Live Auction

• Your bid number is located on your name tag and your bid paddle. Please use this number for the LIVE AUCTION.

• To bid on an item, raise your bid card high in the air. Spotters throughout the room will recognize your bid and bring it to the attention of the auctioneer. Don’t be shy!

• Acceptance of the high bid becomes a binding obligation to purchase. The auctioneer will announce the close of bidding and your bid number will be recorded.

• For quick and easy checkout, register your credit card online here. All card information is encrypted upon entry. If no purchases are made, no charge will be made on your card.

Post-Event Procedures

• All payments must be made in full prior to or at item pick up either by check payable to Denver Academy or credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express). If you are the highest bidder on any items that are taxable, the tax amount will be added to your invoice.

• All guests who win a bid will receive an email invoice.

• Event charges will be processed against registered credit cards after the close of the event. It may take several days before charges appear on your credit card account.

• If you have questions about your invoice or feel you were charged in error, email lhill@denveracademy.org.

• Item pick up will occur on Thursday, May 1, between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Denver Academy Administration Building.

General

• ALL SALES ARE FINAL. There will be no exchanges on items except where specified. Please note specifications, expiration dates, and limitations carefully before bidding on an item. Items not used will not be refunded.

• All services, trips, gift certificates, parties, and similar items must be used within one year of the event unless otherwise noted and are subject to availability.

• Taxes, tips, and alcoholic beverages are generally not included in restaurant gift certificates.

• Every attempt has been made to describe the auction items correctly, but all items are sold “as is” with no warranties expressed or implied. No statement contained online or made orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed to be such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability. By purchasing, the buyer waives any claim for liability against either Denver Academy or the donor of the property or services and neither Denver Academy nor the donor of the property or services is responsible for any personal injury or damages to the property that may result from the utilization of property or services sold.

• If an item is sold for more than the fair market value, the difference between the purchase price and the fair market value is deductible as a donation. Where it is not possible to establish a fair market value for one-of-a-kind items, the purchase price will be presumed to be the fair market value, and no part of the payment will be considered a contribution. Please consult your financial advisor.

• Neither Denver Academy, the venue, nor any agents associated with the Gala, shall assume responsibility for items not claimed.
