Manchester City called in Dawnvale to assist with the redevelopment of the Ethiad Stadium’s South Stand Concourse. Keen to create an elevated experience for fans during home games, the turnkey redevelopment of the Concourse saw a series of modern, vibrant new spaces created where ticket holders could meet, eat, drink, and socialise in dedicated standing and seating areas.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE OPTIONS

Capable of welcoming more than 55,000 fans to each home game, and many more during other major sport and entertainment events, the new Concourse needed to offer plentiful food and dining options. A dedicated concession allows for speedy service to reduce queues during peak times.

ENHANCED ENTERTAINMENT

The redeveloped South Stand also carefully considered the overall fan experience. A new DJ booth and large live screens mean visitors can enjoy pre-match, half-time and post-match make visits all the more memorable.

NEW SEATING AREAS

As part of Dawnvale’s redesign, additional seating areas were added to the South Stand. These seating areas, which feature bleacher and bench seating with poseur ledges make the concourse more comfortable and welcoming for match day fans and create dedicated zones to consume purchase food and drink.

From Pep Guardiola to Roberto Mancini, Manchester City’s managers read like a football hall of fame. The club’s illustrious roll call of managers was therefore the perfect inspiration for the stylish, modern new hospitality suite created as part of extensive development works at Etihad Stadium.

RESTAURANT FIT OUT

A number of city’s former managers have in the design of Manager’s Corner restaurant. Dawnvale envisioned a space that paid homage to the laid back culture of the Med, with a casual and relaxed design that invites ticket holders to relax over elevated match day food and drink.

SOCIAL SETTING

The Manager’s Corner is a great spot to catch up with friends and fellow fans before and during the game. To ensure the hospitality experience is a memorable one, the space is designed to allow groups to relax, with a choice of tables and banquet seating.

THE MENU

The Manager’s corner menu is pure Naples via Manchester, with a selection of premium Italian tapas, freshly cooked pizza and charcuterie, all set to a feature wall of past and present managers. Premium drinks are also available from the on-site bar.

A TURNKEY PACKAGE

Dawnvale designed a full turnkey solution for the Manager’s corner. Our design includes a beautiful pizza oven, which provides a focal point for the plaster bar frontage, with a modern mild steel bar top, upper back bar display and accompanying overhead glass rack.

ACCRINGTON STANLEY

The £2.5 million state-of-the-art hospitality and conference venue was developed with 3 new hospitality suites, the Chairman’s Lounge, the 1968 Lounge and The Snug.

It was Dawnvale who were called in when Accrington Stanley wanted to enhance their matchday experience for fans at the Wham Stadium.

LOUNGE

The 1968 Lounge, named after the year the club reformed following their shock resignation from the Football League in 1962, was designed to be used on matchdays for hospitality but could also be hired out for other events.

THE SNUG

The Snug, or champagne bar is a smaller, more intimate venue with dedicated waiter service. Developed as a private function room with its own bar, the glass fronted lounge offers great viewing over the stadium pitch.

CHAIRMAN’S LOUNGE

The Chairman’s Lounge is a glass fronted hospitality suite offering panoramic views over complete with waiter service for a table of 16 offering two-course pre-match meals.

Manchester has a thriving pub scene so it should come as no surprise to hear that Manchester City FC were keen to offer match day visitors a quintessential northern pub experience during renovations at the Etihad Stadium.

A TRADITIONAL EXPERIENCE

The Dawnvale team was tasked with designing a traditional pub experience to sit within the ultra-modern Ethiad Stadium. This contrast of new and old offers ticket holders a unique experience, and a welcoming, friendly place to relax before the match. The name of the pub is a nod to Manchester City’s former name, Ardwick FC.

THE BAR

The bar is the centre of every pub and it’s no different at The Ardwick. In keeping with the brief to create an authentic, traditional pub experience, we designed an ornate timber bar. To further reinforce the sense of being in one of Manchester’s many historic pubs, the bar itself has aged tile frontage and beautifully traditional brass detailing.

DÉCOR

The Ardwick’s interiors were designed to mimic a relaxed, neighbourhood local. The authentic décor includes retro chalk board signage, old fashioned darts board tv covers, vintage-look textured wallpaper and a classic juke box. With a neutral colour palette, interspersed with dark wood table and seating, it’s the perfect destination to discuss the on-pitch action with friends.

FOOD AND DRINK

In keeping with the proud tradition of classic pubs across the north of England, the Ardwick also offers guests a premium selection of food and drink. Ticket holders can enjoy cask ales on tap, with a selection which changes weekly. Traditional pub grub is also served, with hearty meals including pies, pork pies, scotch eggs and lamb shank.

Inspired by Manchester City’s most iconic and most loved shirts, KITS Sports Bar is a modern, colourful space which pays homage to the club itself. Located in the Etihad Stadium’s East Stand, it offers a comfortable and relaxed environment for ticket holders on match days.

KITS sports bar as part of a long running partnership with the Premier League club.

MODERN COMFORT

With it’s great views of the pitch, padded stadium seats in the East Stand, VIP parking and premium food and drinks, KITS delivers a great match day experience for all in relaxed and comfortable surroundings.

SELF-SERVE

KITS is a contemporary take on the traditional sports bar experience, with hospitality guests able to self-serve from a dozen different beer pumps on the beer wall, along with kiosks, coffee machines and soft drinks dispensers.

NO QUEUES

The KITS self-serve concept was purposefully designed to enhance the customer experience by omitting the standard queuing process. In addition to the self-serve features, Dawnvale added numerous ordering screen points across the venue and QR ordering with food collected from a dedicated counter when ready.

TURNKEY DESIGN
