Guided by our Core Values and commitment to high standards, St. Edmund’s Academy provides a diverse, inclusive, and nurturing learning community where students are known, valued, and challenged to achieve their potential.

Our Promise

One Vision for All Learners

With their graduation from St. Edmund’s Academy, our graduates will …

1. Live with a clear sense of purpose and responsibility guided by St. Edmund’s Academy’s Core Values.

2. Thrive in secondary school and beyond through robust academic preparation.

3. Approach real world problems with humility and conviction.

4. Value collaborating with people with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

5. Recognize injustice and challenge themselves to honor the needs and worth of others.

6. Demonstrate a love of learning and commitment to personal growth.

Our graduates maintain a lifelong connection to the St. Edmund’s Academy community.

Greetings from St. Edmund’s Academy and the start of a new school year. I extend my heartfelt appreciation for your unwavering support and ongoing commitment to our school. Your generosity has truly advanced St. Edmund’s Academy, providing vital resources in support of students, faculty, and our programs.

As we reflect on our accomplishments and share our progress, I am reminded of a timeless Core Value that has guided generations within our school community: the worthiness of service to others. This Core Value has bound us together, transcending time and trends, as we provide children with an experience dedicated to high academic standards and character development. In this annual donor report, we hope to demonstrate not only the significance of your contributions, but also our school’s vital place in the region.

By the time you read this report, I will have had the honor of presenting each first grader with a St. Edmund’s Academy patch in front of their peers and teachers, spanning 1st through 8th grade. This simple, yet profound act symbolizes a transition in these young lives—an early lesson in the art of giving and receiving with grace, a handshake of integrity, and a glance towards a promising future. Their tiny hands, momentarily connected with mine, serve as a reminder that our time together is fleeting and that our role in their journey carries immense opportunity and responsibility.

Your generous contributions make moments like these possible, supporting a blend of unique St. Edmund’s Academy learning experiences that will guide our students far beyond their time at our school. Your belief in our mission and unwavering support are the cornerstones upon which we develop the next generation of St. Edmund’s Academy educated community leaders.

Once again, on behalf of everyone at St. Edmund’s Academy, thank you for your commitment to our school and the families we serve. Your generosity is transforming lives and ensuring that our children are well-prepared to navigate the world with resilience, empathy, and personal responsibility.

Funding Highlights

HEAD OF SCHOOL STUDENT SUPPORT FUND provides need-based financial aid in the form of a scholarship to a student whose attendance at St. Edmund’s Academy has provided invaluable contributions to the fabric of our community through their academic leadership inside and outside the classroom, and their co-curricular involvement. Students who receive this support will demonstrate a proven track record of positive contributions to St. Edmund’s both in and out of the classroom as well as an unwavering commitment to the Core Values for which the school stands.

THE CLASS OF 1992 MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is given in memory of Alexander McAllister Feely, Bradley Laufman Henninger, and Benjamin C. Klein to a seventh grade student who best exemplifies the qualities of the Class of 1992: an enthusiasm for learning while striving to be the best they can be; a genuine interest in the well-being of their fellow man in and out of St. Edmund’s Academy; the ability to lead and encourage others to leadership roles; and active participation in activities inside and outside of St. Edmund’s Academy.

THE C.P. STEWART SCHOLARSHIP is a merit-based award provided annually to new students entering St. Edmund’s Academy in fifth or sixth grade.

To learn more about these and other named giving opportunities, please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement

THE ST. EDMUND’S ACADEMY TEACHER AWARD was inspired by a generous donor and annually recognizes the teacher that positively uplifts the school community through their demonstration of core values and exemplification of the culture of teaching excellence. The individual will have a dedication to the social-emotional and cognitive growth of children and serve as a model for the entire school community. Given at the beginning of the school year to acknowledge the commitment of returning faculty, this award both recognizes the excellence in the work they’ve done and their dedication to the work ahead.

2023 Recipients of The St. Edmund’s Academy Teacher Award

Maria Dianifaba brings joy and positivity to all of her interactions, creating a space for students to learn and thrive.

Joining St. Edmund’s Academy in 2018, she has been a consummate team player, bringing her talents to our advisory program, her French classroom, and our United Nations Sustainable Development Goals curriculum. As an Upper School advisor, she cultivates positive relationships with her students that allow them to bring their full selves to her classroom and to our school. Ms. Dianifaba takes pride in her students’ success, and creates conditions in which they can reach their potential.

Holly Adams passionately supports the education of each child at St. Edmund’s Academy.

Since joining SEA in 2004, Ms. Adams has brought her talents to many aspects of our program. As an art instructor, she engages children in hands-on activities that inspire their creativity. She ensures that every child knows they are an artist, and supports them as they proudly show off their artwork to classmates and family members. In her classroom, students are not afraid to make mistakes, ask questions, and even get a little messy. Her kindness and patience as a teacher is matched by her commitment to developing students of character.
