Houstonian Marquis Alexander has made history at Texas A&M University. Alexander, a 2007 graduate of Barbara Jordan High School for Careers, has been selected as commander for A&M’s 2012-2013 Corps of Cadets, which numbers more than 2,300. It is the first time a Black student will hold the prestigious position. H Page
