street and proceed by bicycle to the Randy Morris IVF clinic in downtown Naperville located at Washington and Benton.

There will be a Rosary and a Divine Mercy chaplet recited at each facility. After the event, we will have lunch at Jimmy's grill on Washington. No reservation is necessary. Celebrate Life Banquet (Nov. 15th) Naperville Council 1369 will be holding its 3rd annual "Celebrate Life Banquet" on November 15th, 2014 at 6:15pm. The event will be held at the Naperville Marriot (Naperville Road and Diehl in Naperville). Sheila Liaugminas from Relevant Radio will will be the Key speaker. This year, the Naperville Big Band will be performing at the event. The Naperville Big Band performs every summer at central park. They will feature Big Band, Jazz and popular music. The Big band consists of 20 members and will feature 2 singers, a piano, drums, a base guitar, and a whole lot of brass. The banquet is being held to raise money for The Waterleaf Women's center in Aurora and the Father Michael J. McGivney Center for Hope and Healing in Chicago. ELIZABETH MINISTRY As Mary went in haste to visit her cousin Elizabeth who was with a child to help and comfort her, so does our Elizabeth Ministry for all those who are in need. If you have experienced infertility, loss of a pregnancy, an infant or child death, you are not alone, many of our parish families have experienced the same and the Elizabeth Ministry would like to help you through it. On the other hand, if you are expecting for the first time, or you are new parents who just had a baby or adopted a child, the Elizabeth Ministry would like to celebrate with you and offer our services to you.

Christian Service Happenings Naperville Triathlon to benefit Waterleaf Women’s Center Three parishioners from SSPP, Susan and Scott Bentley and Mary Beth Zabinski have joined a fundraising group called Triathletes for the Unborn. We are a team that participates in triathlons to raise funds for local crisis pregnancy centers.

This summer, we will be racing in the Naperville Triathlon on August 10 to raise money for our beneficiary, Waterleaf Women’s Center in Aurora. As pro-life advocates, it is our responsibility to ensure that needy pregnant women have easily-accessible support. Waterleaf offers comprehensive support to women facing a crisis pregnancy. They are located very near the Planned Parenthood center in Aurora, which allows them to intercept many women who are seeking an abortion.

We are accepting monetary donations now through August 24th. Every donation is tax-deductible and even $5 would help support this mission. Our team goal is to raise $5000…will you help us? Around Town and Beyond SAVE THE DATE - Women’s Retreat Join us this Fall for our first Women’s Retreat at The Bellarmine Jesuit Retreat House in Barrington, IL October 3-5, 2014.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for women to step away from the busyness of life and be renewed by spending a weekend with God. The retreat will be based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Volunteers Needed at the Dominican Literacy Center Tutors are needed at the Dominican Literacy Center in Aurora.

The Center is a literacy program for immigrant/low income women. Female volunteers (who have finished high school) help individual students to read, write and speak English.

Tutoring sessions are for 90 minutes, once a week at 260 Vermont St., Aurora, IL - behind St. Therese Church. All volunteers must attend training at the Center. The next training is August 19, 21,26 and 28 from 6:00- 8:30 P.M. It is necessary to attend all sessions. You do not need to speak Spanish in order to tutor. The Center is not handicap accessible.
