


Competitive cheerleading brings a significant amount of pressure on competition days. At Davis, we strive to replicate that same level of intensity during our practices. Throughout the season, your athlete will engage with various alternates and team members rotating in and out of positions, creating the most competitive teams for the mat.
It is crucial for both your family and athlete to recognize that our coaches are committed to helping them reach their fullest potential, often believing in their abilities even more than they do themselves. We maintain high expectations for every athlete and will hold them accountable to these standards during each practice and competition.
We kindly ask that you ensure your family can meet our expectations before joining a team at Davis. If this commitment does not align with your family’s capabilities, we provide a range of other programs that may be more suitable.
Mandatory Practice
Guidelines at Davis
Starting in June, attendance at practices is MANDATORY. Many families in our program make significant sacrifices to ensure they never miss a practice, and we are seeking athletes who can bring that same commitment. Missing practices will hinder the progress of our teams, so we expect all athletes to be present at every session. Absences should only occur in cases of emergencies.
Practices at Davis will commence ON TIME, and we expect athletes to be prepared and ready before practice begins. Each minute an athlete arrives late detracts from valuable TEAM training time.
We are proud of the working relationship we have developed throughout the years with school coaches. Communication will be the key to success if your athlete will be enjoying the experience of both allstar and school cheerleading this season.

There will be plenty of volunteer opportunities available for you to engage and forge lifelong bonds and friendships.
We also aim to collaborate with you in navigating the emotions and feelings your athlete may experience this season. Competitive cheerleading is both a challenging and rewarding sport, offering valuable life lessons that our athletes can carry with them for years. We believe that quitting should never be an option mid-season once you commit to a team sport. There is always a way to help your athlete regain their motivation if they feel defeated or reluctant to return to practice. It's essential to be attentive to these feelings as practices intensify in October and November. With open lines of communication, we can ensure that your athlete feels happy, loved, acknowledged, and understood in this competitive environment!
In light of the significant scoring changes this season, our team selections and placements will be adjusted accordingly. Our aim is to remain competitive at all levels and with every team in our program. We are seeking well-rounded athletes at each level who can demonstrate perfect technique in tumbling, jumps, and stunting. New tumbling passes that highlight creativity and increased difficulty will be introduced at all levels, so even if you believe your athlete has reached their maximum potential at a level, rest assured there is still more to learn based on the updated scoring criteria.
This season, our objective is for each athlete to compete confidently on the competition stage. We do not anticipate moving many of our current athletes and teams up a level. Instead, we will focus on maximizing our teams to compete at the high caliber of competitions we have selected. For example, a strong level 2 athlete we seek for our level 2 teams should have nearly perfect tumbling technique, be capable of executing multiple level 2 tumble passes (including new, creative ones), demonstrate mental toughness and readiness for intensive coaching, contribute to all stunting elements in whichever position is deemed suitable, and have jumps that are progressing towards "level" height. We fully expect our advanced level 2 teams to include athletes who are either starting to work on or already have tucks. This indicates they are confident in their level 2 skills and ready to compete against the best level 2 athletes in the nation.
MOST OF OUR ATHLETES participate in Traveling Teams which travel to out-of-state events and compete 7 times during the 20252026 season. Travel includes NCA , Worlds or Summit.
Tuition is set at $170 per month for each athlete across ALL TEAMS, Levels 1 to 5. This fee covers two practices per week, along with an hour of tumbling included in the summer sessions. Specialty classes can be added for an extra fee of $50 after summer. Additional practices will be incorporated into the schedule starting in October, without any increase in tuition.

All travel expenses for in-state and out-of-state competi- tions are the responsibility of each family.
RETURNING FAMILY INCENTIVE
A $50 referral fee will be credited to your account for EACH athlete you bring to DAVIS who participates for the season. Credit will be applied to your December statement.
By popular demand, this 2ND OPTION is available for families that prefer NOT to travel out- of-state for competitions and for athletes who need an introduction year for allstars
This option is perfect for the entry-level athlete and for families that would like to join DAVIS but are not able to commit to cheerrelated travel at this time. We practice one day per week.

Dance choreography sessions will take place during regular practice in mid-September. Each team will have two choreography days, lasting 3 to 5 hours each.
Specific times and dates will be communicated via email once the team rosters for the new season are finalized.
HOW OFTEN DO WE PRACTICE?

A Team Representative serves as the link between the coach and the parents. Each team has one designated Team Rep. Their responsibilities include organizing meeting spots at competitions, distributing wristbands, and facilitating team functions and communication. It's important to note that Team Reps do not engage in gym-related decisions, coaching matters, or accounting issues

Our athletes wear professional and uniform clothing consistently during practices and competitions. Please refer to the chart below and circle the size for each clothing item you require. Note that the blue sizes indicate youth sizes, while the red sizes represent adult sizes.

Attendance is crucial to team success. An "absent request" form must be filled out prior to the missed practice. One unexcused Absences = $25 fine. No practice can be missed two weeks prior to any competition.

Vacations are prohibited during the competition season unless the gym is closed and the athlete has obtained approval from their coaches. It is essential to discuss any vacation plans with your coaches at any time.
Furthermore, any requests for summer vacations must be submitted in writing at least two weeks prior to the missed practice(s).

In the event of an injury, it is the parent's responsibility to obtain professional assistance. Each athlete is required to have their own medical insurance. After consulting with a physician, please submit an evaluation of the athlete's injury or status to Davis All Stars. If a serious injury occurs, a doctor's release is necessary.
If any of the above rules are compromised, the following actions will occur:
•1st Violation: athlete will be sent home
•2nd Violation: The athlete may be removed from the team or entire program.
During the competition season, cheerleaders will be asked to travel. Some athletes will travel to national events out of the state. In this case, a separate rule sheet is handed out closer to the time of competition, it is the responsibility of each team member and his/her family. All Team members will wear the DAVIS All-Star clothing to each function. Uniforms articles should be packed neatly into your team bag. All team members will stay together with the coaches and follow

Please keep all All-Star Clothing, Warm-Ups and Uniform in goodcondition. Please report any lost damaged uniform items to your coach.The cost of replacement will be the responsibility of the cheerleader. Please wear ASSIGNED gear to practice. Parents are not allowed to come onto the floor for any reason. You may enter 10 minutes prior to practice ending.
All athletes are placed on a team at the discretion of the coaches. Age experience & ability all factor into placement. Please understand that athletes may be repositioned, moved or replaced at any time at the discretion of the coaches. Any changes are made to benefit the team as a whole.
•A schedule of payments is listed in this handbook. All monthly fees are due the 28th of the month. Please make all payments in the payment box located in the parent viewing area. You will receive a monthly statement of your account with all payments listed. (We will invoice you on the 27th of each month.) Please keep all copies in the event of a question or a discrepancy. Please make all checks payable to Davis Allstars.
•A late fee of $40 will be assessed for all payments made after the 5th. All other fees are due on
EXACT due date. You may pay by cash, check, credit card or money order. Parents and responsible adults will be asked to sign a financial contract. Each person signing the contract will be responsible for keeping his/her child's account current. Please make all checks payable to Davis, Inc.
•Monthly Tuition cannot be pro-rated for any reason.
•Tuition, Choreography, Camp and Nationals fees are nonrefundable.
•By the 5th of each month, your account must be up to date. Otherwise, athlete will be moved to an alternate position.
As a parent, you will receive information in several ways, such as, monthly newsletters and emails from your coach or Team Rep. Check www.davisallstargym.com for new updates as well.
Occasionally, there are opportunities to participate in fundraisers that require youreffort outside of cheer. Profits resulting from your help will be directly posted to your account. Any surplus of funds raised can be used as gym credit.
All transportation/accommodations to local competitions are the solely the responsibility of each family. We will make every effort to provide information in a timely manner. However, if a competition is cancelled or resched- uled, Davis All-Stars will not be responsible for reimbursement for any reason.
There is no designated viewing area. Parents and friends are requested to remain outside the training zone. We aim for your child to maximize their practice time, which requires their complete focus. Distractions can impact the entire team and may pose safety concerns.
If a parent or anyone is seen speaking negatively about a team member, coach, another parent, or cheerleader, they will be addressed and may be asked to leave. Continued negative behavior will result in the child being removed from the team, as we do not tolerate such conduct. In cases of verbal assault or threats directed at a student, coach, or parent, the family will be dismissed from the program.
Your commitment and encouragement are equally vital to us as they are to your child!
We invite all parents to come together and support every Davis team. Additionally, we encourage you to wear Davis All-Star apparel during competitions to show your support.
It is essential to demonstrate respect towards the coaching staff, other teams, and the hosting organizations, as you are representing Davis All-Stars and your child.
The sale or creation of your own DAVIS clothing is prohibited. This restriction includes team names and any resemblance to logos, affiliations, or programs. Parents, athletes, and staff who wish to participate in a contest while wearing the DAVIS uniform or representing The DAVIS All Stars in any media must obtain prior permission from the Owner.
The Davis All-Stars is actively working on expanding our social media presence. While we truly value all the likes, comments, and shares we receive, we also recognize the potential dangers of social media for both children and adults. To foster an open conversation aimed at ensuring your family's safety and peace of mind, we have outlined some important rules and information. We utilize social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others to showcase our sport to a global audience. Some of our communications are intended for internal purposes, focusing on team planning and sharing uplifting messages. Meanwhile, other posts are promotional, targeting the wider public.

Many of our athletes, with the consent of their parents, manage their own social media accounts. We value their ability to connect, share ideas, and support one another. However, we firmly discourage any type of bullying, negative comments, criticism, use of foul language, or sharing inappropriate images. Such behavior is not only harmful but can also lead to removal from the team.
Engaging in social media responsibly can be enjoyable. We can set a positive example by reducing our screen time, focusing on the real people in our lives, and sharing respectful content. In this spirit, parents of our athletes are not allowed to make negative remarks about cheer coaches, cheer athletes, cheer programs, event producers, or event outcomes. All posts related to the gym and cheerleading, in general, should maintain a respectful tone.

Individuals of all ages, including youth, teens, and adults, may experience anxiety, envy, depression, feelings of isolation, and even thoughts of self-harm or suicide. We suggest that families establish a personalized internet usage pledge. Additionally, we advocate for families and friends to spend quality time together offline, engaging in face-to-face conversations, actively listening, playing together, and nurturing loving, meaningful relationships.
