A Trip to WATCH COUNTRY
Exploring the villages within the famed Vallée de Joux, Switzerland is time well spent.
While driving around the mountains and valleys outside Geneva, it’s hard to believe that many of the world’s most famous and fabulous watches are made there. The biggest names in the industry—Rolex, Hublot, Breitling—are located in the little villages nestled in these verdant, rural Swiss valleys in and around Geneva. It is in these villages that renowned watchmakers work their magic, all the while viewing grazing cows and church steeples outside their windows. The first watchmakers, legend holds, were farmers who used the many months of snowy winter to hone their watchmaking skills, and today the industry flourishes in this same quiet, bucolic setting.
The village of Le Solliat is home to arguably the most famous watchmaker of today: Philippe Dufour, as well as of yesteryear: Louis François Reymond, the watchmaker to King Louis XVI of France.
Mr. Dufour’s atelier, in a former schoolhouse where his daughters used to attend classes, and which he shares today with a cheesemaker, is right next door to the farmhouse where Mr. Reymond made the King’s timepiece. Driving around this village and others, it’s easy to find the farmhouses where watchmakers are at work, Mr. Dufour says— just look for homes with an extra-large expanse of windows, since excessive natural light is a necessity for executing the intricacies of this profession.
Mr. Dufour grew up barely a stone’s throw from where he works today, in the neighboring village of Le Sentier, where he attended the École Technique, which has trained many of the current and future watchmakers. When students graduate, they have merely to head down the street to find work at Jaeger-LeCoultre, Patek Philippe or Vacheron Constantin. Or they can go a few kilometers farther, to the village

PURPOSE BUILT
From Formula 1 to the Tour de France and even the depths of the ocean, TUDOR’S watches are made to endure every challenge.
Precision is at the heart of sport, where timing is everything. From a Formula 1 driver’s unparalleled skill, determination, and instincts to a world champion freediver’s assent to the surface after a record dive, timing is critical to their success. TUDOR’s founder Hans Wilsdorf set out from the beginning to craft robust watches offering superlative timekeeping in physically challenging situations. Today, Tudor has established partnerships with some of the top players, teams, and athletic organizations around the globe. These relationships inform the brand's authentic approach to its sport watches, making them truly purpose-built tools. Here, we take a deeper look at these timepieces and the sports that have informed their designs from the inside out.
DAVID BECKHAM AND THE BURGUNDY BLACK BAY 58
Tudor and soccer are such a perfect match, it feels like they’ve been in partnership for decades. However, David Beckham has only been a Tudor global brand ambassador since 2017. That year, he joined Tudor’s “Born to Dare” campaign and helped to position the Black Bay as a brand with a rugged and stylish edge, appealing to a broader audience.
The new Burgundy Black Bay 58 is a classic steeped in heritage – drawing its inspi ration from Tudor’s 1950s divers watches. While it may seem like an out-of-the-box choice for Beckham, the athlete is in fact a certified scuba diver, and he's dabbled in freediving. Like the pro-footballer, the latest Black Bay 58 is equal parts performance and style with a rich burgundy color scheme and, for the first time, a 5-link bracelet with a T-fit rapid adjustment clasp.
INTER MIAMI FC AND THE BLACK BAY CHRONO PINK
Tudor doubled down on its work with the sport of soccer in 2024, becoming the Official Timekeeper of Inter Miami FC (which is – fun fact – co-owned by Beckham himself). For the occasion, the brand built on the Black Bay line with a special edition in the team’s signature colors: pink and black. The bold chrono maintains the performance you’ve come to expect from the Black Bay line, from the 200 meters of waterproofness and 70 hr. power reserve, to the manufacture COSC-certified movement. The pink dial and crisp black bezel are the cherry on top of this sport model.
FREEDIVING WORLD CHAMPION MORGAN BOURC'HIS
AND THE PELAGOS ULTRA
Circling back to David Beckham’s foray into freediving, we make our way to another sport matchup for Tudor. The soccer Hall of Famer joined forces with longtime friend of the brand Morgan Bourc'his to train in the art of freediving. Bourc'his work with Tudor has been going strong for over a decade. It started with an ad for the brand’s most serious diver, the Pelagos, and has since led to other collaborations like the more recent “Dare to Dive” campaign. Compared to the Black Bay, the Pelagos is optimized for pro divers. The latest introduction to the collection –the Pelagos Ultra – is the most technically capable yet. It features the signature titanium build and now a whopping 1000-meter depth rating. The lume in two colors (blue and green) enhances visibility in low light conditions, and a totally redesigned three-link bracelet with a T-fit clasp, safety catch, and diver’s extension with a new visual indicator system.
GIRO D’ITALIA GRAND TOUR AND THE PELAGOS FXD CHRONO “PINK”
The initial Tudor Pelagos FXD Cycling Edition features an all-black design with relatively subtle red and white accents. However, in the subsequent additions within the partnership, Tudor has gotten increasingly bold. Earlier this year, the brand introduced a new pink version in honor of the Giro D’Italia Grand Tour. Tudor became the Official Timekeeper of the iconic three-week-long race back in 2023. Inspired by the Maglia Rosa, or “pink jersey,” worn by the winner, the Pelagos FXD Chrono gets a splash of hot pink around the unique tachymeter scale, as well as the chronograph registers and the pink striped strap.
FABIAN CANCELLARA
AND THE PELAGOS FXD CHRONO “YELLOW”
The most recent release within the cycling realm celebrates the Tudor Pro Cycling Team’s Tour de France debut. It marks Fabian Cancellara’s return to the Tour for the first time since 2016 in his new role as team owner. He is the winner of multiple Olympic and World Championships. In 2022, he took ownership of the Swiss Racing Academy Team then tapped Tudor as a partner soon after and rebranded to the Tudor Pro Cycling Team that led to the first Pelagos FXD Cycling Edition. This latest model takes the bright yellow color of the 'Maillot Jaune' (yellow jersey) worn by the Tour race leader, to give the Pelagos FXD Chrono its most audacious look yet.
VISA CASH APP RB FORMULA ONE TEAM AND THE BLACK BAY CHRONO “CARBON 25”
We revisit the Black Bay Collection and another high-speed sport: Formula One.
Cars, racing, and watches have long gone hand-in-hand. Like many watchmakers, Tudor first got involved in motorsports back in the heyday of the 1960s.
Today, the brand is putting its support behind the young Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team. For the Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25,” functionality remains at the forefront with a lightweight case rendered entirely in carbon fiber. It houses an impressive COSC-certified manufacture movement for ultimate precision in timing every aspect of the race. The design is topped off with the team’s signature blue in accents across the dial and in the stitching on the hybrid leather-rubber strap with a “tire pattern.”
SARAH HIRINI AND THE BLACK BAY CERAMIC
For our last stop through Tudor’s sport-fueled timekeepers, we return to the field. The brand’s work with the captain of the Black Ferns Sevens rugby team Sarah Hirini. She became one of New Zealand’s first contracted female rugby players in 2013 and has since led her team to become Olympic Champions in Tokyo and six-time World Series winners. Her model of choice is the Black Bay Ceramic, which boasts a slew of features from its lightweight ceramic build to its dually COSC and METAS-certified manufacture caliber.
Drivers Liam Lawson and Isaak Hadjar
We’ve come a long way since 1982, when Jerry Amerosi opened his first store at the Caesar’s Bay Bazaar in Brooklyn, to our all-new location on Richmond Road, Staten Island. Over that time, our logo and branding have been updated and refined.

THE PERFECT MATCH
You’ve found the right guy, now how to find the engagement ring that’s totally you.
the adventuress
You crave new people, places, and experiences, so it’s hardly surprising that your passport is always ready to go. You’re the girl most likely to take risks—even in your fashion choices; you go for the unexpected, say, wearing a Chanel tweed jacket with jeans and high tops. However, with your neverending schedule, you also tend to gravitate towards practical wardrobe pieces and accessories that can take you from A.M. to P.M. Your engagement ring match should be as bold and daring as you are. Our suggestion: a one-piece stackable-style eternity band goes perfectly with your go-go-go lifestyle. Or stack two or three multi-stone statement bands together, Jenny Luker of Platinum Guild International suggests. “Today, brides are looking for a band that not only complements an engagement ring but can also be worn on its own. And many designs can easily compete with an engagement ring in terms of dazzle and uniqueness.
Shopping tip Some stones aren’t practical for everyday active wear. If you plan to wear your ring every day, you may want to opt for supersturdy diamonds and sapphires. Also consider the setting. The most often-heard complaint about the invisible or tension setting—where the gemstones appear to be held in by nothing—is that you have to be extra careful that the stones don’t fall out.
Engagement rings by TACORI.
the romantic You love to surround yourself with keepsakes, scrapbooks, and happy memories. You’re the girl most likely to keep a leather-bound journal on her night table and display family photos in beautiful picture frames. You also treasure anything passed down from your family, like your grandmother’s pearls that you probably keep in an elegant box.
Your engagement ring match There’s nothing more sentimental or sweet than a family heirloom—or a beautiful vintage-inspired ring that looks like one, says Baltimorebased fashion consultant Zoey Washington. “A champagne diamond in an antique setting would be perfect for you— and of course, you’ll have it engraved,” she says.
Shopping tip Vintage diamonds tend to have a more subdued sparkle than modern-cut diamonds, so if you want a high-wattage dazzler, go with a new ring designed to have that inherited look.
the traditionalist Not only is your closet filled with chic, timeless classics—think pencil skirts, ballet flats, and silk and cashmere anything—but no one appreciates monogrammed towels and perfectly pressed white bed linens more than you do.
You might follow the trends, but when it comes time to buy, you’ll always seek out those simple classic pieces that will last forever.
Your engagement ring match A stunning solitaire round or princess cut diamond with a slim platinum band, which is perfect for traditionalists because it will never go out of style. You can wear it with anything, says Luker.
Shopping tip Round and princess cut diamonds aren’t your only options, says Luker. “If you want something a little different, consider an oval, pear, or marquise cut stone; they’re timeless too,” she says.
the boho bride Free-spirited and artsy, your bohemian-chic style can be seen in the free-flowing clothes you favor, the rainbow of patterns and prints you love to surround yourself with, and the eclectic mix of furnishings in your home—and each piece probably has a story of where it came from.
From bright red lipstick to a bold pink sofa, your love of color has no bounds and shows that you are not afraid of making a statement.
Your engagement ring match A fancy-cut colored gemstone ring is for you, says Washington. “You can make it the center stone in a pave band or accent a center diamond with your favorite-colored stones,” says Luker.
Shopping tip Although diamonds are the most durable stone, sapphires are a close second, and they come in gorgeous colors beyond blue, including vibrant pink, golden yellow, and deep purple.

It was an unforgettable moment proposing to my future bride on a vintage boat in the canals of Amsterdam.

Sarah: When you know you know, when I looked at him one day and thought to myself, “I’m so incredibly lucky to be with someone that adores me as much as he does”.

Sabrina: The proposal was for sure a total surprise on my end. One of the best, yet one of the most unforgettable moments of my life.
Mario: It was a surprise I planned everything myself.
WHEN DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS THE ONE FOR YOU?
Sabrina: I realized he was the one for me when I saw the true him. He wasn’t just this guy who looked tough with tattoos, but he’s got the purest heart and will do anything for his loved ones. He will do anything in his power just to put a smile on someone’s face & for that, I respected him.
Mario: I knew she was the one from the beginning, caring, loving and loyal. I knew I couldn’t let her go.

Sabrina: Powerful, loyal and respect.
Mario: Trust, respect and growth.
Victoria & James
COULD YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL? WAS IT PLANNED, SPONTANEOUS, OR A TOTAL SURPRISE?
James: Our proposal was something I had been thoughtfully planning for over a month—a moment I wanted to feel deeply personal and genuine to us. I chose the rooftop of our favorite restaurant, a place that’s quietly become a part of our story over the years. It was private—just the two of us—exactly the kind of setting she always preferred.
When I asked her to marry me, there were no grand distractions, just the song "At Last” by Etta James playing. We've been together since we were seventeen, and that song has always mirrored our journey: two people growing up together, finding their way, and somehow, through it all, finding home in each other.
After she said yes, we shared a quiet dinner on the rooftop, taking the time to really savor the moment and the feeling that after a decade together, we were stepping into a new chapter of the same beautiful story.
WHEN DID YOU KNOW HE WAS THE ONE FOR YOU?
Victoria: I knew James was the one for me when I recognized that throughout all stages of our life, we kept choosing one another. From the highs of new opportunities and to the lows of difficult times in our own personal lives, we continued to show love, support, respect, and grace to one another- that’s when I knew.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE GERALD PETERS FOR YOUR RINGS?
Victoria: Well, I had known the family since they were my neighbors just a few houses down during my childhood years. I went to meet with Gerry and the rest of the team when I began ring shoppingthey all made me feel so comfortable! Gerry is a young, knowledgeable, and personable gentlemen with whom I was able to relate with. GP was extremely professional, responsive, and efficient throughout the entire process.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR LOVE STORY IN THREE OR FOUR WORDS?
Victoria and James: Profound, selfless, patient, and enduring.
Christina & Nick
COULD YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL? WAS IT PLANNED, SPONTANEOUS, OR A TOTAL SURPRISE?
Christina: We were supposed to be going to dinner at Casa Belvedere with Nick’s family. When we pulled up, I had a little feeling something was up—Nick kept saying he was cold and wanted to go inside before everyone else.
We walked around to the back of the restaurant, and that’s when I saw it… a beautiful heart lit up with the words “Will You Marry Me?”
I was completely shocked—in the best way. It was the most perfect, thoughtful moment, and I still can’t believe it actually happened. Our family and friends were there to celebrate with us, which made the night even more magical.
That night was the start of our forever.
WHEN DID YOU KNOW HE WAS THE ONE FOR YOU?
Christina: Everything was just easy. Life came together like a puzzle, and all of the pieces finally fit. As cliché as it sounds, it was like finding our other halves.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE GERALD PETERS FOR YOUR RINGS?
Christina: Gerald Peter’s has always been a part of every story in my life. From baptisms to communions, graduations, and more, Gerald Peter’s has been there for every milestone. They genuinely make every experience special and unique. They know your story, remember your story, and treat you like family.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR LOVE STORY IN THREE OR FOUR WORDS?
Christina: I would describe our love story as effortless, fateful, and destined.
Don't save diamonds for a special occasion. They can take your basics up a notch, combining comfort, convenience and quiet luxury. Style consultant Genevieve Yraola suggests seven key outfit-making pieces you’ll wear with everything.
Why they belong in your jewelry box. Diamond studs in any size or cut are classy and timeless enough to be worn every single day. Their versatility makes them a great investment, taking your from daytime casual to a nitetime vibe.
Why it belongs in your jewelry box. A touch of diamonds — on the bezel or as markers on the watch face — adds a hint of glamour to a timepiece, yet remains understated enough for everyday wear.
Why it belongs in your jewelry box. This slim wristlet of diamonds is subtle enough for everyday wear. Stack a few together to up the sparkly impact or layer one in with a bunch of metal bangle bracelets for a low-key pop of shimmer.

Why it belongs in your jewelry box. A delicate, understated diamond necklace works as well with a cocktail dress as with a T-shirt and jeans. It’s also an all-season accessory, looking perfectly appropriate with a white button-down shirt or a skinny tank top. You can also layer it with other similar-weight necklaces for an on-trend look.
Why it belongs in your jewelry box. Bold and beautiful, the cocktail ring comes in many shapes and sizes, and it's always a conversation piece. It’s the perfect accessory for simple outfits from a little black dress to jeans and a crisp white shirt, says Yraola, whose guiding principle is the larger the piece, the less jewelry you should wear.
Why they belong in your jewelry box. Not only is it a great everyday look that has achieved classic status, but there are also numerous ways to wear stacked rings. The thin diamond bands can stand alone, be mixed in with your other dainty rings, or sparkle lovers can pile on a few for a more powerful look. “You can start with one and just keep adding to your collection,” says Yraola.
Why they belong in your jewelry box. Yraola advises investing in a pair of linear-shaped drop diamond earrings for evening over a statement necklace. “It’s the shape for fall,” she says. In addition, “the longer shape will elongate the neckline and offer more versatility, no matter what the outfit.” Selections from our Shy Creation Collection.

The collection quickly became a symbol of self-expression for a dynamic generation interested in racing sports, thanks to its unconventional dial design. Today, the Top Time remains a go-to for those exploring the world in their own way, at their own pace.”
