protests locally Activist and comedian Dick Gregory joined members of Operation People for Peace and Occupy Houston in picketing BP’s headquarters. The protest was in support of victims of the massive BP oil spill, which struck the Gulf Coast in 2010. Protesters say many of the poor, minority victims are still waiting for compensation for their losses.

Michelle Williams

finds destiny

Former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams has found a home on the stage. She’s currently on the road as a star in the play, “What My Husband Doesn’t Know.” She previously appeared in stage productions of “Chicago” and “The Color Purple.” Williams still likes to sing and is preparing for an inspirational R&B project.
