Life & Fashion Magazine was created in 2013 by Denny Silva, Angel Guadalupe and Paula Silva. Both Angel and Denny have been photographers for over 10 years and have photographed fashion events such as The New York Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Couture Fashion Week, Brazilian Film Festival and Latin Shows such as the “Premios Gruperos�. They have also photographed arts expos at the UN (United Nations), and photographed and directed music videos for some Latin artists. Both members of the APA (American Press Association). Angel Guadalupe is specialized in photography, videography and interviewing and Denny Silva specialized in the photography and press contact. Also member of the magazine is the photographer Rodrigo Oliveira. Not only is Paula Silva one of the owners of the magazine, she is also the managing director and responsible for the legal and marketing part of the magazine. Oksana Tanasov Oksana Tanasiv is UkrainianAmerican Fashion Artist. Her passion for art was ignited as a young child when, while only four hears old, she received her first paint brush from her father. In the early 90’s, she had the opportunity to formerly develop her talent by attending art classes at the Chortkiv Pedagogical School. Although she dedicated her formative years to earning degrees in Psychology and Business at two Ukrainian institutions, she remained faithful to developing her artistic skills by paining whenever time allowed. After moving to the United States in 2004, Oksana overcame the challenges of being in a new country. In a few years she mastered her new language and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of General Studies. Despite her overwhelming workload, she never lost her artistic passion. Over time, she developed collections of art which includes architectural scenes, landscapes as well as a series of Fashion Art and Couture. She uses individual technique of Swarovski® crystals on canvas to create their jewelries and dresses. Some of her pieces contains up to 1,000 Swarovski® crystals clued to canvas. Working in direction of Fashion Art positioned Oksana as a Fashion Artist and made her collections well known and popular

When the Los Angeles Times suggested that “if it's possible to become a pop star playing traditional music on bagpipes and recorder, Núñez could be the man,” it may have been an understatement. Few pop stars pack the energy, virtuosity, imagination, daring, and charisma into their concerts and recordings asGalician multi-instrumentalist Carlos Núñez does. He is the world's most famous player of the gaita, gaita, the bagpipes of Galicia, Spain's northwest, Atlantic Ocean-abutting region rich in vibrant, uniquely expressive Celtic traditional music. Nevertheless, several decades ago Paddy Moloney, leader of the celebrated Irish traditional band the Chieftains, called Galicia “the unknown Celtic country,” implying that traditional music as exciting as Galicia's was overdue for a global breakout in awareness and acclaim. Like the Chieftains, who became Ireland's foremost ambassadors of Irish traditional music by spreading its appeal internationally, Carlos Núñez has become Galicia's foremost traditional music ambassador by doing the same. He takes that important responsibility very seriously but without a shred of selfimportance. Born in 1971 and raised in the Galician port of Vigo, where he initially picked up the gaita at age eight, Carlos both embodies and reflects the irrepressible spirit of his native music. But he also understands the pitfalls of traditional music becoming incrementally complacent in approach and insulated from innovation. Under those conditions, even the heartiest music can eventually slip into predictability. Carlos respects and seeks to safeguard Galicia's musical legacy while also skillfully exploring fresh, fascinating realms of possibility for it. All of that can be heard to great effect on his new CD, Inter-Celtic, released by Sony Music on February 18. What does that title mean to Carlos Núñez?

“I had asked myself that question since I was a kid in Vigo,” he admitted. “Finally I got an answer when, at twelve years of age, I was invited to play with the InterCeltic Festival of Lorient Orchestra in Brittany, France's northwest region known for its own tradition of Celtic music. There, performers from seven Celtic countries put their traditional music together to form one nation' beyond languages and frontiers. Since then, that feeling of brotherhood has been a true mission for me.” This musical brotherhood was fortified by the Chieftains, whom Carlos had initially met at Lorient's Inter-Celtic Festival. In 1994, the band invited Carlos to perform with them at New York City's Carnegie Hall. It was a highly auspicious U.S. concert debut by him, and since then he has toured and recorded several times with the Chieftains, including on their albums Voice of Ages (2012), San Patricio (2010), The Long Black Veil (1995), and Santiago (Carlos worked closely with Moloney in developing this Galician-sparked, Spanish-focused project from 1996). The latter two CD's earned Grammy awards, and Carlos as a solo artist received Latin Grammy nominations for Os Amores Libres in 2000 and Mayo Longo in 2001. Not surprisingly, Carlos's solo album debut in 1996, A Irmandade das Estrelas (Brotherhood of Stars in English), fulfilled his musical mission of inter-Celtic confraternity in stunning style. Featuring more than 50 guests, the album enjoyed extraordinary sales in Spain, where it became the first Celtic traditional recording to reach the coveted platinum status. Carlos's other albums have likewise generated substantial sales and esteem, expanding the audience for Galician music through a kinship with different Celtic nation that he's cultivated in original, invigorating ways.

His 2012 release, release, a double CD comprising 39 tracks and featuring a host of distinguished guests, was entitled Discover, Discover, a single word serving as an open invitation to savor a bountiful cross-section of Carlos's diverse music indissolubly linked to Galicia's music.

first track “Mambo” (uptempo, freespirited dance tune composed by Carlos with bandmate Pancho Alvarez) to the last track “Reel Roots” (medley of dance tunes played in an intoxicating combination of jazz, rock, Irish, and Galician settings).

The gaita is Galicia's signature sonic symbol, dating back at least to the 11th century, and Carlos's utter mastery of this bagpipe has been integral to its rising popularity inside and outside Spain. His ability in fingering the chanter to bend, extend, or cut notes, sustain and change tempos, explore harmonic nuances and tonal colors, and complement and counterpoint other musicians' playing is nothing short of astonishing, and those musical hallmarks are not limited to his playing of the gaita. gaita.

Among the other standout tracks are “Vento das Cies” (exuberant muiñeira, or Galician traditional jig, featuring button accordionist Sharon Shannon and bouzouki-bodhrán player Dónal Lunny from Ireland), “Gavotte/Pandeirada” (atmospheric, animated pairing of harper Alan Stivell's Breton-steeped composition and a Galician tune), “Two Shores” (poignant Galician melody principally played by U.S. guitar ace Ry Cooder and Carlos that came from a 19th-century Galician zarzuela, or folk opera), “Is the Big Man Within?” (lively Irish traditional jig played by Carlos with the Irish traditional band Altan), and “Over Nine Waves” (Carlos's beautiful, contemplative composition inspired by the legendary story of the ancient Milesians, who sailed from northern Spain to Ireland and became ancestors of the Celtic populace there, a number of whose descendants would emigrate centuries later to northern Spain and especially Galicia to escape hardship).

At the Royal Conservatory in Madrid, Carlos took lessons on the recorder, for which he received the highest possible grades, but it was his subsequent selftraining that raised his proficiency level to studio and concert-hall quality. “The recorder is a very personal, intimate instrument,” Carlos pointed out. “Thegaita “Thegaita has drones, so its sound is powerfully earthy. With the recorder, you can fly like a bird.” Carlos's instrumental arsenal also includes the ocarina, assorted whistles, Scottish highland pipes, uilleann (Irish) pipes, bombarde (a kind of Breton oboe), biniou koz (Breton bagpipes), and pastoral pipes (18th-century precursor of the uilleann pipes). This impressive panoply of instruments provides Carlos and his audiences with a variety of textures matched to that of his repertoire. On Inter-Celtic, Inter-Celtic, Carlos's range is again exemplary and exhilarating, abetted by his own core band and another star-studded roster of special guests. The album gleams from the

What is your skin type and how to recognize it? It is important to know your skin type when it comes time to determine the type of cosmetics and daily skin care you will be utilizing. Let’s start with the skin types. There are basically 4 types: normal, dry, oily and combination.

Normal skin: This type of mostly found in babies whose skin is silky, firm to the touch and with small pores.

Dry skin: Dry skin can be identified by a formation of small wrinkles and lines of expressions. There is also peeling especially if exposed to hot water, too much sun, wind and cold. The pores are closed and are lack of shine. The skin feels stretched after washing with soap.

Oily skin: Oily skin can be recognized by doing a small test. When you wake up, grab a paper towel and wipe your face. If the paper towel has a bit of grease, then you have oily skin. A person with oily skin will also has acne and black heads. Most men have this skin type as they have more facial hair then women.

Combination skin: The name says it all. It is a mix of oily skin with dry skin. Only that the oily regions of the face is the forehead, nose and chin, which is also called the “T-zone”. The pores are more open in this region and there are black head on the nose.

What is the right product for your skin? Here are some tips. Normal skin: Use neutral soap, skin moisturizing and sun screen. Dry skin: Use a moisturizing soap which contains avocado. Always use a moisturizer for dry skin with sunscreen. Do not use any cosmetic formula that contains alcohol. Do a facial cleansing at least every 3 months and a deep moisture every 15 days. Mixed and Combination skin: Use a soap that is sulfur based (such as Neutrogena) or witch hazel. Always use lotions with sunscreen that are oil free. It is good to have a facial cleansing at least once a month.

USA-based Brazilian artist Andréia Rosa makes her debut Solo Show in New York City

NEW YORK CITY, NY – March 4, 2014. “Celebrating!” is the first solo exhibition by USA-based Brazilian artist Andréia Rosa, with the support of Bank of Brazil in New York and the great facilities of its art gallery. Andréia Rosa is delighted to announce that her abstract and pointillism series have been showing by her first solo art exhibition at the ‘Banco do Brasil’ Art Gallery in New York City. Andréia Rosa is an international artist who is known for her strong, dynamic and colorful abstract watercolor paintings, which is very unusual for this kind of media. She has chosen her watercolors series through a careful attention which was conducted with the thought by showing the diversity of her works. Evelyn Brooks Designs Evelyn Brooks was born in Peru. She graduated from Business Tourism School at the age of 21 and decided to work in a field relating to her studies. Evelyn was fortunate to explore the travel industry and travel around the world as part of her job. She has lived in many different countries, (Brazil, Mexico, El Salvador, United States) enjoying the beauty of what each country has to offer. In 2004, Evelyn discovered her new passion: jewelry making/design. She has studied different courses at the Torpedo Factory, The Gemological Institute of America and Empowered Women International in order to diversify her knowledge in the jewelry industry. On Thursday, February 27, the Peru Fashion Night in New York City 2014 was held. It was a tribute to the ancient Peruvian textiles and the symbol of the brand Peru dominating the scene was presented a stunning example of fine clothes fiber Peruvian alpaca and accessories for eco-friendly jewelry on the catwalk of New Yorker Hotel, one of the iconic hotels. the attention of agents, designers fashion, representatives of retail shops and boutiques, press, fashion bloggers, responsible consumers , supporters of Fair Trade and American entrepreneurs interested in entering the distribution and marketing of clothing and accessories from Peruvian alpaca in New York. All they could see in great detail was the most recent creations of young designers and Peruvian entrepreneurs specializing in camelid fibers transform into works of art. In addition to the night of glamour, the Peruvians had the special presentation of the Autumn- Winter 2014 KUNA Peruvian brand known worldwide member of the International Alpaca Association and winner of numerous awards and international awards for the quality of its textile production based in ancient techniques and a business philosophy that has raised the quality of education and standard of living of various Andean communities dedicated to raising 19 alpacas.


Over 20 models of different races and nationalities became the gateway of the Peru Fashion Night in a show never seen before in the city of skyscrapers, in which the modern and pre-Columbian mingled in the processing of which were used natural dyes, non-polluted, soil is protected , energy saved and the health of the planet is preserved using ancient manual techniques of Peru , Andean nation with a vast history of clean ancestral knowledge.

Also present was the designer Jenny Duarte, graduated from the School of Fashion Design Forum of Paris, with significant experience in the House of Torrente Haute Couture, the French capital. We have tried to reach the essence of each song, at least the essence we feel in them. Some of our versions are quite different from the original songs, while sometimes they are more recognizable. We have approached this work with the clear intention of taking artistic risks”.

It's a daring, ambitious proposition by what once seemed an unlikely partnership. Pérez Cruz and Fernandez Miró first met in 2006 -- and instantly disliked each other. other. “I thought of Raül as someone absolutely far away from my reality,” says Sivia. “We argued about everything. Now I believe he is one of the most important collaborators I have ever had.” Fernandez Miró recalls that “ It felt as if we spoke different languages, the communication did not flow. I saw in Sílvia exactly the opposite to what I thought and stood for; I believe she was too academic. Time made me realize she was different, exceptional, an unprecedented talent.” Everything changed in an Immigrasons concert, a project about exile featuring Argentine and Spanish artists. Raül was one of the musical directors, Sílvia one of the singers. The tension between them had been explicit during rehearsals and the daily tour coexistence -- but on stage their connection was magical. And it has since developed into a sort of musical telepathy.

Silvia and Raül have since collaborated on several projects, touring Mexico, Argentina and Brasil. Her solo debut, 11 de novembre(Universal, novembre(Universal, 2012), was written and arranged by Silvia and co-produced by Silvia and Raül. The album featured songs in Portuguese and several Spanish languages (Castilian, Galician, Catalonian) and it earned her a Gold Record and album-of-the-year nominations in Spain and France. 11 de novembre was called by Spain´s Jenesaispop.com “a musical life-preserver, far from fashion and new tendencies, full of emotion and tenderness for the songs, treated with the care of a mother to her children.” While the Catalonian newspaper El Periódico called it “ a courageous debut.” In performance, the duo utilizes several languages and explores different styles, as Silvia, a singer with a distinct phrasing and of impeccable intonation, uses jazz improvisation, the powerful rhythms of flamenco but also the intense emotions of fado, fado, a sort of Portuguese blues. Meanwhile, Raül brings to their sound his passion for rock and pop and a distinct experimental fearlessness.

Life & Fashion became official on Friday, February 7 when they hosted a Fashion Show with the designers from First Verse Apparel/Verse Wear with the 2014 collection of leather jackets and summer wear and EyE Fashion & Events with the 2014 collection of swimwear. Around 50 viewers came to Lvsiadas Portuguese Restaurant in Mount Vernon, to experience and enjoy the show as 30 models from Swing Promotions, Bulleya Photography and EyE Fashion & Events revealed the remarkable clothing wear from these wonderful designers. Glam Touch made the make up for the beautiful models as they walked the runway. During the show, you could see the audience talking among themselves and pointing at their favorite clothing, which was all of them. The host of the show was no other then Denny Silva, one of the owners and photographer of Life &Fashion itself and of Bulleya Photography. To live up the crowd, DJ Ney provided the runway music and Soundboy Cartagena performed a couple of songs from his latest album. At the end of the night, the audience were able to have their picture taken by the best photographers Jai Glez and Rodrigo Oliveira from Bulleya Photography with the designers or by themselves in front of the red carpet. The conference was coordinated by André Puccinelli ( Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul ) and had he presence of officials from the Brazilian Consulate. After that, we had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful work of the fine arts of the artist Humberto Espindola and also from Jonira and from Lucia Brasil and among others. We took pictures of Alexis Prappas, Erik Sacco and many other artists. In the literature field, we can appreciate works from Leninda Ramos (Storia Senza Nome), William Whitmar (Dream and Power) and Luix Alfredo Magalhães Marques (Paraguay River ). A wonderful evening where there were important people in the artistical half and had the pleasure of enjoying the pleasant presence of Yara Maura Silva (Vice President of Mauricio de Sousa Productions International). Our team was presented by Puccinelli ( Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul ) with a gorgeous collection of works of Baroque art coming straight from Brazil. Undoubtedly a landmark event in the life of the Brazilian Society who resides in New York and other states.

Carnival 2014

Bulleya Photography model Lenny Douglas was honored enough to be part of the Carnival 2014 in Brazil by riding in the parade for The Samba School of Vila Isabel. According to the rio-carnival.net, Vila Isabel is a very old school with lots of history and tradition. However it almost went into oblivion not a long time ago. It lingered in the Access Group for a long time until a few years ago when it re-joined the Special Group in 1995 with an astonishing win. After that, in 1996, it hired one of the most energetic, up-and-coming carnival designers and has scored very high again in the last couple of years. It is currently ranked the third best among all Rio samba schools. Carnival is a seasonal event that happens in February, after lent in mostly every parts of the world. It usually involves people dressing up in costumes and parading in the streets all night long. Carnival is major part of the Brazilian culture. In Salvador, Bahia Brazil it has the largest Carnival celebration, however, in Rio the Janeiro is where the show actually takes place as many Samba schools participate in parading the streets.

The party in Brazil can last at least 6 days but the party can last more than 12 days with more than hundreds of thousands of people occupying more than 440 blocks.
