Making A Difference DLS Students were particularly generous with their time and talent this Fall. Their service ranged from helping gradeschoolers and the homeless, donating food, and raising money for cancer research. Our young men have truly been “Making a Difference.�
During the Annual October Senior Service Day, several members of the Class of 2018 visited their former grade schools, helping out where needed - whether tutoring or assisting with ground maintenance. A group headed out to glean the fields at the Forgotten Harvest Farm in Fenton, MI. A large group chose to stay at De La Salle, preparing nearly 400 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and writing notes of encouragement to the homeless veterans who would receive the lunch bags, distributed through the Michigan Veterans Foundation.

Members of the varsity football team joined the St. Lawrence second-grade football team for practice one day, thrilling the future Pilots - many of them sons of alumni - and providing positive role models during their time together.
