efeated Mag&zine is a one-theme issue for young photography. We want the artists to express themselves, not only showing what they do but also the story within the photograph. The issue searchs for the poetry behind the shot. By proposing a topic we encourage the artists to relate their work to a subject supported by few words of their own. From the hollow where the light cames in...
The source that brings a shot to life, the end of the darkness, the last hope, the early morning... 21 young photographers 路overexposed路.
“ Room was filled with the rising cold light coming from the outside. I started to lose myself and melted away.... ”

“ It’s never about the light.
but always about the reflections...

“ Light always inspires me and let me fall into another world full of magic an warmth. In all of these pictures we feel the moments really deep in our hearts when the light catches our souls and faces.

“... is because of light that I do what I do
Who are you? My name is Víctor Salgado.
Where do you come from? Where are you now? Where are you going? I'm from Santiago de Chile - I currently live between Pichilemu, a coastal town, and Santiago – I’m not sure where I’m going right now.
Which cameras you shoot with? Nikon FG20, Nikonos IV and lately with an Olympus Trip AF 30.
Who is behind your images? Mainly people and their relationship with the environment, the places and the existing light. The registration of a unique moment between a person, a place and a situation.
An image that moves/inspires you? Something that moves me would be the sea and the people, but above all that, the relationship between them.
Something you should have said to someone but you never did? Whenever I’ve had to say something really important to someone I think I’ve had.
What color are you? Depends what for, but mostly blue.
A song, a movie, a book It’s difficult to appoint just one example of each, the first that came to mind: A Song: Pink Moon - Nick Drake, A Movie: Canine - Giorgos Lanthimos and films of Andrei Tarkovsky's A Book: On Photography - Susan Sontag.
Have you ever been defeated? What happened? I’ve been defeated many times, as it might have happened to most everyone.
How do you relate your photographs to our issue topic? “ I feel a special attraction to ·light· and what it can generate on a scene, whether is natural or fictitious.
I try to use it in my work always in the best way to achieve what I want. On the other hand, I think a picture without the light would be nothing, it just would not exist. Because is thanks to light there’s photography and thanks to light I do what I do.
Without light we would not recognize “ the underground cavities that lie deep in our psyche, that empower the river and feeds the creation.

“Light is like music, it belongs to the physical world, and yet you cannot touch it,
Only experience it, if lucky. Light can come to the ugliest place on earth and make it beautiful and worthwhile.
Light brings the sense of purpose. a beam of light that comes through a dusty window after a long and desperate night, this is something that means a lot to me..

“ Without light, these photographs wouldn't exist. Light is the raw material. Light is what makes skin shine and show all it's beauty. Milagros Olivera Concepción del Uruguay
“ My boyfriend is an extremely calm person,
he can just sit in a bench while I stare at him with the camera. I tried to show a touch of something mystical in random places.
“...it's always about light,
I'm trying to do a collection of natural colorful light, churches and pink crystals
