Excuses hinder the intelligent from becoming prosperous and Wise - Mekhi Mcduffie

2020 was my junior year; I worked my tail off during quarantine to get in top shape for football. I did workouts in my basement and ran at my local recreation field since we were on lockdown. When the football team was cleared to practice in person, all my hard work paid off because I won my position I became the starting center for the football team of the most prominent school in Georgia

after a few games, I was leading the offensive line in statistics. All was going great until one practice on a Tuesday afternoon. During a play, I heard a loud pop in my knee. I went and got an MRI a few days later, and the results said that I tore my ACL completely, tore part of my lateral meniscus, and sprained my LCL, PCL, and MCL An Injury that not too many people come back from; however, I was determined to not let that be my story

After my surgery, I had to do rehab where, in the beginning stages, my knee had to basically learn how to walk again. My rehab process consisted of me working out 2 to 3 times a day for 4 or 5 days per week. As a result, I came back from a career-ending injury in 9 months. I played every game my senior year and was again named a team captain

After my high school career, I went on to lose 90 pounds. This was another challenge that pushed me, but I was again victorious. Many trials and tribulations have come my way, but I have always, and will forever, overcome them all. I am not a 5-star athlete but a 5-star student and child of God
