Our valued Members,

We all know the economy and financial services landscape have seen considerable fluctuations in recent years and can leave us feeling anxious about the future. Your Del-One Team is passionate about serving your best interests and as a Member-owned cooperative, it’s our responsibility to make sure we are always here when you need us. Your Credit Union continues to grow and maintain a solid financial position. Through 62 years of service to our communities, we have navigated many challenging times and I am proud to say we’ve always kept our doors open and our dedicated Teammates gainfully employed.

Being a cooperative financial institution means that we are owned and operated for the benefit of our Members. This gives us the opportunity to adjust our operations and make decisions that will best impact our Members. This year we migrated our online banking and mobile banking platforms to better serve our Members with best-in-class technology. Your response to this enhancement was outstanding. The financial planning features available within these applications are top-notch! In terms of loan products, we rolled out our Express Auto Loan. The Express Auto Loan allows you to apply online, get approved and walk into a dealership with a blank check, ready to buy your new ride with confidence and control. Another focus for the Credit Union in 2023 will be on Member Business lending. Products, services, and lending advice for small and medium businesses will be geared towards helping to drive success.

Del-One FCU rolled out a new financial education platform, called FUEL K12 and FUEL (Financial Understanding at Every Level), that provides learning modules to local school districts and to all our Members. The Credit Union offers these educational tools to schools, free of charge. FUEL offers modules to Members and Member Businesses, too! Financial literacy is essential to financial wellness. You can learn more at www.del-one.org/financial-education/

Several Del-One teammates earned their certification through the National Association of Certified Credit Counselors, and members can now schedule appointments with one of these individuals to assist with overcoming financial challenges. In 2023, more Teammates will become certified and be of assistance to more Del-One Members.

Del-One was honored on a few fronts during 2022 by being honored by the New Castle Prevention Coalition with their Community Partner Award, by USA Today and the News Journal’s Top Workplaces in Delaware, and by Forbes as the Best-in-State Credit Union for Delaware.

The Credit Union recognizes that along with technology it is important to be available, in person. In July, the Credit Union opened the Fox Run Branch in Bear, DE. In November, the Wilmington Branch was relocated to One Germay Drive, and offers Members ample parking and a drive-thru window. Plans are on the drawing board for an eastern Sussex Branch in 2024.

As we begin the new year, consider what you need to be financially healthy, and please let us know how we can help. Whether you want to save more, pay off debt, purchase a car or a home, or simply learn more about managing money, we’re happy to help with the right solutions for your unique goals. Thank you for choosing Del-One FCU as your financial partner. We’re honored to serve you.

Best wishes for a healthy, happy New Year and thank you for being a member of Del-One Federal Credit Union!
