Dd Regalo IN THE BOX [out my mind] Maria Andipa Cultural presents a one night only pop-up exhibition of new work by Contemporary artist Dd Regalo.

Join us at Andipa Gallery in Knightsbridge, London, UK on Sunday 02 October from 4-7pm for a drinks preview.

--------------In his new body of work, Dd Regalo explores internal and external human connection. Each painting moves along a different tangent of this theme while remaining distinctly unique to each other.

Using mixed media techniques, Regalo combines acrylics, oil pastels, charcoal, plaster and collage to create his eclectic expressive compositions. ‘I thought alot about how the relationship we have with ourselves and the relationships we forge with others combine to form our identity. I was interested in the different ways these two elements play-off and balance each other.’ - Dd

“There is a balance between everything in life; an

ebb and flow that pushes away and pulls back.

My

art is a narrative of this duality, both in subject

and spirit.”

Born in Calgary, Canada, Dd Regalo is a Contemporary artist currently based in London, UK. Working across several forms of visual art including painting, collage and video, Regalo’s work often combines multiple medias in each piece.

By utilising and highlighting different charateristics of the materials, he creates unique textural and visual effects within his compisitions.

Regalo’s work is both authentic and disctinctively personal. Drawing from real-life experience as well as encounters with the people and moments that inspire him to create, he sites travel as being as especially important catalyst for inspiring new work. He has lived and worked in several countries including Australia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom as well as his home country, Canada.
