Retail Banking Case Studies A selection of our client success stories: UK Private Bank - Digital and data transformation The client required support to deliver a bank-wide digital and data transformation across an 18-month period. Delta Capita supported across multiple workstreams including Onboarding, Service Excellence, Online Banking, Lending, Payments and Trusts. We supported from current state assessment and benchmarking, analysis, vendor selection to project governance and planning.

UK Retail Bank - Treasury Operations ​The client needed to move all open trades and positions from historic FIS SONIA calculations to an up-to-date FIS Quantum version. ​A Delta Capita team comprising of individuals skilled in data analytics, process optimisation, and project management were engaged to manage and deliver against the audit findings over a 6-month timeline. We successfully delivered recalculated interest rate accruals, cashflow and valuation calculations and achieved significant savings. Major Dutch Bank - Digital Transformation of Core Banking processes An umbrella bank in the Netherlands representing four brands with 3 million customers. Each brand had its own image resulting in own policies, processes, products and systems that weren’t up to par with market standards. The aim of the program was to reduce complexity by standardization of products and processes and enabling employees to focus on high value client activities.

UK Retail Bank – Asset Finance Process Modelling and Review Delta Capita were onboarded to support with a current state assessment of the Asset Finance business to review the existing process flows and data in order to provide recommendations for process improvement and automation​. Our recommended solution reduced costs by 20% and improved speed by 50% and we were subsequently selected to deliver Phase 1 of the solution.

UK Retail Bank – Automation CoE Delta Capita were engaged to mobilise an automation programme to discover, build and deliver the automation of non-value add business tasks across all business areas to free up resource capacity. Outcomes included 38 FTE’s capacity saving, allowing the business to re-allocate resources to more productive tasks​, 40% processing efficiency improvement and 90% processing accuracy delivered.

UK Retail Bank – Consumer Duty DC supported a group wide regulatory change programme incorporating 5 retail business lines. The DC team guided the bank in achieving material compliance with the regulation by putting in place the required controls and frameworks in the key areas of product governance, pricing and fair value, communications and customer support.​ The team supported the bank evidencing compliance with the rules, creating a traceability matrix and evidence repository and collating metrics into an MI dashboard. UK Private Bank| Strategic incorporating new ESG approach and outcomes The client required support to refresh its commercial, technical and delivery strategy, including development of ESG plans. We developed a ‘horizon’ 5 year strategic plan, building on existing purpose, goals and success and incorporating a new strategic approach to ESG risks and opportunities. This involved refining client segmentation and targeting approach, definition of the bank’s target state, gap analysis vs. current state and prioritisation of future investment. UK Retail Bank – Location Strategy Delta Capita were responsible for planning, execution and final delivery of a new location strategy. We led a prioritisation exercise on POCs based on business needs and KPI’s leading to a launch of a new strategic site in India, mobilised at a considerable pace.

Retail Banking Case Studies A selection of our client success stories: Global Tier 1 Bank – Target Operating Model Developed a Target Operating Model for the group technology function with 14000 professionals. The target state was to break down organisational silos within technology i.e. Investment Banking technology, Wealth Management technology into one homogeneous global technology department within the firm. The engagement touched on all aspects of the technology organization ranging from developer productivity, to process simplification and adapting to Agile ways of working. UK Retail Bank - Financial Crime; CDD, OCDD & CRA Delta Capita supported with the development of a Financial Crime solution to facilitate a group-wide approach for the following processes: CDD (Customer Due-diligence), OCDD (Ongoing Customer Due-diligence) and CRA (Customer Risk Assessment). This included mapping of all key processes by customer type, streamlining of workflows and case management.

UK Retail Bank – M&A support Delta Capita were engaged to support the separation of the Specialist Finance Business from Invoice Financing in a leading Retail Bank. This included creation of a governance model to establish communication and decision making, negotiation support (seller side) of the purchase agreement, creation of transition processes, separation plan, comms plan, testing and post-sales support.

UK Retail Bank – Data Warehouse Solution The bank had upgraded their data warehousing solution causing unexpected performance issues. DC worked with the client to enhance stability, reducing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted data access for bank operations. We also improved incident resolution and system reliability alongside efficient data management, reducing errors and improving overall data operations.

Wealth Manager – Strategy and Market Analysis Delta Capita were engaged by a Wealth Manager to understand ‘where to play’ and ‘how to win’ in the wealth space. As part of this work DC conducted a full market research, competitor analysis and strategy for the product including initial market research into customer needs and perceived gaps, segmentation, features and functionality, full competitor analysis both existing and entry threats, Customer Journey Mapping and surrounding support flows and go to market and launch strategy. New Market Entrant: Go to Market Strategy Delta capita worked with a global comms and media technology and solutions provider to advise on their strategy and go to approach to enter retail banking specifically in the US with an eye on global expansion. We conducted a current state assessment of the clients existing product mix, SWOT, competitor analysis and key market trends. We then looked across the whole value chain utilising our proprietary tech to look at customer sentiment in retail banking to inform a comprehensive strategy. UK Retail Bank - Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Refresh​ The client required support for the delivery of the RCSA Refresh across the Treasury Division of the bank (Front Office Trading Desk, Operations, Debt Capital Markets, Corporate Treasury and Asset Liability Management)​.Consolidation of 150+ existing controls into 20 ‘Key controls’ aligned to ORX industry standard​ and delivery of 35+ end to end SOPs were signed off by the business.

Irish Retail Bank: Customer Servicing Implementation Support Delta Capita were engaged by an Irish Retail Bank to support with customer data enrichment for newly acquired customers, resource their credit assessment team to support applications for new credit facilities, processing credit card and overdraft applications and documenting a risk-based approach to AML compliance.
