UL Listed products are independently tested and certified by Underwriters Laboratories to meet stringent safety and performance criteria for the US and Canadian markets. This listing ensures that the complete product, as supplied, meets strict fire, electric shock, and mechanical hazard safety standards. Many DSE products carry the UL Listed mark, providing peace of mind for customers operating in regulated environments.

UL Recognised components, by contrast, are certified as parts of a larger system. DSE designs selected modules and internal components to meet UL standards, supporting OEMs and integrators in building systems that conform to UL compliance.

For our customers in Europe, VDE certification is a mark of both electrical safety and engineering excellence. Recognised across the EU and beyond, the VDE mark demonstrates that DSE products meet rigorous German and international safety standards, reflecting our commitment to premium product design and performance.

E11 certification (formerly E-mark), granted by the UK’s Vehicle Certification Agency, confirms that selected DSE products meet type approval for use in automotive and off-highway equipment—another indication of our focus on application-specific compliance.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is a globally recognised safety science organisation based in the United States. Founded in 1894, UL develops rigorous standards and conducts independent testing, inspection, and certification of products to ensure they meet defined safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.

UL certification is trusted worldwide and is especially important in industries where electrical, fire, and mechanical safety are critical. Products bearing the UL mark have been evaluated and approved for use in specific markets, giving manufacturers, suppliers, and end-users confidence in their compliance with key safety and quality standards.

DSEGenset® – Load Sharing & Synchronising

DSE load sharing and synchronising controllers are engineered to provide seamless power management in multi-generator systems. Designed for a wide range of installations, these controllers automatically balance load demand across multiple gensets, ensuring efficient operation, fuel savings, and reduced wear. They support advanced synchronising functions, including voltage matching, phase alignment, and frequency control, enabling smooth transitions between power sources. DSE manual / auto start controllers are designed to provide reliable, automatic control of standby and prime power generator sets. DSEGenset® – Auto Mains (Utility) Failure

DSE auto mains (utility) failure (AMF) controllers are designed to automatically manage the transfer between mains (utility) power and a standby generator during a power outage. When a mains (utility) failure is detected, the controller starts the generator and transfers the load, ensuring continuous power with minimal disruption. Once the mains (utility) supply is restored, the controller switches the load back and shuts down the generator safely. The VDE mark is internationally recognised and signifies that a product has been rigorously tested for electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and environmental impact. It is widely trusted by manufacturers, regulators, and consumers, particularly within the European market. VDE certification reflects a high level of engineering excellence and commitment to compliance with both German and international standards.
