A young artist has taken her first step into the art world, selling her very first painting at Deli@Keynsham.
Gabriela (age five), was initially unsure about displaying her artwork at Deli@Keynsham, worried whether anyone would buy it. However, with encouragement from her mother and brother, she decided to take the leap and showcase her talent.
"It was important to me to support Gabriela and help build her self-confidence," said her Mother. "I wanted her to feel proud of her work and know that her talent is something worth sharing. As a Mum, I always ensure that Gabriela has the opportunity to express herself through painting Art is such a powerful way for children to process and share their emotions, and I believe it helps her grow not just creatively, but emotionally as well”
Her decision to display her artwork paid off when the painting found a new home, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting creative journey.
It's a reminder that with encouragement, even the youngest can achieve big things and continue pursuing their passions.

Keynsham Town Council recently launched its Community Piano Project at the Winter Festival. The launch event was made even more special as internationally recognised pianist Nurry Lee was the first to perform on the piano, captivating the crowd with her performance
“The Community Piano brings music to the heart of Keynsham and offers residents and visitors the opportunity to play and enjoy live music in a shared public space,” said Katherine Sears, Deputy Town Clerk of Keynsham Town Council. “It’s a wonderful addition to the community, encouraging creativity and bringing people together through music We hope it will inspire both budding and experienced musicians alike” The piano, generously donated by Mickleburgh Musical Instruments of Bristol, has been transformed into a stunning piece of public art by local artist Nick from Olas Art, whose vibrant spray-painted design ensures it stands out in a crowd
The Town Council is also grateful to Wild About Flowers, who has kindly given the piano a temporary courtyard home, providing a welcoming space for people to enjoy it. The hope is to move the piano around Keynsham when weather permits, allowing even more people to experience the joy of spontaneous music-making.
Finally, Keynsham Town Council would also to extend a heartfelt thank you to local residents, Simon Hazelwood and Chris Unsworth White, who helped turn the Community Piano Project dream into a reality
