Wander packs give our youngest customers the same Gregory fit, function, and quality on all manner of adventures. We’ve expanded the series this year with the addition of a 38L size, and redesigned the existing 50L and 70L styles. We’ve also consolidated the adjustable torso technically into a single size offering to simplify the park selection process. The trail is the perfect place to engage the imagination and build appreciation for the outdoors, and we are committed to making those first experiences positive and memorable.

VERSAFIT SUSPENSION Comfortable, precise, and proper fit is a hallmark of Gregory packs, and at no time is fit more important than during the first years of exposure to the outdoors. VersaFit Suspension makes it possible to achieve that precision fit on users of varying sizes and ages, making it perfect for younger backpackers who are still growing. One pack size covers torso lengths from 13 in to 18 in (33 cm to 46 cm), thanks to an adjustable harness that anchors to the internal Wire Wishbone frame. The Quick-Adjust hipbelt provides even more customization of the 50L and 70L styles, with movable Aeromesh hip pads that offer improved load transfer for smaller waists.

GREGORY FIT PHILOSOPHY In 1977, Wayne Gregory started designing and building backpacks based on one simple, but groundbreaking philosophy: a properly designed pack is not carried, but worn. Wayne’s fit philosophy continues today with every pack we design and build. A properly fit pack ensures miles of enjoyment on the trail. Matching torso size with the appropriate pack size leads to better energy efficiency through a more stable pack carry, plus enhanced comfort for any outdoor activity. Our goal with customers is to achieve the most accurate fit possible. This requires a few minutes of time, but it is worth it to be able to arrive at the best fitting pack possible. A properly fit pack means greater energy efficiency for the user, more stability on the back and overall increased comfort on the trail.
