DELUXE HOTELS
Visit by Miss Sweden Nicoline Artusson, top model and Miss World contestant, visited the Bahari Beauty & Spa in Portals for some pampering – the Lindner Golf & Wellness Resort is offering over the festive period an attractive Christmas menu and a special programme for New Year’s Eve
he sophisticated treatments at the Bahari Beauty & Spa at the Lindner Golf & Wellness Resort near Palma are greatly enjoyed by managers, travellers and even young people. These treatments, based on the Island’s own minerals, salts and herbal substances and on ancient recipes from Asia and Africa, soothe and detoxify both body and soul. In winter, just as in the summer season, the hotel provides exactly the right product to meet individual wishes. A few weeks ago, the hotel received a very special guest. At the beginning of October, Nicoline Artusson, the reigning Miss Sweden and a Miss World contestant (placed 8th), availed herself of the spa’s expertise. At the subsequent photoshoot in the hotel and its extensive grounds, the Swedish beauty, born in 1993, seemed very laid back, and she was visibly rested and relaxed. But it is not necessary to be Miss Sweden to feel at home at the Bahari Beauty & Spa, as the resort offers special terms for Mallorca residents. Guests domiciled in the Balearics

can use the facilities for just 20 euros (10 euros from 6 pm onwards), plus the cost of their treat ment, and aspiring Miss Worlds among the younger guests receive their own personalised wellness programme. Residents who are golfers can also take part in group coaching sessions, with simple and effective exercises before and after the game, and tips from the golf club professional! The Linder Golf & Wellness Resort certainly has surprises in store for the festive season. Duck foie gras with pickled walnuts, bream with baked scallops, cream of chestnut soup with black winter truffles and goose with red cabbage followed by a mandarin-cava sorbet will really bring the Christmas spirit to the Island. And New Year’s Eve will be particularly exciting. An exquisite buffet of fine foods will be followed by a long night of live music, shows and a firework display. And at midnight, in accordance with Spanish tradition, it is time to eat grapes: one grape at each stroke of midnight – twelve in all – without choking.
