March 20, 2013 Dear Parent/Guardian of a Confirmation Student, Next year, your son/daughter will be entering their final year of Confirmation preparation. One of the major components of preparation is the Confirmation retreat. In the past, these retreats were scheduled on a Saturday at the beginning of the school year. This year, based on feedback we received from families and due to the many commitments that occur in September, these mandatory retreats will be offered over the summer. The Confirmation retreats will be led by Father Thomas Loya and will take place at Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church in Homer Glen. The retreats will begin with 8:00 AM Mass here at Saints Peter & Paul, followed by Reconciliation. We will then travel to Annunciation, returning here around 3:30 PM. Please fill out the attached form with your first, second and third choice of retreat dates and return it, along with a signed permission slip, by Friday, April 12, 2013 to the Religious Education Office. Slots will be assigned on a first-come basis and are limited to 60 students per retreat, so the sooner you return the forms, the more likely you will be to get your first choice. The cost for the retreat is included in your Confirmation fee (paid at registration). We will need additional chaperones, so if you are available, please fill in that portion of the attached form and you will be contacted. You will be notified by email once your student has been assigned to a retreat. Additional details will be sent by email a couple of weeks before the assigned date so please provide us with a valid email address that you check regularly.
